Bonnie Paulson (A Date to Die For Series) How to Stalk Your Future Spouse and Get Away With It…+ giveaway

How to Stalk Your Future Spouse and Get Away With It…

These are simple steps to scoring you the significant other you’ve been stalking longing for, for so long.

Want proof that these tips work? Many professionals employ these tactics – i.e. Edward from Twilight, Snape from Harry Potter (he wasn’t so successful, but he gave it a good go!), Stefan from The Vampire Diaries (the original four books), R in Warm Bodies.

Ready? Here we go!

1. Follow your intended – everywhere! Even the bathroom, if you can manage it – it’s not creepy, it’s intimate, I promise.

2. Call them at all hours – from an anonymous number and, because you’re too nervous, just breathe heavy. This will send delicious chills down their spine.

3. Send dead flowers, dead animals, dead… cloth? Pretty much anything dead. It means you will love them ‘til they die. Right?

4. If you did get up the nerve to speak to them, talk to them about all the things you picked out of their garbage and kept. Hell! Show them the pictures in your wallet – especially the ones you took of them while they were sleeping – they’ll love it!

5. Mark your territory. WAIT! Don’t pee on them. Everyone has their limits. But, if, while you’re following them, someone smiles at them or talks to them, threaten that person after the intended moves on. Be careful, though, you don’t want to take too long and fall behind.

These are obviously things you don’t want to do. If you do want to do them, please seek help. Nothing on that list is okay to do – especially sending dead animals… don’t hurt things or people!

Be careful out there! The crazies far outnumber the sane.

Stay alive, my friends, and EWE’ll do well.

Thank you for having me, Ms. Sheep. This was a blast.

Please comment below with any tips I missed. And don’t forget the Rafflecopter for a chance to win the Stalker Survival Kit.

And please, please, leave reviews for books you’ve read. They mean more to authors than you know.

Sheep Book Review: Blood Assassin by Alexandra Ivy

Blood Assassin (The Sentinels Series Book 2)
By: Alexandra Ivy
Paranormal Romance
Pages: 433

Plot:
They are the outcasts of humanity. Blessed with power. Cursed by fate. Driven by passion. The Sentinels have returned. . .
Out Of The Shadows
At six-foot-three and two-hundred-fifty pounds, Fane is a natural born guardian. A flawless mix of muscled perfection and steely precision, he has devoted years of his life to protecting a beautiful necromancer. But after she found love in the arms of another, Fane has been a warrior adrift. He swears allegiance only to the Sentinels. And no woman will ever rule his heart again. . .
Into The Fire
Not only a powerful psychic, Serra is that rare telepath who can connect to minds through objects. When the daughter of a high-blood businessman is kidnapped, Serra agrees to help. But when she stumbles onto a conspiracy involving secrets sects and ancient relics, her life is in mortal danger--and Fane is her only hope. Is the warrior willing to risk his body, his soul, and his heart, for Serra? Or will one last betrayal destroy them both?

I've enjoyed Ivy's writing style over the years. She knows how to serve up sexy alpha men like the pro she is. After reading the plot description above, I was a little disappointed with the details. I get the short info is meant to draw the reader in BUT it's not really all that accurate. Serra never found love with another, the whole point of the story is how she has ALWAYS pined after Fane. To the point of obsession.

Fane is also not her "only hope". Fane feels obligated to help Serra cause he's a stand up dude. But yes, they do eventually get a HEA though it takes a while to get there. The fire between Fane and Serra is there for sure, what's lacking is the believability. It was hard to believe that Serra would have ended up getting forced to track down a missing child. It was hard to believe that when it's all said and done, the people behind the attack seem like amateur hack jobs.

For immortal folks who are supposed to have some major magic and abilities, I found it really frustrating that they couldn't handle this a lot quicker. I would have really enjoyed a more devious plot, with sinister twists and layers of deception. Instead, it was a little too transparent for my tastes.

Seems like a harsh review thus far and for that I am sorry. Being honest can come across that way sometimes, but I genuinely look forward to reading Ivy's books. I'm not going to hold this one against her in any fashion. I'm not even going to mind the redundancy of words and phrases she uses over and over again. I can even overlook the choppy bits, because the heart and writing of the story is entertaining!

I'm eagerly awaiting the next book in this series and I absolutely encourage all my PNR lovers to give this one a read!

Character Post: Top Ten Facts About Me…Jo Hannigan + giveaway

Before I get started I just want to take a minute to thank Sharon from I Smell Sheep for having me on today. I also want to thank my author, Danielle Young for giving me an opportunity to share a little more about myself. Although, I’m starting to regret agreeing to this, there really isn’t anything to me. I’m plain, well I was. No, I am. I don’t even know anymore. Whatever. I’ll share some things about myself and let you decide.

