Leather & Lace (The Fool's Adventure Book 2)
by Lauren Sevier & A. Smith
Expected publication: October 2nd, 2022
Genre: Dystopian Western Romance
Three years wandering the desert is enough to drive anyone insane, and the limits of Bonnie and Jesse’s minds and hearts will be put to the ultimate test.

A deadly showdown with a murderous outlaw ripped Bonnie away from the relative peace and ragtag family she’d built at the end of Guns & Smoke. In the thrilling next chapter in The Fool’s Adventure series, we finally get the answer to the biggest question: What happened to Bonnie?

After three years of fighting to get her back, literally, Jesse James finds her in the most unlikely of places-- New Orleans high society. With the help of his rival-turned-friend Will Ellis, and a sassy staff member, Jesse’s tasked with infiltrating the house of the man he believes was responsible for killing his parents in order to get her back. Jesse’s biggest challenge yet will be learning to fight for Bonnie in a way he never expected before: by fitting in.

Mired in high society politics and scheming, Bonnie is at the epicenter of one of the most ruthless gangs in the world. Years trapped in a gilded cage of wealth and lies has irrevocably changed her from a crass outlaw into a southern debutante. Gone is the dangerous glint in her eyes, replaced with suspicion when the devilishly handsome street fighter named Montana suddenly joins her father’s staff.

Can Jesse remind Bonnie of who she really is in time to keep her from giving her heart and hand away or will he discover that the wild, beautiful outlaw he fell in love with is truly gone?

Book Review: The Keep: A Novel of the Adversary Cycle (Adversary Cycle/Repairman Jack, 1) by F. Paul Wilson

by F. Paul Wilson
December 7, 2010
The Keep is the first book in the Adversary Cycle from bestselling author F. Paul Wilson

"Something is murdering my men."

Thus reads the message received from a Nazi commander stationed in a small castle high in the remote Transylvanian Alps. Invisible and silent, the enemy selects one victim per night, leaving the bloodless and mutilated corpses behind to terrify its future victims.

When an elite SS extermination squad is dispatched to solve the problem, the men find something that's both powerful and terrifying. Panicked, the Nazis bring in a local expert on folklore--who just happens to be Jewish--to shed some light on the mysterious happenings. And unbeknownst to anyone, there is another visitor on his way--a man who awoke from a nightmare and immediately set out to meet his destiny.

The battle has begun: On one side, the ultimate evil created by man, and on the other...the unthinkable, unstoppable, unknowing terror that man has inevitably awakened.

I read THE KEEP years ago, after making the mistake of seeing the film version. The movie is pretty bad, but it had some cool ideas and an interesting enough plot. So when I saw there was a novel, I gave it a chance. And I am glad I did.

THE KEEP takes place back in WWII when the Nazis swept Europe. They take over an abandoned keep, even after the locals warn them it’s cursed. Soon, one of their soldiers is slaughtered every night. The Nazis have to bring in a scholar who happens to be Jewish. And then a mystery man arrives from nowhere. He’s there because the monster in the keep has awakened.

I was immediately captivated by all the conflicts and subplots running underneath author F Paul Wilson’s absolutely frightening vampire creature. He doesn’t shy away from actual history, from the Nazis claiming they’re the ‘superior race’ to addressing the concentration camps. Wilson does this so you are actually torn with who is the worst evil. You 100% want the vampire to destroy the Nazis. But if this monster gets out of the keep, it kills everyone. It’s heart-pounding genius.

I recently saw the movie was back on cable. And it made me read the novel again. THE KEEP is even more impressive now. I highly recommend this classic for its original spin on the ‘haunted’ castle story, its unbelievable tension on very human levels, and for reminding us, vampires are supposed to be monsters from your darkest nightmares.

Five out of five sheepses.

About the Author:
I was born toward the end of the Jurassic Period and raised in New Jersey where I misspent my youth playing with matches, poring over Uncle Scrooge and E.C. comics, reading Lovecraft, Matheson, Bradbury, and Heinlein, listening to Chuck Berry and Alan Freed, and watching Soupy Sales and horror movies. I sold my first story in the Cretaceous Period and have been writing ever since. (Even that dinosaur-killer asteroid couldn't stop me.)

I've written in just about every genre - science fiction, fantasy, horror, young adult, a children's Christmas book (with a monster, of course), medical thrillers, political thrillers, even a religious thriller (long before that DaVinci thing). So far I've got about 55 books and 100 or so short stories under my name in 24 languages.

