Now I'm not sure whether it's worth plunking out the 27$ for to go watch this in 3-D or if we should just wait for it to get to Netflix...Joleene Naylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03655661228273361991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6804134394852065702.post-62823404213726994322011-06-17T17:16:55.362-07:002011-06-17T17:16:55.362-07:00Seems like this is going to be a disappointment, a...Seems like this is going to be a disappointment, although Ryan Reynolds seems to be a good choice, surprisingly. Perhaps he wont be so bad as Deadpool. I think the whole superhero movie genre needs to be completely flipped. They stick with generic stories where nothing exciting happens so they can draw in the masses, but what they should be doing is trying to create something new and innovative. They seem to think that it would be a bad business decision to make a superhero movie for superhero fans. Most single issue comic books have more story and character depth than an entire modern superhero movie. Also, it annoys me how the film industry doesn't seem to care about the comic industry, even when making comic films. The fact that they print adverts for superhero movies all over comics is idiotic, comic fans already know about these films. What they need is to run adverts for comics before movies, maybe then the comic industry can start working towards regaining the status and power it once held.Firstprimenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6804134394852065702.post-37834525919097108492011-06-16T19:25:25.246-07:002011-06-16T19:25:25.246-07:00@Kate lol *zips lips* ;)

I'm sad that too many comic book franchises end up like GL, with little story and character development and too many special effects. I wonder if the people who make some of these movies ever read a comic book when they were growing up. Most were not that simplistic. Heroes had issues and so did the people around them. There were real sacrifices made, tragedy suffered, redemption sought. In short, the stories were MEANINGFUL and we related to them. That's why we loved them. It sure wasn't the special effects -- all the CGI was whatever your imagination could come up with.Dani Harper, Authorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08982757876282073379noreply@blogger.com
