Halloween wouldn't be complete without a good haunting, or without some wayward spirit messing up my plans. My name is Lisa, and because I'm a grim reaper, I'll be spending All Hallows Eve trying to capture the ghost of a serial killer instead doing normal things like trick-or-treating with my kids, or drinking wine while I pass out candy.

Yep, that about sums up my life.

The only good things I have going for me tonight are the gigantic sack of Halloween candy stuffed in my purse, and the fact that Nate isn't too bad to look at. No doubt, the evening will be a night to remember...if I make it out alive.

Lisa is a grim reaper, but her plans for Halloween were to take her kids trick or treating and of course to gorge on candy. Constantine, however had a different plan for her and her partner, Nate. He wants them to go to a closed theatre and reap a serial killer, who only shows up once a year on Halloween. As Nate and Lisa start interviewing ghosts at the theatre it is clear that there is more to the story than what meets the eye.

Another fun and entertaining story by Brux. Her characters have so much humor that reading her stories always brings a smile to my face. Next up for Brux is a Grim Reality Spinoff called Hellbound In Vegas which is about Mara and Cam but I am hoping a the next book in this series which is due out next May will show case some romance between Lisa and Nate.

About the Author:
Boone is a bestselling author in both fantasy and series romance genres. She began writing in an attempt to ward off the slow decomposition of her mental state while taking care of her twin toddlers. It soon became clear that storytelling was her true calling.

Her books range from medieval fantasy, filled with demon's and hot heroes, to humorous paranormal and spicy contemporary romance. Though she loves writing romance, Boone much prefers stories where she gets to kill somebody or blow something up.

She lives in the beautiful and rugged state of Alaska with her husband, two kids, their dog Oreo, and her black cat Velma Underfoot. Not to mention the numerous wild creatures that lounge in her backyard.

  1. I really enjoy these little novellas...a small taste of my favorite characters in between books. This is a fun little story with a touch of mystery.
