Book Review: So I Married a Werewolf by Kristin Miller

So I Married a Werewolf
by Kristin Miller
Release Date: July 28
Genre: Paranormal Category

Carter Griffin, enforcing officer for the Seattle Wolf Pack, has a problem. He’s been offered the promotion of his dreams…if he can find a wife to prove he’s over his playboy ways. But Carter’s already walked the matrimonial road and bought the stinkin’ T-shirt. Besides, a werewolf only gets one fated mate. Been there, done that.

All werewolf dog trainer Faith Hamilton wants to do is earn enough green stuff to put her younger brother through college. Okay, okay, so she also totally wants Carter, her sexy next-door neighbor, to look at her as more than a friend. It’s too bad size 12 and plain isn’t his type. At all.
The two friends strike a deal to help one another out. They must face a variety of challenges from a psycho ex-girlfriend to a Yorkie with a shoe fetish...and that pesky problem of only having one-fated mate in a lifetime. Will a relationship ruin their friendship…or spark a love neither anticipated

Carter Griffin is an enforcer for the Seattle Wolf Pack working towards a promotion. He has everything he needs to land the job, except a wife. Desperate to earn the position, and make his superiors happy, he turns to a friend of his for help.

Faith Hamilton and Carter have been friends for years. In truth, Faith would have loved to take the relationship beyond friendship, but Carter never showed any interest. Insecure with herself, Faith takes what Carter has to offer, friendship. When he comes to her, looking for a pretend wife, she’s not sure it’s a good idea, but finds she can’t turn down a friend in need.

Faith, may not be model skinny, or drop dead gorgeous, but she’s attractive and instantly likeable. She is convinced she will never be Carter’s type, but in truth she’s probably more his type than anyone else he’s dated. As things heat up during their fake marriage, Carter slowly starts to figure this out for himself. However, Carter is gun shy from an already failed marriage to his fated mate, making him unsure how to proceed. As he fights his attraction to Faith and an internal battle over past hurts, we find out that maybe he’s not as put together as Faith believes.

This novel is a heartfelt, completely enjoyable look at a relationship between friends that becomes something more. The characters are likable and real, and you truly just want them to find happiness. It turned out to be a fast paced read that leaves you feeling good when you are done.
