Her passion is her greatest weakness.

His legacy is his prison.

To reunite, both must fight the demons within.

A world of deception and danger separates Annie Freemont from her mother—and from Chase, the enigmatic half-ifrit with whom Annie’s fallen in love. But she vows to find her way back to them, before Chase succumbs to the madness that threatens his freedom. The only person who can help is the magical seductress, Lotli, a beautiful, manipulative woman . . . a woman who has disappeared.

Annie must stay strong, even as the future she imagined is slipping away. With the help of family and friends, she discovers that Lotli is being held against her will, by those who want to exploit her powers. But though weakened, Lotli remains a powerful alley and adversary. A bargain is struck. And now Annie’s only chance to rescue Chase could also tear them apart . .

Loyalties will be tested, walls will be breached, and enemies will be fought, yet Annie’s greatest battle lies within her own heart—to trust her love for Chase to overcome its greatest enemy, and to save those she holds most dear from the terrifying realm of the djinn . . .

Ok, is it me or does the cover model kinda-sorta look like the actor Luke Evans? Maybe I'm just hallucinating after watching Beauty and the Beast last night. LSD dream-trips aside, this was the third installment to a series I didn't know a damn thing about. I have no idea what caused me to say yes to this one. I just know that, this story was a really great read!

I didn't feel left out of the series overall one single bit. Kudos to an author who can make you feel right at home on the first night. Our latest installment jumps right in and takes the reader on one hell of a ride. Loved every page of this PNR. It's totally unique and almost thirst quenching take on an over saturated market was soooooo refreshing. But don't worry, I still love me some vampires.

Wow, how did I NOT know about this author before now?

Crazy and mind trips abound and I loved every moment of it. Chase is on the edge of cray and his struggle was sad, endearing and a tad funny at times. (But hey, I have a dark sense of humor!) You go on a journey with this one, our author takes you back and forth and makes you beg for more.
The dual power of this pair was off the charts, they can heat up any page and did well to carry the story along it's journey. What a fun and pleasant find, I can't wait to see where this author takes me next!

  1. I'm glad you enjoyed :) What's up next? I just sold a new series to Kensington's Lyrical line--the Northern Circle Coven series. It'll be out starting next September. (I love me some vampires too :) )