Top Ten Facts About Me… Jo Hannigan

1. I love to draw. I am never far from my sketchbook. Well, I was never far from it, this whole fighting for my life thing has really put a damper on my free time.

2. I always wanted to have magic, but now that I actually do I’m not sure I want it anymore. Maybe once my life slows down, if my life slows down I will appreciate it more.

3. I hate country music. There I said it. I love all music, but country just makes me blah. Sorry.

4. I have no life. Really. Well, I guess I do now. That is if you count magic training.

5. My best friends are shape shifters. Awesome right? That’s exactly what I thought when I found out.

6. My favorite show is Once Upon a Time. Yes I believe in Fairy Tales.

7. My idea of the perfect night is staying home in my pj’s, eating popcorn and vegging out to a movie with my dad. (Lame I know.)

8. I love the snow. Everything is just so peaceful. Magical.

9. If I die, Hannigan family magic dies with me. I will be the end of one of the most powerful magical bloodlines the world has ever known.

10. I drive a 1967 Sting Ray Corvette. My dad and I are fixing it up. Right now it is a multi-colored piece of junk, but when we finish. Man it is going to be awesome! My dream machine.

And there you have it. A few things about me. Man I really need a life.

Thanks again Sharon!

Sheep Movie Review: NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: SECRET OF THE TOMB

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: SECRET OF THE TOMB (2014)
Directed By: Shawn Levy
Rated: PG
Cast: Ben Stiller, Robin Williams, Owen Wilson, Dan Stevens (IV), Steve Coogan, Rebel Wilson, Crystal the Monkey,
Plot:
Get ready for the wildest and most adventure-filled Night At the Museum ever as Larry (Ben Stiller) spans the globe, uniting favorite and new characters while embarking on an epic quest to save the magic before it is gone forever.

If you've seen any of the previous Night at the Museum films, you know what you'll get. It's pretty straight forward and yet again plays up to the comedy, while adding some shots of history here and there. It's fun for kids and adults will get some laughs too.

Ben Stiller heads back to his role of night guard at the NYC museum. Directing the various characters to entertain during a fundraiser dinner. But everything goes to poo-poo ka-ka, as the magic tablet that brings them to life is starting to slowly erode away. So off the gang goes to the UK, hell bent on saving the museum folks and finding a cure to stop the dust from settling on the displays...forever!
Enter, Rebel Wilson! She's the funny night guard at the UK museum and this gal knows how to hit a comedy beat. Her timing is incredible and I can't wait to see how her career continues to develop in the coming years.

I'm happy to once again see the stars coming back to make this franchise work. The film overall is pretty middle of the road, but the actors and guest cameos really help keep a smile on your face. I loved Sir Lancelot, played by the one and only Matthew from Downton Abbey on PBS! Maybe he has a real name, pfft, but I know him as Matthew! Love that guy.
A sad farewell to Robin Williams, everyone in the auditorium stood up and clapped at the the end of the film.

If you like slap-stick humor, campy fun and history, then you will enjoy this all ages tale of magic and wonder!

Excerpt -

The darkness blurred and shimmered, bringing to life a man of moonlight and darkness: Aryne.

Before him Aryne could see her, lying in bed, tears of loneliness staining her pillow. She made his heart ache. He softly stepped to her side. His hand touched her face and gently pushed back her hair. He leaned over and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead, turning her dreams from sadness to joy. Her body arched toward his touch as the skim of his hand, the heat of his skin traced the edges of her curves. He stepped back…and then within the shimmer of dreams disappeared.

Night after night her loneliness cried to him. Unable to resist, he came to her. Subtly he inserted himself into her dreams, into her arms. Aryne knew it was wrong. As a guide, his job was to bring sweet, peaceful dreams. But no one affected him like she had. He was unable to resist comforting her, drawing her into his arms, covering her body with his…but only in her dreams. There Aryne stole the passion from her lips, igniting an ache in his body that would not go away.

Touching her shattered him. He knew instinctively that her touch would be his downfall. Her touch could keep him here in this splinter of his world, isolated as all of the Outcasts were. Generations had gone by; those exiled had died long ago, their children mixing amongst the races of the universe.

He had tried to stay away, fearing this. He was adrift, swept away, drowning in her passion, breaths away from losing himself. Giving in, acknowledging the power she unknowingly had over him would condemn him, keep him here if she was unable to travel to his world. Very few could navigate between worlds. And this world would drain his power rather than enhance it. Even the short time he spent there took its toll on him, the drain only in abeyance when he was in her arms. Try as he might, he could not resist her siren call. Only by controlling her and the passion between them could he make sure that he would not become lost. Lost in her. Trapped forever in her world.

He had done his best, gentling her to his hand, to his control. She knew the unspoken rules, knew the consequences. He played them out in her dreams, a dark symphony of passion and restraint. Perhaps unforgivable for a guide, but he could not resist. And just her body was no longer enough. Eventually he would capture her heart and soul.