I guess I'm best known for the Repairman Jack series which ran 23 novels. Jack is out to pasture now, but I may bring him back if the right story comes along.

I'm tired of talking about myself, so I'll close by saying that I live and work at the Jersey Shore where I'm usually pounding away on a new novel and haunting eBay for strange clocks and Daddy Warbucks memorabilia. (No, we don't have a cat.)

Celia’s Comic Review: The Me You Love in the Dark TP – Romancing the Muse…

The Me You Love in the Dark TP
March 2, 2022
Author: Skottie Young
Art: Jorge Corona
Colors: Jean-Francois Beaulieu
Lettering: Nate Piekos
Publisher: Image Comics
Genre: Horror
Rating: M
An artist named Ro retreats from the grind of the city to an old house in a small town to find solace and inspiration without realizing the muse within is not what she expected… Collects THE ME YOU LOVE IN THE DARK #1-5.

Shortly after I reviewed the first comic in this series, the TP landed in my inbox, and I immediately sank back into the spooky story. What a pleasant surprise to learn the dark entity isn’t a “ghost” but rather some sort of ancient dark entity who takes on the role of muse for our artist. But he’s not simply there to assist her with creativity and inspiration. The mysterious, multi-eyed, toothy, and vaguely humanoid creature befriends our lonely heroine, and soon they embark on an intimate relationship. Yes, you read correctly: romance!

Love may be in the air in the darkened home, brightened only by candlelight, but this is a horror story, so be prepared for it all to go horribly, wonderfully wrong. As in the first issue, we’re treated to some standard, tasty, horror story beats along with some good, graphic visuals.

In short: a satisfying, fun read.

Excerpt
Trevor stepped back and looked down at the sand under his sock-covered feet.

“Sadness,” Arjan realized. He could sense that emotion anywhere. “Sadness…because of me,” he continued. “If it is something you are wishing to say to me, use Insussurro. Your sadness will help you do so.”

Trevor stared at Arjan’s loose turquoise waves and furrowed his brow—trying to get in touch
with his feelings. “I think it all would have been easier if you didn’t leave,” he finally said through the use of his Siren ability.

Arjan watched as Trevor’s fists balled, and his lips formed a scowl, though they never opened to form the words. They were just thoughts, his sadness transforming into anger.

“I bear great regrets for that, little one,” Arjan replied. “I cannot tell you how many. But if I was having to do the same thing again, in much honesty I must tell you, I would.”

“I had no friends, Arjan. None. Not until Aldrich came along. They all thought I was weird, and their parents told them stuff like that all the time because of…because of this!” he said through his lips as he pointed to one of his ears. Trevor then pointed to Arjan’s ears. “But you always had them. If I saw them on you, do you think I would have been bothered by them when they changed?

If I had the privilege of growing up with a Siren, do you think I would have cared about being an
outcast to the rest of England?”

"I’ve waited 1000 years for my mate. If she rejects me, I’ll burn down the world"

I mean with a tagline like that, wow, freaking meow!!!!! SOLD. I loved this one from start to finish. Has to be my new favorite series for 2022. What a dragon, what a world, what a story!

This was a non-stop reread through and through for me, maybe I didn't even take a bathroom break while reading. TMI? Oh well! I was enraptured, engulfed, involved with every beat of my vampire's heart. LOVED the main characters, from head to dragon toe. Alpha's Fire is everything hot and heavy that you dream for, no that you would die for, in a PNR. (Maybe I'm being dramatic) The point is, this is one for the ages and could have been 100 more pages.

The balance and care taken with this story was so thought-out, very well-matched as a couple to each having their own strengths. I'm giving away nothing and everything all the same time with this review. Overall, I can't recommend this one highly enough. It fires on all cylinders and is worth the time and enjoyment of reading.

PROLOGUE
Tabitha, age 18
The chilly air nips my skin, bared by my tank top. An hour into my hike, I’ve already shed my jacket—I’m a strange combination of cold and sweaty. Weird, but it feels good.

There’s snow on the peaks towering ahead of me. It’s spring here, but snow still lingers in the long shadows of the thickly clustered pines.

This early in the morning, my breath puffs as I trek across a frozen field where a few yellow wildflowers poke their heads up over the matted grass. I’m the only tourist crazy enough to be hiking so early in the season. I haven’t seen anyone on the trail. The mountains of northern Italy are technically the Alps, but the locals call them I Dolomiti. The hike I chose isn’t as challenging as the ones that would carry me up the tallest peak, but my thighs burn from the steady incline. It’s still better than swaying down a catwalk in five-inch heels and a weird poofy dress that left most of my back and butt uncovered. When I was a model, I’d do anything for fashion but no longer. This model has officially quit the circuit.

