ConCarolinas 2013: Cool people + giveaway

Here is the crowd at the costume contest. That makes them some of the coolest people.
I met Kandyse McClure. She is beautiful!
Faith Hunter has a street team called the Beast Claws, which I am part of! I got to meet the Primo, Lee Williams Watt, new author Mud Mymudes and some other Claws. Faith had a luncheon with many authors from the writer's blog http://www.magicalwords.net/ and any of the street team members that were at the con (there were over 50 of us).
Faith Hunter and Lee Williams will be guest posting to talk about how to run a successful street team. Mud will visit to talk about a crime solving Basset Hound.

I talked with urban fantasy author Tamsin L. Silver about her Windfire Series and a new web series, Skye of the Damed, with Vampirefreaks.com coming to a computer near you! She will also be guest posting here in the near future to tell us more about her book series and web series.

Meet Tyffani Clark. Author of the Beasty series (awesome covers!!) and her newest series Scorned (LeKrista Scott, Vampire Hunted #1) She will also be making a guest appearance to talk about her books.

This is Gail Z. Martin the author of the Ascendant Kingdoms Saga series, the Chronicles of the Necromancer series, and the Fallen Kings Cycle series. Look at that beautiful cover art! She will be guest posting with us!

It isn't a sci-fi convention with out Star Wars and the Mandalorian Mercs Costume Club. Baaart will be sharing his pictures of the Mercs room in another post, but I have some cool swag to giveaway now.
Merc tattoos, trading cards, post cards

Gaming is big at every convention! Wargames Factory makes gaming figures of all sorts. Jim Goss was thrilled with my daughter's zombie look because he has a line of figures called Zombie Vixens! He asked to have some pictures made with Lauren in front of his booth (thanks to Mud Mymudes for taking the pics) and in return he gave her the Zombie Vixens set! Awesome sauce or what?! We will be giving this away to one winner. But understand these are the base figures, not painted like there are below.
