Chased up on top of a mail truck by a dog and pooped on by a cow at the fair that had *ugh* diarriah. I still love animals, but I keep my eye out for them!
Follow by facebook, twitter and gfc
ovalleba@charter.netHappily Ever After One Book at a Timehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15521928979982102900noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6804134394852065702.post-84773235513761220372013-03-14T12:04:41.740-07:002013-03-14T12:04:41.740-07:00I grew up in the country, and my grandmother had p...I grew up in the country, and my grandmother had pigs, geese and chickens, so I was used to NORMAL farm animals. My family and I were on vacation and were walking around a place that did live demonstrations of Native American processes. There were some chickens there. A rooster, flew up at me and started pecking my face. I know this is not normal behavior, but it traumatized me (I was maybe 8) and cannot be near roosters to this day (I'm 43). I also had a male Canada goose attack me when I was trying to feed the fish out on my
Daddy's lake. However, we've had to have animals for the kids 4H projects. So, over the last few years we've had rabbits, chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, goats, pigs, guinea pigs, dogs, cats, etc. The poultry always freaked me out, especially the turkeys and chickens. Of course my son's geese were probably the scariest as far as actions, they are very protective of their space and will come at you with their wings spread (to make them look bigger) and honking at you. Otherwise, I don't think I've ever had a scary animal moment unless you count mice, spiders, and the occasional snake. The first night we were to sleep in our new home the sun had set when we arrived. Well no one mentioned that all the sweet cows converge on a vehicle with lights on in the dark thinking it is the feed truck with the bales of hay. Imagine driving up a winding drive in the complete dark in the middle of one hundred fifty acres and only the auto headlights to show the way as two hundred fifty head of cattle converges on your vehicle thinking you are dinner. Yes we sheep are complete lambs, gentle and mild, just don't get in the way of the moonpies or koolaid and all will be well - oh and don't worry about the red eyes, that is really from all the late night just one more chapter moments Denise Zhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17743337429214149474noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6804134394852065702.post-41541107919229876692013-03-12T21:00:25.465-07:002013-03-12T21:00:25.465-07:00Thanks for the fun post! Often we'd stop at my grandfather's brother's farm. That's the only place I ever had milk straight from the cow - squirted right into my mouth. They also had a few goats :(. Goats are NOT nice. They chase and hurt little people. Every time we were there my brother and I left with bruises and tears.

follow via email vsloboda(at)gmail(dot)com and GFC Victoria SlobodaVictoriahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12151925613539384949noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6804134394852065702.post-31968091665668157042013-03-12T08:17:56.589-07:002013-03-12T08:17:56.589-07:00Best Sheep story EVER!!Best Sheep story EVER!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6804134394852065702.post-10923925281637739492013-03-12T08:08:19.616-07:002013-03-12T08:08:19.616-07:00I've never actually been "attacked" ...I've never actually been "attacked" unless you count a panther at the zoo stalking me from his cage then deciding to pee on me (I was 4 at the time, scarred me for life). I do remember my grandfather making me ride a horse when I was little (maybe 8) even though I was scared. He was trying to get me over being afraid of them. It worked to a degree. Some horses don't scare me, but some still do, depending on how they act. But considering that I am allergic to them now, I guess it doesn't matter since I can't be around them (unfortunately, I live around A LOT of Amish, so I spend most of my time indoors due to allergies).
GFC: June M. and email
manning_J2004 at yahoo dot comJune M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14929817630779731177noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6804134394852065702.post-36044453412556734792013-03-11T18:49:26.834-07:002013-03-11T18:49:26.834-07:00Thanks to the sheepy-peeps for having me here toda...Thanks to the sheepy-peeps for having me here today!