“I don't understand,” my mother wailed when I called to tell her. “You were doing so well. You were making such great contacts.” In mom-speak, that meant I was meeting men. Rich men who’d love to have a model on their arm. The sort of man my mom hoped would sweep me off my feet and give me a diamond ring and marriage proposal or at least a diamond watch and an extended stay in his private penthouse. Maybe even a car and a few trips to the Riviera or Seychelles.

The type of man my mother always chased after.

I didn’t tell her that it was my date with exactly that kind of man that broke me. I was at another boring after-party on the arm of a short stock broker named Paul. Perfectly nice guy, but just because I'm a model and his head barely clears my shoulder doesn't mean that he has the right to put his hand on my ass.

I’ve stomped across the meadow and up the trail that’s disappearing between the blue-gray pines before I realize I’m muttering under my breath. A bird trills on an evergreen branch above my head, and my rage disappears.

I take a moment to clear my lungs. The air is fresh and better than any expensive cologne. The water flowing from a mountain stream is pure snowmelt and probably tastes like heaven. Tiny purple flowers peek up from the cracks in the gray rocks, and the bird above my head warbles like his sex life depends on it.

I’m far from the fashion circuit in Milan. No more crowded events that overwhelm my senses. No more clashing auras or toxic energies leaving me with a headache, desperate to get away. No more handsy businessmen who treat me like a cigar–a possession, an indulgence, a prop.

No more sharing an apartment with six other half-starved young people whose daily food intake adds up to barely half a sandwich. The first thing I did after I told my agent I quit was eat a giant bowl of cheesy pasta.

Right now, my backpack is full of the best provisions: good cheese, a local red wine, and several packs of biscotti.

I may have disappointed my mother, but I feel better than I have in a year. Like a weight lifted off my chest.

It’s been almost three months since I quit and started wandering like a vagabond. I spent a little of my fashion week earnings on a pair of hiking boots and a backpack. The rest of my nest egg has gone to reserving the little mountain huts called rifugios and a nice rental near Lake Como where I stayed while waiting for the snow to melt.

The plan is to hike Alta Via 1 and beyond. Spend the summer in the mountains. And after that, who knows? I’m eighteen, and I can do anything. This spring is the start of my new life.

Fifteen minutes of climbing, and my thighs are shaking, but it’s all worth it when I round the corner and come across a magical mountain lake. The water is a brilliant teal, an ethereal color as bright and shocking as a Lilly Pullitzer jumper.

I can’t resist going to the edge and dipping my hand in, but instead of bracing cold, the water is warm as a freshly drawn bath. In the middle of the lake, steam’s rising off the surface.

Is this a hot spring? If so, my guidebook didn’t mention it.

I drop my jacket and my pack. Facing the clear pool, I feel extra grimy. I’m so tempted to strip everything off and jump in.

But I'm not alone.

There's a man in the pool. His dark head is even with a rocky outcropping, which is why I didn't see him before.

Once I see him, I can’t look away. He’s not swimming, but walking in the shallows. Water streams off his sculpted shoulders, lapping lovingly at his massive pectoral muscles.

A few more steps towards the shore, and water flows away from his diamond-hard abs, cut and sculpted with the precision of a shower, not a grower. Except actually... He is a grower. Because the longer I stare at his cock, the bigger it gets. “Holy hell,” I mutter. This wild man in the wilderness with a beard like John the Baptist is making me hotter and wetter between my legs than I've ever been. Maybe I’m just in a dry spell.

Devil’s Temptation (Silver City Celestials Book 1)
by Trish Heinrich
August 24th 2021
Genres: Adult, Paranormal, Romance
I’m just a human, standing in front of the devil…
…trying not to succumb to my darkest desires.

The truth is, all a girl really needs is chocolate and a lifetime supply of AA batteries.

Well, that and revenge on the ex that destroyed my career as an investigative journalist.

Which is why the devilishly handsome dark angel that saved my life is nothing more than a means to an end. Getting close to him will resurrect my career.

But when he looks at me like I’m his greatest desire, I can’t resist the temptation of knowing what forbidden fruit like him would taste like.

After all, I’ve learned my lesson. This time it’s just pleasure, no attachment.

