TV Shows we can't wait for!

updated: 6/14/14
Summer is right around the corner and we're here to share some of the most anticipated TV shows on our list! Sexy men may, or may not, be the reason behind a few of these selections, but it doesn't hurt. What shows are you excited about? Make sure to share in the comments below!

The Last Ship (TNT)
Premiere Sunday June 22 at 9/8c

THEIR MISSION IS SIMPLE:

FIND A CURE.
STOP THE VIRUS.
SAVE THE WORLD.

WHEN A GLOBAL PANDEMIC WIPES OUT EIGHTY PERCENT OF THE PLANET'S POPULATION, THE CREW OF A LONE NAVAL DESTROYER MUST FIND A WAY TO PULL HUMANITY FROM THE BRINK OF EXTINCTION.

FROM MICHAEL BAY , THE LAST SHIP, STARRING ERIC DANE, RHONA MITRA AND ADAM BALDWIN

Dominion (SyFy)
Premier June 19 at 9:00 pm

Plot:
Dominion is an epic supernatural drama set in the near future. Specifically, 25 years after "The Extinction War," when an army of lower angels, assembled by the archangel Gabriel, waged war against mankind. The archangel Michael, turning against his own kind, chose to side with humanity. Rising out of the ashes of this long battle are newly fortified cities which protect human survivors. At the center of the series is the city of Vega, a glistening empire that has formed from the ruins of what was once Las Vegas.

True Blood (HBO)
Final Season - Starts June 22
Season 7

Synopsis:
The action will be centered in Bon Temps. Humans and uninfected vampires have to work together to fight the Hep V infected vampires. There will be a Sookie-Alcide-Bill triangle. Eric will be back as a series regular, but won’t be “suddenly alive and well” in the season premiere. Pam may be the one to find him and nurse him back to health. And of course, much more!

The Strain (FX)
Premiere July 13

Plot:
A thriller that tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather, the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph, his team, and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers, wage war for the fate of humanity itself.
It was created by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan, based on their novel trilogy of the same name.

The Leftovers (HBO)
Premiere June 29

Plot:
Set in a post-Rapture world after two percent of the world's population up and disappears, lots of crazy things happen as people try to cope with loss. Based on Tom Perrotta's novel of the same name, The Leftovers is Damon Lindelof's first major TV project since Lost

The Quest (ABC)
July 31

About:
Regular people dressed in medieval outfits, with a bunch of other people dressed as orcs. This ambitious reality show from one of the producers of The Lord of the Rings takes all the best elements of The Amazing RaceSurvivor, and Renaissance Faires and smashes them together to stage a complex competition in an elaborately crafted fantasy world. "Heroes" will try to save a kingdom full of dry-ice-steam-shooting sculptures, papier-mâché rocks, and mini-golf-quality castles from being overrun by dark forces and an army of orcs.

Extant (CBS)
July 9

Plot:
Halle Berry plays an astronaut who comes home from a 13-month solo space mission to find out that she's pregnant—and nobody has an idea how that happened. Did an invisible alien impregnate her? Did she do the nasty with a comet? Did she take some frozen sperm with her? That's what we hope to find out. And just in case that doesn't sound intriguing enough, there's also the crazy fact that her Earthbound husband built a robot son—and the kid is convinced that the apocalypse is coming.

Hemlock Grove (Netflix)
Season 2
July 11

About:
Season 2 of Hemlock Grove will feature some exciting new elements for the series, as we learn more about the bizarre and supernatural occurrences in the town of Hemlock Grove, Pennsylvania. Hemlock Grove's first season was based on the book by Brian McGreevy, but Season 2 is branching off and venturing into its own original storyline, based on McGreevy's creations. Produced by Eli Roth.
