I give the premise of the movie 4 1/2 Sheep
Horror - 26 October 2014 (USA)
A vengeful high school senior, whose violent kidnapping of a fellow student, collides with her town's haunted house and its brutal past.
"The 11th Annual Another Hole in the Head Horror Film Festival continues through December 15th in San Francisco and is excited to present Juan Ortiz's JENNIFER HELP US as its closing night film. The film screens at New People Cinema (1756 Post Street) in San Francisco on Monday December 15 at 7 p.m. Ortiz and members of the cast and crew will be in attendance."
Whoa! This movie was not only creepy and had a twist I didn't see coming, the way it was made is just as interesting. It is billed as a slasher film, but it was shot with an iPhone 4S and then given a retro '70s/'80s look through a filter.

Even though it is a slasher film, the gruesome violence happened off camera, but you were well aware of what was happening. This enhanced the film's horror element, not that the silent, cow skull, yellow dress, rubber glove and boot wearing woman wasn't creepy enough. I thought I would be watching a cliche but it was far from it. The story took a turn I wasn't expecting.
The acting wasn't the best, and the camera lingered too long on some shots drawing out a yawn instead of the horror; this is nothing different editing couldn't fix. The story had more holes than I care to mention, but if you take into consideration how it was made and the premise, I am impressed.
This is worth seeing if you enjoyed the horror movies of the '70s and '80s.
3 Sheep overall