Because men like him were made to break hearts, and mine can’t afford anymore cracks.

Warning: This book has a wounded bad boy billionaire, a feisty heroine, steamy public displays of affection and a HOT HEA. If that’s your romance poison, then you may have to stay up all night to finish Devil’s Temptation. (This is a full-length novel with a dual first person POV and a guaranteed HEA. Recommended for mature audiences.)

"Just let me go home and forget this whole night ever happened!"

"I don't want you to go," Nathan said.

"And why not? You want to ask me for another favor?"

"No, I--"

"Because right now the only thing I want is--"

"I want you to stay, Tessa! And not because I want a favor."

I swallowed because his voice wasn't angry or demanding. It was panicked, almost desperate as if he needed me to understand.

"Why then?" I asked, more calmly.

He closed the small distance between us, the heat of his body grazing over mine. Flecks of gold ignited in his eyes, sending my blood pounding through my veins.

"I want you, Tessa."

"Me?" I tried to keep some kind of distance in my voice, a kernel of disbelief. But it was hard when Nathan was looking like he wanted to devour me.

"I've wanted you from the first moment I laid eyes on you," he breathed. "I think of you all day and night. I imagine what it would be like to kiss you, taste you. I get lost in those thoughts and I never want to leave. Wanting you...it's consuming me."

He was running his hands up my arms while he spoke, his fingers trailing heat in their wake. I couldn't breathe hearing him talk like that, it was too much to hope that he felt so much for me.

"I..."

"Tell me you want me, too."

I'd never heard Nathan plead before, and I had a feeling I was one of the few.

My eyes skated over his face, fingers following the trail of my gaze. He closed his eyes, savoring my touch.

"I want you," I breathed. "Nathan--"

His lips captured mine in a kiss that seared my soul, spreading a fire under my skin that would devour me, and I didn't care. My hands found their way into his hair as his arms crushed my body to his. My tongue plundered his mouth, waking the sleeping hunger deep inside. I needed him so badly that my entire body ached for more of his hands, his mouth.

Just as I was about to hook my leg over his hip and climb him like a fucking tree, Nathan broke off the kiss and tugged me toward the private elevator waiting for us.

As soon as we were inside, he backed me against the wall, hand fisting in my hair and mouth slamming onto mine. I tugged on the ends of his shirt and shoved my hands underneath. My fingers ran greedily over the hard planes of his stomach and chest. He felt so damn good, better than I had imagined, and now I wanted to know what that hard chest would feel like on top of me, pressing me into his mattress as he fucked me.

Nathan's lips bit their way down my throat and I let loose a moan.

"I've never done this in an elevator before," I breathed.

The grin he delivered shot heat straight to my groin.

"Next time I'll bend you over and take you right here, but this time, I want you on my bed."

"You have imagined this, haven't you?"

"Oh Tessa, you have no idea."

PNR Author Donnette Smith's characters fight it out in Judge Baart's Character's Court! + giveaway

“Why are we here?” Cole Rainwater demanded from the defendant’s table.

Judge Baaart struck the hammer on the gavel. His eyes zeroed in on Cole as if he’d love nothing more than to have him tarred and feathered. “There will be order in my court, Detective Rainwater. Do you understand that?”

By all means. Far be it from him to throw a wrench in the wheels of justice. Besides, the sooner they got this charade over with, the quicker he could get back to work.

The judge cleared his throat and motioned toward Cole. “You may approach the witness stand."

Cole’s attention cut a trail across the courtroom toward Barbara Cassidy’s smug countenance. She sat there comfortably behind the plaintiff’s table as if she owned the place. As he passed by her, he couldn’t help but imagine a nuclear bomb dropping straight on her head. He didn’t even care that he’d get blown away in the process. His fiancée’s best friend had been a thorn in his ass since high school.

After taking a seat in the witness box and being sworn in, Barbara approached to cross-examine him. “Did you or did you not tell the nurse to give me a sedative to knock me out the day Jenna was rescued?” She had the nerve to strut around the empty courtroom like Perry Mason.

“As much as I appreciated your help, you’d have had no business following me around on an active police investigation. Besides, you were out of control. You were throwing things at the hospital staff, remember?”

“That’s irrelevant,” she insisted. “You wanted them to render me unconscious out of spite. The fact I’m in Jenna’s life drives you crazy, doesn’t it?”

