Sheep Movie Review: Spies in Disguise (2019)

Spies in Disguise (2019)
Dec 25, 2019
Directed By: Troy Quane, Nick Bruno
Written By: Brad Copeland, Lloyd Taylor, Cindy Davis
Cast: Will Smith, Tom Holland (II), Rashida Jones, Ben Mendelsohn, Reba McEntire, Rachel Brosnahan
Rating: PG (for action, violence, and rude humor)
Genre: Action & Adventure, Animation, Comedy, Kids & Family
Runtime: 101 minutes
Studio: 20th Century Fox
Super spy Lance Sterling (Will Smith) and scientist Walter Beckett (Tom Holland) are almost exact opposites. Lance is smooth, suave and debonair. Walter is...not. But when events take an unexpected turn, this unlikely duo is forced to team up for the ultimate mission that will require an almost impossible disguise - transforming Lance into the brave, fierce, majestic...pigeon. Walter and Lance suddenly have to work as a team, or the whole world is in peril.

I went to see Spies in Disguise with my husband and 18-year-old daughter. We all laughed and giggled throughout the movie. It was a formulaic kid's animated film but the characters were fun (let's hear it for Jeff!) and the villain was super-villainous.
Definitely worth the big screen price if you enjoy this kind of movie.

Sheep Movie Review: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) Spoiler-free

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)
In Theaters: Dec 14, 2018
Cast: Shameik Moore, Jake Johnson (XVI), Hailee Steinfeld, Mahershala Ali, Brian Tyree Henry, Lily Tomlin
Rating: PG (for frenetic sequences of animated action violence, thematic elements, and mild language)
Genre: Action & Adventure, Animation, Kids & Family, Science Fiction & Fantasy
Runtime: 100 minutes
Studio: Sony Pictures

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the creative minds behind The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street, bring their unique talents to a fresh vision of a different Spider-Man Universe, with a groundbreaking visual style that's the first of its kind. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.

What a fun and heart-warming movie! I went to see Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse with my 17-year-old daughter and a friend of mine. All three of us loved it. I'll admit to crushing on dad-bod Peter Parker.

There was an intriguing story backed up with great writing. The well-placed humor broke up the darker moments but the overall tone is a positive coming-of-age story.

And let's give a big standing sheep-ovation to the animators. Wow. The mixing of animation styles could have been a visual nightmare but they pulled it off and enhanced the whole interdimensional theme.

This movie is one you want to see on the big screen.

Katie's Review:
Getting 5 crazy bunny sheep

Life of pets is a super fun family Summer time movie, sure to entertain all ages. Anyone who loves pets, loves movies and just loves to laugh you'll have to check this one out asap!

Filled with tons of comedy and touching moments, this sweet film had me from the first few minutes till the final credits. The writers really nailed all the animals personalities and made you fall in love.

Jeni's Review:
I give 5 guinea pigs

I was drawn to the bright colors and the scenery and the personalities of each animal that appeared in this delightful movie. You dont need a kid to go see this movie, its certainly funny and has enough adult humor for those who think youll have to drag a kid along to enjoy this.

As a pet owner, chloe and max reminded me of my cat and dog. Such a cute and funny movie- go enjoy it!