A man of shadows, it would be during the midnight hours of her slumber

Spotlight: Breaking the Nexus by Lindsay Avalon

A homicide detective out of his element…

Demons? Magic? Strange realms filled with mythical creatures? Connor Flynn had no doubt these things existed…in the pages of fictional books. As a homicide detective, he knew evil, witnessed it every day on the job. Even when a series of ritualistic murders begin appearing, he looks to the evidence, not the supernatural. Until the day he found a mysterious woman sitting right in the middle of his latest crime scene. While he searches for a rational explanation, all signs indicate she materialized out of thin air.

A woman in a foreign land…

Locked in battle with a fierce hellbeast one minute, then lying in a pool of blood the next, Sha Phoenix has no idea what happened. A Sorceri within the Mythrian Realm, magic is a way of life, as she manipulates the elements of fire and water. She understands banshees, blood mages, and dragons, not waking to find a sexy detective accusing her of murder. Trapped in the Human Realm, she can be sure of only one thing: the barrier that separates her world from Connor’s is weakening by the minute.

A world on the brink of destruction…

Thrown together by fate, Sha and Connor must find a way to put a stop to a killer, bent on destroying the world as they know it.

The Nexus is breaking, and all hell is about to unleash…literally.

No one is safe and the only person Achaius can trust is Saia Makan, a Tempestuous Sorceri and the very person who has driven him crazy for years. When the killer sets its sight on Saia, Achaius faces the fight of his life.

But will he survive?

Return to the Mythrian Realm in this continuation of Sha and Connor's story!

Waking the Phoenix
As two Realms collide, the world descends into chaos.

From the moment Sha Phoenix dropped into the middle of Detective Connor Flynn’s murder scene, he had known his life would never be the same. Following her claim to be a Sorceri from the Mythrian Realm, he had received a crash course in the impossible as they had struggled to stop a madman. Unfortunately, despite their efforts to stop the Nexus, a magical barrier separating the Mythrian and Human Realms, fractured. Magic and myth are spilling over into the Human Realm, plunging everything into turmoil.

Is their love strong enough to survive the flames of the phoenix?

When Sha vanished through a portal in the middle of battle, Connor did not hesitate to follow the woman he had claimed as his. Now in the Mythrian Realm, they join forces with the Sentinels, the guardians of the Realms, to protect the world they love. Will they be able to contain the evil taking control? Or will they perish in the flames of war?

Book Review: Revenant (Demonica Book 11) by Larissa Ione

Revenant (Demonica Book 11)
by Larissa Ione
Paranormal Romance
408 Pages
Plot:
HELL HATH NO FURY . . .

For five thousand years, Revenant believed he was alone in the world, a fallen angel beyond any redemption. Now he finds he has a twin brother who had all the light and love Revenant was denied. Caught in a tug of war between Heaven and Hell, he must weigh his thirst for revenge against his desire for a mysterious female named Blaspheme-a female whose very origins could deliver him into salvation . . . or destruction.

LIKE AN ANGEL SCORNED

Blaspheme has a deadly secret: she's the forbidden offspring of an angel and a fallen angel. Hunted by both heavenly and satanic forces, she has survived only by laying low and trusting no one. When Revenant claims he can save them both, how can she possibly believe him? But the powerful angel is persistence incarnate and for Blaspheme, there's no place she can hide in Heaven or Hell where he won't find her.

All good things must come to an end at some point. Try as we might, it's time to let go of this demon series and move on to the next world Larissa creates. How can I sum up this series, put into words the awesome and breathtaking masterpiece that one of the best PNR writers has developed? It's damn hard! I'll try but no matter what I say, it can never do this one justice.

From book numero uno of the Demonica series, Larissa Ione had me hooked. Addicted. Craved and strung-out (and that's not just my normal day) when I had to wait for the next installment. There are few writers who can balance a world as exciting and vibrant as this one. Even fewer who can keep a needy reader like myself coming back again and again. But that's the masterpiece of Demonica as a whole. Realistic, entertaining, dynamic and sexy characters that seem larger then life yet realistic at the same time.

Here we are at Revenant who is the twin brother to Reaver, separated at birth and both forced to live a life without the knowledge of the other. While Reaver got to hang out in the cushy Heavens, Rev is sent down to the bowls of Hell. Forced into immortal service for Satan himself. Tortured and beaten daily, there is a huge amount of violence in this story. But that's what you come to expect in this saga. I absolutely do NOT recommend reading this one as a stand alone. This series must be read from start to finish, and only in that order.

I was eager to see how his story would unfold. Who would be a match for this tormented male and would that gal be able to stand toe-to-toe with the second most powerful being. Surprised and happy are the two words that come to mind. Every bit of expectation I had was met, Blaspheme brought everything she had to the skull and bones table. Her Mother though was a real piece of work, but hey you certainly can't pick your family!

