Groom? Check.
Dress? Check.
Cake? Check.
More cake? Double Check.
Even more cake? Triple check.
(Seriously, who left Lethe alone with Grier's credit card?)

Anything that can go wrong has,but all the deposits have been paid, and the menus are set. Mostly. There's always room for more cake, right? All that's left is for Grier and Linus to exchange vows and set off on their honeymoon. Their happily ever after awaits, so close they can taste it.

No.

Wait.

That's probably just more cake. Frosting gets everywhere.

Anyway, there's also murder, arson, and general mayhem. This is what happens when two potentates marry. Just cross your fingers they survive exchanging vows, and that the knot they tie doesn't turn into a noose.

The time has finally come for Grier and Linus to wed. If Lethe doesn’t spend all of Grier’s money on taste-testing food for the reception, it should be exceptional. It is no small thing when two potentates marry. Everyone is doing whatever is needed to make sure the event goes off without a hitch but when does that ever matter?

Grier is worried that someone will ruin her wedding to Linus and when things start going bad, she is bound and determined to protect those closest to her and get married. The magic between Grier and Linus is spectacular and I could almost see the fireworks when reading this book. Lethe and her daughter Eva are two that have melted hearts near and far even with the violence that follows them. This book has just about everything you could want; romance, fun, food and of course a little violence to round it all out.

Hailey Edwards writes about questionable applications of otherwise perfectly good magic, the transformative power of love, the family you choose for yourself, and blowing stuff up. Not necessarily all at once. That could get messy. She lives in Alabama with her husband, their daughter, and a herd of dachshunds.
