ISBN: 978-1-62210-067-5
Pages: Approx 430 pages
Cover Artist: Lyn Taylor

On the run, branded a traitor by her government, Fay Avalon has to depend on three brothers for shelter. Sinful Surrender is Book 1 of Houston Havens’ new romance series, Psychic Ménage. Why be tempted by one man’s seduction when you can be loved by three? Top psychic spy Fay Avalon saw too much on her latest mind traveling mission and is now on the run from her post-catastrophic dystopian government, searching for the truth and proof. She escapes but is shot down, landing in the arms of the enemy.

In Drakker and Arlo’s world, women are so rare the men have accepted a polyandrous lifestyle. When the brothers stumble upon Fay unconscious in the wreckage of an aircraft, they are immediately attracted to her. Arlo wants to keep her, but Drakker knows they can’t. They must take her to their brother Logan Abán, leader of their people.

Logan struggles with trusting anyone, even himself. When a beautiful, intelligent, and intriguing woman falls into their laps, his denied desires for intimacy challenge his need to trust the spy. He’s frustrated by romantic Arlo’s claims of her innocence. Even when pragmatic and dominating Drakker defends her as well, Logan refuses to trust his gut.

Can one woman satisfy the diverse desires of three men? Will Logan’s fears be realized by betrayal? Is Fay to be sentenced to death as a spy, suffer a fate worse than death by being returned to her government as a traitor, or will she find a new life and love as the wife of three sexy brothers?

Fay Avalon is a type of psychic who can see things and do a sort of astral projection. Now on the run to find out the truth she is being hunted by her government and when her aircraft crash lands and she finds herself helped by three brothers.

Drakker, Arlo and Logan are three brothers who find themselves with a woman who stirs passion in each of them but they aren't sure they can keep her or trust her when they realize she's a Dirt Dweller spy.

Whew, this was a hot, sexy read. Cold shower reading material right here.

Fay is wary of her government because she finds out they have been lying about their past and sets out to find the truth about the airborne people. She can see things and thinks her government might not be the good guys she thought they were. She's been spying on the airborne people for her government and when her aircraft crashes she is at the mercy of the airborne people.

What follows is an adventure filled with passion, heartache and some of the hottest foursome sex I've ever read.

I found Fay's world to be very cold. Their rules about sex not being about pleasure and only about reproduction were very strange. Their people would perform exorcisms on people who got caught saying that they felt lust of desire and that made for a very innocent and pure society of people when it came to sex.

At first I thought that Arlo and Drakker were going to be the only brother's to really fall for Fay, but Logan soon showed his sexier side. This might be the first book I've read where there was a 4 way menage. Not that I'm complaining. Each one of them are sexy in their own way but get the four of them together and you are in for a very sensuous and sexy ride.

Logan is the leader of his people and the last of the brother's to really trust Fay. They know she's a Dirt Dweller, a spy and a mind traveler and all that spells trouble for them, especially when her people come looking for her.

The adventure that follows is action packed, keeping you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

If you like action, romance and cyborgs then this is the book for you.

I give this book 5 sheep!

Book Review: The Elemental Detective by Kristen Weiss Blog Tour + giveaway

THE ELEMENTAL DETECTIVE
Riga Hayworth, Book 5
Published by: Misterio Press
December 21, 2013
Genre: Adult, Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Mystery
BUY LINKS: Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Kobo

Mermaids, menehunes, and murder.

Riga Hayworth just wants to relax with her new husband on their Hawaiian honeymoon. But a body on a Kauai beach pulls them into a murder investigation, sending the supernatural world into an uproar.

When Riga detects traces of magic at a murder scene, she knows she can’t ignore the call. There’s necromancy afoot, and she must prepare for the battle to come. But can Riga fight the forces of nature? Or will they destroy her and everyone she loves?

Book five in the Riga Hayworth series of paranormal mystery novels, The Elemental Detective is a fun, fast-paced urban fantasy blending romance with the supernatural, and exploring the magic of Hawaii.