“That’s bullshit!” As the judge issued a warning to hold him in contempt of court for his outburst, the muscles in Cole’s neck tightened in anger. “You couldn’t have helped if you’d wanted to. You had just woken up from a coma. The hospital would have never released you.”

“They wouldn’t have had a choice if you hadn’t insisted they give me that needle to put me under.”

“Just answer the question, Detective,” Baaart instructed, appearing as if he’d rather round up monkeys running loose in the streets than to preside over this case with these idiots.

“Fine. I told them if they didn’t give her that sedative, they’d regret it. She’s impossible, your honor. Spend one week with her and you’ll want to slit your wrists.” he said, eyes boring into her.

“So, you admit it?” Barbara said, grinning smugly. “Great, then I rest my case.”

Cole threw up his hands to the judge. “You’ve got to be kidding. Why don’t you ask psycho lady here, what this is really about?”

Barbara frowned and shook her head. “He’s just jealous because Jenna and I are still best friends, and he wants her all to himself.”

For the first time, the judge’s expression opened with interest, and he swiveled toward Cole and said, “I take it you’re intimately involved with this Jenna I keep hearing about?”

“We’re engaged to be married, your honor. And apparently, Ms. Cassidy is insanely jealous of our relationship.”

An audible gasp belted from Barbara. “You’re crazy. I had no problem with her dating you back in high school.”

Cole snorted. “As if it would have mattered if you did. You don’t own us.”

“You see what I’m dealing with, your honor?” Barbara told the judge, exasperated. “He has no consideration for anyone who happens to be a close friend of Jenna’s. All I want is to be a part of her life, and a godmother to her daughter like we’ve planned since the 6th grade.”

Cole was floored. The woman obviously hadn’t gotten the memo they were no longer in middle school. “Emily is my daughter too, nitwit.”

“I think I see the problem here,” Baaart interrupted before Barbara could respond. His attention slid from one to the other. “Detective, I’m ordering you to be more considerate of Barbara and Jenna’s friendship. Are you willing to include her in your plans with your fiancée and your daughter from time to time?”

Cole frowned, his attention floating toward the Heavens. “It won’t be easy, but I imagine I can live with that if I have to.”

“And you, young lady,” he said turning to Barbara. “I’m ordering you to back off a little. Give Mr. Rainwater, his daughter, and his soon-to-be wife some family time together.”

Barbara reluctantly nodded. “All right, fine.”

The judge checked his watch. “This case is closed. Now get out of my courtroom and don’t ever come back…not even if one of you kills the other. I don’t want to know about it. You hear?”

When your sixth sense speaks, believe it.

As a clairvoyant, Jenna Langley has foreseen her fair share of murder. But the night she is haunted by visions of a woman buried alive in a makeshift casket, nothing prepares her for the chilling reality that the victim she saw in her vision is herself.

Having survived a recent tragedy, and now tasked with the duty of planning her wedding, everyone attributes Jenna’s disturbing dreams to stress. Even her fiancé does his best to convince her she is perfectly safe.

But someone wants revenge and Jenna is the target of that obsession. Her only hope for survival is if her fiancé, Detective Cole Rainwater, can root out who wants her dead before time runs out.

Excerpt:
At the same time a sharp intake of breath filled her lungs, Jenna’s eyes snapped open. Blackness surrounded her; panic set in instantly as soft whimpers set off a series of echoes. It took a moment for it to sink in the sounds were her own.

Raising both hands, her palms struck a hard object not a foot above her head. She slid her palms over a rough surface, searching, feeling across the top and down the sides of what felt like a wooden crate.

That embodied her like a tomb.

She let go a shriek, crying out in agony, “No! no! please, no!” There was no doubt she was in the very place that stoked the deepest fear in her heart. Just the way her vision forewarned. She was buried alive.

Celia’s Comic Review: The Me You Love in the Dark – A Haunting Awaits You…

The Me You Love In The Dark #1 (of 5)
Aug 4, 2021
Creators: Skottie Young, Jorge Corona
Diamond ID: JUN210046
Image Comics
Genre: paranormal romance, ghosts
Age Rating: M
31 pages
Writer SKOTTIE YOUNG (I HATE FAIRYLAND, Deadpool, Strange Academy) and artist JORGE CORONA (NO. 1 WITH A BULLET, Super Sons, Feathers) follow up their critically acclaimed series MIDDLEWEST with a brand-new haunting tale. An artist named Ro retreats from the grind of the city to an old house in a small town to find solace and inspiration without realizing the muse within is not what she expected. Fans of Stephen King and Neil Gaiman will enjoy this beautiful, dark, and disturbing story of discovery, love, and terror.

