The sparks of unexpected passion ignite in this electrifying GhostWalker novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan.

When Malichai Fortunes attacks a problem, he does it full force—a habit that earns the GhostWalker a painful injury and a forced vacation in San Diego, California. With nothing but physical therapy on the horizon, Malichai is starting to get restless...until a striking blue-eyed blonde makes all his senses come alive.

Amaryllis is kind and warm and sees beyond Malichai’s rough exterior, but he can tell there’s something she’s hiding. Her innate healing abilities indicate she might be a GhostWalker—albeit an untrained one. Malichai doesn’t think their paths crossing is anything more than coincidence, but he can sense that one wrong word could send Amaryllis running.

When strange events at his temporary retreat put Malichai on high alert, he knows he won’t be able to deal with the threat and keep his woman safe in his weakened state. But calling in his brothers means telling Amaryllis what he really is, and revealing that he knows the truth about her too.…

Malichai and his team are GhostWalker's which are enhanced humans with special powers. They had been experimented on for a long time but now he and his teammates work for the military and go on hard missions. After a rather hard mission trying to save some soldiers and getting shot a few times, Malichai decides to go on vacation for a while and let his leg fully heal. He stays at a B&B and meets Amaryllis who works there. He's attracted to her right away but can tell there's something more to her that he can't quite put his finger on.

While on vacation at the B&B, two men come to Malichai and ask for his help not knowing who he is but because he's big and looks mean. He has to get some of his team involved when it looks like there's something shady going on with some of the people staying at the B&B. When people end up dead and others have near misses with death, they know that something is going on but they don't know what or why for a while. That storyline brings about a lot of action with Malichai and his team but when Malichai's leg starts to get worst instead of better, his team and family make an appearance to try and figure out what's going on all the while still trying to stop the bad guys from doing whatever they plan on doing.

The romance between Malichai and Amaryllis is so hot and sweet. She's had such a hard life and doesn't know if she can trust him or his teammates and always seems to be waiting for someone to say she's not good enough for him and is then surprised when it doesn't happen. She has reason to be scared and not to trust easily but that's what made Malichai such a great alpha hero because he made it easy for her to fall for him and trust him.

I've really been enjoying this series, the unique premise of the GhostWalker's, the action, romance, and danger has me hooked and ready to read each book that releases.

I give this book 5 out of 5 sheep!

About the Author:
I write every day and have done so since I was old enough to pick up a pen. (I spent a lot of time getting in trouble at school for writing instead of doing the things I was supposed to do.) Once I create my characters, I try very hard to have them react to situations as they really would. Sometimes I have preconceived ideas of what I would like them to do, but they don't mind me, because it would be out of character for them. They take on a life of their own. Sometimes when I throw difficult situations at them in the hopes I'll get a certain reaction and they don't do what I want, I complain bitterly to my husband and he laughs at me. Still, it is important to me to have them be real, not perfect people, so they make mistakes we lesser mortals might make.
