Fast 5, vroom vroom baby meep meep!

Fast 5, directed by Justin Lin, stars Furious veterans Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang and adds Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to the roster. This latest installment proves the Fast and Furious franchise is still alive and kicking!

Storyline:
Former cop Brian O'Conner, now an outlaw himself, partners with ex-con Dom Toretto. Since Brian and Mia Toretto broke Dom out of custody, they've fled across continents to escape the long arm of the law. Backed into a corner in Rio de Janeiro, our heroes must pull one last job in order to gain their freedom. As they assemble their elite team of top racers, the unlikely allies know their only shot of getting out for good means confronting the corrupt businessman who wants them dead. But a pissed off CEO is not the only one on their tail. Hard-nosed federal agent Luke Hobbs is on the case, and he's a man that never misses his target. When Hobbs is assigned to track down Dom and Brian, he and his strike team launch an all-out assault to capture them. But as his men tear through Brazil, Hobbs learns he can't separate the good guys from the bad. Now, he must rely on his instincts to corner his prey... before someone else runs them down first.

A very enjoyable movie for those who just want to sit back and watch super fast so-not-realistic-racing, cheesy dialog and things blowing the heck up. BOOM! I've been to a few Side Shows (illegal street races) in my day, and NEVER has there been one like in these films. lol It is a man's dream come true: hot chicks falling out of bikinis and fast muscle cars. Heaven! But ladies never fear, YOU too will enjoy all the man candy oozing from the screen with this one. Bust out those spoons and scoop these hunks up! ;)

The film is a thrill ride mixed in with some pretty awful acting, the only thing saving it is the decent script and over the top car chases. It's really amazing stuff to watch on the big screen. I love The Rock but good lordy with lines like:

Some random dude "Sir. Do you want the good news or the bad news first?"
The Rock "The good. You know I like to eat my dessert before dinner."

You may only roll your eyes a few times, but go in knowing it's all for fun. Relax, enjoy that popcorn and Coke and hold on! Make sure to park your rump in that seat, after the trailers roll there's a hidden scene. ;)