Overall, I am sad to see this one take that long walk down a short pier. Or whatever other analogy you can come up with. It's a bummer but I'm thankful the fantastic writing will continue in other sagas. Plus I can always go back and read these tales over and over.

vBlog from PNR author Killian McRae

We have author Killian McRae doing something a little different today! She recorded a vblog post for you about Archangel Ramiel's top Christmas songs. He is a character from Pure and Sinful (Pure Souls Book #1)

BOOK ONE: PURE & SINFUL
Hate the sin. Make love to the sinner.
Available* in paperback, audio or ebook via Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and the Apple iBookstore.

When it turns out your ex was actually a sexy demon sent by the devil to seduce you to evil, you’d think the next guy, no matter what he’s like, couldn’t be a worse decision. Enter Father Marc Angeletti, a smooth talking piece of forbidden fruit with onyx eyes and a razor wit, and Riona Dade may as well start packing her luggage for damnation now. But come Hell or… well, Hell, Marc, Riona, and demigod Dee Zitka have a mission: serve as a Pure Soul and vanquish Lucifer’s minion scum from the face of the Earth to protect humanity from evil.

Oh, and don’t get seduced into sin yourself, because a fallen Pure Soul is one of Lucifer’s biggest thrills. As long as Riona and Marc can keep things professional and north of the sheets, no problem, right?

Yeah, that worked out great in the Thornbirds, too…

BOOK TWO: ONCE YOU GO DEMONHeaven hath no fury like a demon reborn.
Available* in paperback or ebook via Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Proving that Big Boss is not without a sense of whimsy, Hell’s former all-star demon, Jerry Romani, finds himself a traded player in the classic war of good versus evil. Taking up residence in the human shell left behind by Marc Angeletti, Jerry seizes on the chance both to win a trip to the pearly gates and reclaim the heart of Riona Dade. Meanwhile, following the butt-kicking the Pure Souls served up, Lucifer enlists his fallen angel compatriots, the Grigori, to stir up trouble topside. Time ticks closer to the inevitable: Marc’s resurrection as a demon on Earth, and Jerry is determined to protect Riona and his salvation at all costs. He quickly finds two thousand years of living la vida demonica aren’t easily undone, however, and old habits are hard to break. When Jerry finds roles reversed, he must convince Riona that it’s in her best interest to do the same. Even if letting her give into temptation is more conducive to his efforts. And just as Project Woo a Witch starts bearing some forbidden fruit, Destiny delivers one hell of bitch slap. Jerry may have been sent back to Earth to do something Riona can’t, something that will ensure the only thing he’ll be kissing where she’s concerned is his ass goodbye.

BOOK THREE: WITH GOD INTENT
To err is human. To avenge, divine.
Available* in paperback or ebook via Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Dionysius Zitka: Pure Soul, Demigod, Widower.

The last time Dee saw his father, Carol’s corpse lay at Zeus’ feet. He prayed the phrase “you can never go home again” would prove true, but someone has to rescue Riona from the pantheon’s playhouse and his crazy Greek God family. At least this time the visit should be brief: just sponsor Jerry, find Riona, and get the hell out of Olympus. And as recent events have shown, everything in life goes exactly as planned, further proven by crossing paths with feisty quartergod Anwen Yates. When Dee discovers Anwen has a couple of demons bent on killing her on her tail, he knows as a Pure Soul he can’t leave her unprotected. The fact that he finds her frustrating, funny, and sexy as hell has nothing at all to do with his decision to bring her along. Nope.

Biding her time at Hades and Persephone’s house, Riona feels like a third wheel to the troubled marriage between the two former rulers of the Underworld, as well as an increasingly unwelcome guest among the nephilim. The cherry on the cake? Uninvited angels are subject to death in Olympus! Needing to get her heavenly hexing under control before her hybrid heritage is exposed, Hades helps her find an angelic mentor – from the bowels of Hell. And wouldn’t you know it that Azazel brings his newly-minted demon Marc Angeletti along for Riona’s target-practicing pleasure. Or maybe just her pleasure in general…

As the days tick by, the lines of right and wrong, purpose and persuasion, and sin and sanctity begin to blur for all involved. Rumors of a fallen archangel are flying, the Heaven-Hell Accords are being stretched thinner than a sheet of filo dough, and Zeus grows more cryptic by the day. Riona questions which side of the impending battle is in the right, and if Jerry is really “the one” when Marc is so enticing. Hades makes a Hail Mary pass to save his marriage, and Jerry fears that his may be over before it’s even begun. Meanwhile, the two pillars draw closer to Olympus, and Dee closer to facing down his father. But can he honor Carol’s memory while evermore wanting a life with Anwen? The road to Hell is paved with God intentions.

Book Four: The Devil You Know (2015)

About the Author:
