When there is an assassination attempt on U.S. President Allan Trumbull (Morgan Freeman), his trusted confidant, Secret Service Agent Mike Banning (Gerard Butler), is wrongfully accused and taken into custody. Desperate to uncover the truth, Banning turns to unlikely allies to help clear his name, keep his family from harm and save the country from imminent danger.

Went to see Angel has Fallen with my husband and 18-year-0ld daughter. We are fans of the first two movies, Olympus has Fallen and London has Fallen. We enjoyed the action element of Angel has Fallen but from a story standpoint it is the weakest of the three films.

The main premise that everyone believes Mike Bannon actually did the dirty deed is stupid if you've seen the other movies. The whole thing is on big action movie troupe so there are no surprises. You'll know who the bad guy is in the opening scene because...wow, that's one of the biggest action hero movie cliches there is. I think the creators knew this so they countered the poor story with even bigger explosions and adding Mike Bannon's quirky dad to the mix. Which was a smart move. While I rolled my eyes at the plot, I was enjoying the hell out of the action scenes, which have been stellar throughout the series, and found the dad funny. Especially the after-credit scene.

If you enjoy the realistic special effects in the Mike Bannon movies then this is one worth a matinee price.

My husband gives it 4 1/2 sheep cause he doesn't care about plot.

London Has Fallen is like, and also not like, its predecessor. It is action filled and still packs that strong emotional punch that made Olympus Has Fallen a success. But our hero, Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) has changed. He is more super-assassin than Secret Service dude. And he has more bad-ass one liners which gave the movie a Die Hard feel.

It was cliche, especially the first 15 minutes which had my eyes rolling at the cheesiness, it was loud and bloody, but it was entertaining and that's what matters to me. London Has Fallen has more heart-stopping (Or as my 20 year old daughter said "Oh, S***") moments and savage dispatching of the bad guys. If you enjoyed the trailer, then you will enjoy the movie.

What a waste of money and time. I went to see it with my husband and 13 year old daughter. We were all disappointed especially with the ending. My daughter's first words were "That was stupid" and this if from a kid who loves SyFY originals <G>

Scarlett Johansson does some pretty good acting, but nothing can save the story. Good science fiction can make you believe...I didn't buy into any of it. There are some really cool scenes, but they dumbed down things too much, spoon feeding the audience information so we could understand what was going on. Then there were the cheesy graphics.

I would wait for the rental, but only if you pay $1 otherwise wait for it to premier next year on the SyFy channel.

Plot: 

"The LEGO Movie" is the first-ever, full-length theatrical LEGO adventure. The original 3D computer animated story follows Emmet (Chris Pratt) an ordinary, rules- following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared. 

It's always a blessing when kids and adults alike can enjoy a fun warm hearted flick. The Lego Movie delivers all the brick laying foundation of being one of the best kid comedies I've seen in a very long time. It's hilarious with non-stop laughs! Everything is awesome!

Aside from the laughs, kitten posters and fun variety of LEGO action figures, you have a story about being creative. Follow your own path and use your individual imagination to make something new and awesome. Cause everything is awesome!

This is truly a meaningful story at it's core and that journey takes a kids toy and turns it into a whole world of wonder. Sure, Toy Story did that too but this is Legos....and they are awesome! The ending was surprising to me, which only endears this tale even more. 

It's a witty, crazy, excitingly manic ride of CGI awesomeness, including a moody Batman and Liam Neeson having a split personality disorder, all wrapped up in a lesson on letting go and I loved every second of it! 

Try to get this song out of your head after watching the movie. I dare you!

Red directed by Robert Schwentke staring Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Mary-Louise Parker, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich, Karl (drop dead gorgeous) Urban and Richard Dreyfuss is in theaters across the nation now. A hard core Marvel gal myself, how could I resist this all-star cast. DC and Summit (yes, thats right. The guys who bring us Twilight!) came together and delivered a pretty decent flick. Was it the best movie this year? No. Was it fun? Sure. :)

Some pretty amusing dialog between characters went a long way in keeping audiences attention. Slow moving in parts was a major downfall. But when action kicks in, it kicks in the front door with a sonic boom! Suburban gunfight? Classic. :) Helen Mirren shooting semi-automatics? Fantastic. John Malkovich playing a wacky eccentric! lol You've seen him in this role before, but really he does it so well, who cares! There are a few important points in the film that are brushed over never explained. Others that held no value to the movie are given plenty of attention. A little frustrating for me.

Over all Red was just above average for me. Would I see it again? No. But I will recommend it to anyone who enjoys fun popcorn flicks.

For a tongue in cheek action movie, Red boasted an incredible star lineup. I must admit that I went into the film with very high expectations. Damn high.... and I left the theater feeling like I got exactly what I knew the movie would deliver.

Overall, I'd say that the movie has a similar feel to it as Men Who Stare At Goats. If you didn't like that movie, I'd suggest that you wait for the DVD. Like most other movies who split the divide of action and comedy, the plot is predictable to the point where you know exactly what will happen next, but you find yourself excited to see it manifest on the big screen anyway. Just how many bullet casings could they possibly scatter across the floor? let's find out! There are also a few scenes whose only purpose is to pay homage to other action movies... so if you have little or no patience for that kind of thing, you'll have to wait for your party near the exit; you're just not tall enough for this ride.

One aspect of the movie that I really enjoyed was, even though it didn't take itself too seriously, it never dipped into being utterly juvenile like in Tropic Thunder. To borrow a quote from the more juvenile movie, "You never go full retard." John Malkovich running down a group of CIA agents with a bomb strapped to his chest is right about where my comedic sweet spot lies.

I'm giving this movie four sheep.