The Elemental Detective is the fifth installment in the Riga Hayworth series. Riga is a lovely woman who bears a striking resemblance to the famous actress from the 1940s. She is also a metaphysical detective who finds it her responsibility and calling to investigate crimes and/or unusual occurrences involving the supernatural and supernatural baddies. Over the prior four installments she has faced off with many different foes, as well as experienced changes in her own metaphysical/psychic powers and abilities.

This story opens with Riga and her new hunky hubby on their honeymoon in Hawaii. She wants nothing more than to kick back, relax, and forget all the craziness and mayhem they have gone through over the past months and enjoy her man and their time together. She is tired and wants nothing much to do with the world of other and the constant mantra seems to be this is supposed to be my honeymoon . . . Well it is definitely a truism that sometimes life just does not happen the way we want and this certainly can be said for Riga, who is definitely not pleased about the interruption once again in her life. Not only does her faithful friend gargoyle show up, but there are bodies found, black necromancy stirring the air, pooka appearances, and the call of new elemental magic seeking Riga drawing her in and coming on board. The more she resists, the greater the threat becomes and poof the mayhem box opens again.

The writing style continues to be clean and smooth with some wonderful world building with a peak at new mystical beings and culture. This was a very enjoyable read with continued character growth and while it was not my personal favorite in the series, it is definitely not an installment for fans of the series to miss. I would suggest starting at least with book one, The Metaphysical Detective, however, if you are new to the series as there is too much back-story that would be missed beginning with this book. I am very much looking forward to Riga's next adventure and have every intention of continuing on with the series and recommend to those who enjoy bit of mystery with some mystical mayhem and colorful characters thrown in the mix.

Book Review: Ghost Seer (Ghost Seer #1) by Robin D. Owens

Ghost Seer (Ghost Seer #1)
By: Robin D. Owens

There’s just something about Clare. Apart from the ghosts…...

When her eccentric aunt passes away, no-nonsense accountant Clare Cermac inherits more than just a small fortune. She receives the gift of communicating with ghosts. While Clare may not believe in spirits, it’s hard to overlook the shadowy talking dog appearing on her bed or spectral cowboys tipping their hats to her in the streets of Denver. And when she locks eyes with sexy—and living—Zach Slade, there’s certainly no ignoring him either.

A former deputy sheriff, Zach is leaving a painful past behind in Montana for a new life in Denver as a private investigator, a job that has him crossing paths with beautiful Clare. Not that she minds. After the restless ghost of a Wild West gunman demands her assistance, Clare finds herself needing Zach more and more—and not just for help.

Ghost Seer is a bright beginning to what I anticipate being a rollicking fun series. We are introduced to Clare who is a very practical young woman with no belief in ghosts or spirits, as well as to Zach who is a cynical former deputy sheriff who has been injured and is no longer able to work in the field. Both are dealing with sudden life changes that have resulted in no longer being able to continue to function in the familiar lives they have worked so hard to build for themselves.

Clare is now seeing spirits who expect her to help them pass on, which her logical accountant's mind is unwilling to accept and she fears she is going insane. Zach has become bitter over his injury, which prevents him from performing his chosen life's work. Oh and we mustn't forget our introduction to Enzo, who in case you are wondering is an absolutely marvelous ghost dog who slobbers ghostly slobber while following Clare around trying to get her to admit she sees the spirits and proceed with her destiny.

The world building is wonderful, the characters brilliantly colorful, and both are very well executed and a delight to read. Ghost Seer, while filled with excentric characters, action, and mystery is not a dark read, but rather a fun romp through the genre that leaves you feeling good on completion of the tale. The story is complete with a very satisfying ending, yet there is still hope for further adventures for this fun group of characters and I cannot wait to read what the author has in store for us next.

Ghost Seer is a little ray of sunshine that left this reader with a smile and a lesson that even when the circumstances and chosen paths are disrupted and broken, there is optimism in self-acceptance and one can adapt and move on to new adventures. Definitely a recommend read for those looking for a well written fun ghostly tale with likable characters and a fine adventure. I received this book via NetGalley.
