The Damned
I made a bargain with a daemon when I was a child.
For the last twelve years, I never saw any reason to crave my freedom from Kingsley Manor and the dark, lost entities who inhabit the lonely estate. But then he came back for me—like he promised he would when we were children.
He doesn’t remember that I’ll die if I leave Kingsley Manor.
And they’ll kill him if he stays.
The Dreamer
I was told to burn Kingsley Manor to the ground.
They want me to get rid of the melancholy girl occupying the estate and hosting strange guests who scream in their sleep, but I can’t. Not when something inexplicably draws me to her—when I watch her and I can’t look away.
She thinks her ghosts and daemons will scare me, but she’s wrong.
I possess her now.
