"The Devil's Waltz was just what I needed!" - New York Times bestselling author, Wendy Higgins.

Discover what happens when a young woman from a family of demon hunters falls in love with the prince of hell in this spicy paranormal romance.

It's been five years since her sister was killed by a demon and Camille Morgan swore off the family business of demon hunting. Now a college sophomore, Cami is determined to get her degree and move far away from Seattle—and all things paranormal.

But when Cami becomes the target of a demon attack she’s convinced is a ploy by her parents to drag her back into training, the wildly charming and attractive Xander Kane comes to her rescue. Except her savior isn't a hunter. Or even human.

Xander is a demon, the alluring prince of hell, whose magnetic presence leaves Cami both captivated and conflicted, especially when she finds out he plans on using her to destroy the demon hunters once and for all.

Caught between her growing affection for Xander and her loyalty to her family, Cami struggles to make a decision that could shatter her and endanger the lives of those she loves.

The Devil's Waltz by author Jessi Elliott is the first installment in a new series titled Pretty Much After My Life. I kid, sort of. My strange life aside, this story starts the beginning of what I hope will be a very entertaining and long-lasting saga.

What a fun world this author created, filled with so many interesting and spicy characters. I loved all the foundation that was laid down. Hopefully, this will grow and blossom into a deeper and richer layer as the story-building continues.

At almost 500 pages, this is very long investment into your time. There are a ton of payoffs though. Lots of very romantic interludes between our leading couple. I suggest reading this one in phases to really absorb the full effect.

Just a few little misspellings that needed to be cleaned up a tad. Some areas of our new world felt a little off or, at times, very far-fetched. Like, I get it. This is a totally made-up world of magical creatures and unrealistic, impossible real-life situations. However, I want to believe that they COULD be real. I want to live in this world and let it haunt my dreams. At times, it felt a little flat.

I'm also being supercritical and nit-picking at some things that most readers might not even pick up. But I do this with a sense that this series and this author have the potential to take this one into many more installments. So, I'm being extra right now because I would love to see just a few of these edges smoothed out.

That all said, I loved it. I loved just sitting and reading this one; dirty dishes in my sink be damned!