I like a good ghost story, and this first issue of “The Me You Love in the Dark” sets me up to look forward to precisely that from the entire series. The opening hook is a classic thriller set-up: struggling artist Ro Meadows rents a haunted house, of course. Poor Ro doesn’t really believe in ghosts, but hey, if it exists, maybe it will help with her creative block. Or, maybe not…

The story provides us with some standard (and fun!) beats we expect from the genre, and the art totally dishes up a spooky atmosphere. There’s also a clever use of silence and sound that ramps up the thrill of this haunting tale (no spoilers; you’ll see what I mean when you read it).

All in all, an enjoyable ghost story. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

FRIENDS TO LOVERS (Her POV)
“Justin.” Suddenly swallowed whole by her emotions, she bit her bottom lip. “What would have happened to us if you had asked me to dance that night?”

“Instead of Valerian?”

“Yes,” she rasped, her voice tainted with mixed feelings.

“I don’t know.” His gaze remained impenetrable.

She knew they bonded but she couldn’t read him. A rush of complex impressions invaded her heart. Had she wished for him to declare some undeniable love for her?

He hadn’t.

And right there, for some crazy reason— stranded in this house, with a possible assassin after her—she wanted him to say that he had feelings for her.

Wanted him to fall in love with her.

She found herself with no choice. She would have to make it happen. She knew she had to focus on her redemption, but this—Justin and her— it had to be. In fact, it already was.

She just had to show him.

HER SOULMATE IS IN DANGER.

When Arkimedes is kidnapped by The Dark Ones, Nava Forrest is forced to make a bargain with the devil. But when Nava comes face-to-face with her beloved, he has no memory of her, their soul bond or the past eleven years of his life.

Under the cover of a fake engagement, Nava must hide her soulmate bond, navigate the Copper Kingdom’s deadly court, and field off demon attacks in the nearby forest. All whilst attempting to trigger her soulmate’s memories and convince him to flee. But this new version of Arkimedes is cold, ruthless, and determined to solve the mystery of why he was abandoned as a child.

Yet the soulmate bond won’t be denied. Nava and Ark are drawn to each other, and her delicate web of secrets is threatening to unravel…

She wrapped her hands tightly around the terrace’s balusters. “Well, for someone who just claimed I wasn’t a prisoner when your guard almost killed me, you sure treat me like one.”

Arkimedes hovered closer and his body brushed hers, his energy a mist of cool air against her heated skin. “Don’t fool yourself. I did that because you are to be Devon’s bride.”

Nava raised a brow, feeling the wave of dangerous fire churn between them. “In that case, can I at least move next to my fiancé? I sure would love to spend some time with him.”

Arkimedes held the railing so tightly his knuckles turned white. Nava was sure it would explode under the pressure of his power at any moment. “You are to stay here, where I can keep my eyes on you.”

“One would think you are jealous of your brother, sir.”

“Don’t flatter yourself.” His eyes dropped to her lips.

The swarming heat that took over her body left her breathless, and she pulled away. Being so close strengthened his emotions within her, and she didn’t need to feel his jealousy when he was so clearly trying to be an asshole. “Speaking of, when will I see Devon?”

A fake smile appeared on his handsome features. “Are you going to stay out of trouble if you do?”
“Is that what betrothed people do?” Her words came out harsher than she’d intended them.

His nostrils flared. “Good girls do."

"Who says I'm good?"

A wave of burning desire that was all him had her blood boiling. She gulped at his darkening gaze. "No, I supposed you mustn't be."

About the Author:
Abbey Fox has always loved storytelling. Ever since she was little, she used to create characters for fun, get immersed in their life stories, worlds and magic systems. This naturally progressed onto writing, her first story being a cringy teenage highschool Romance, which she wrote at the age of thirteen in a notebook that was half falling apart by the time she wrote ‘the end’.

As time has gone by she has dived into writing other genres, from YA Fantasy, to Mystery Romance, Sci-fi Apocalyptic YA and a plethora of short stories. Now she is focusing on her love for Adult Fiction, in the Fantasy Romance/ Paranormal Romance genres.

Her debut Novel, The Curse of the Crow is coming out later this year, a part one of an enthralling series set on a magical world where soulmates are real and kingdoms are corrupted by power.

When Abbey is not writing, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her four year old son, tending to her indoor tropical jungle and painting fun characters with watercolors.
