Thursday February 19 2015 - Sunday February 07 2016
Our day has come...time for all sheep to unite and be smelled! If you wish to accept this quest, we ask that you spread the smell to your family, friends, neighbors and intergalactic pen pals.
How, you ask? Based on the qualities of the Year of the Sheep (and yes, we cherry picked the ones we wanted <G>)
* the Sheep's creativity will be unleashed.
* beauty, art, romance and abundance
Show us your creativity with an abundance of beautiful sheep art. Make a sheep meme, take a pic of a sheep, decorate your dog/rat/cat/horse/kid/ like a sheep, picture of your book/pet/car/food with a sheep photoshopped in, photoshop your face into our logo...sheepify anything and send us a picture. If you give permission, we will feature your art in our side bar through out the Year of the Sheep! The more pathetic or crazy the better! Seriously, we love all 31 flavors of crazy.
I know what you're thinking...I'm not artistic, I can't use photoshop... Doesn't matter. We are not judging (okay, maybe a little, but not publicly!). Any and all attempts will win you moonpie points (also called entries) into the big monthly giveaways.
Details on how to do this at the end of the post.
First a little trivia lesson: there may or may not be a quiz at the end (there's not)
What does Wood and Sheep mixed together bring? The Sheep is kind, tender and sympathetic. Sheep are creative and elegant. Because of their softer side, they are symbolic of peace and harmony.
The Year of the Sheep follows a tumultuous Year of the Horse, and heralds a more calm atmosphere. Combined with the evergreen and renewal characteristics of Wood, the Sheep's creativity will be unleashed.
If last year was the Horse's year to gallop and take off, this year will be the year for contemplating and appreciating what has already been accomplished, to think about bringing goodness to others, to take a deep breath and calmly look at what's ahead. A steady path, generosity, and keeping the peace are this year's mantra.-http://www.china-family-adventure.com/year-of-the-sheep.html#.VLaRGyvF-vE
In a Sheep year, we enter an era of beauty, art, romance and abundance. We can expect the occasional upset, as this is an emotional sign, but overall the Sheep attunes to peace. It's a good time to resolve stubborn problems or break free of negative cycles.-http://www.happywishingwell.com/year-of-the-sheep-2015-16.html

*HUGS*
Lisa :)
I'm a rabbit, I don't think it fits.
ReplyDeleteA very happy Year of the Sheep to you, Sharon & Katie! Keep up the awesome work! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a Monkey. I think it kind of fits. =)

ReplyDeleteI'm a Pig... It totally fits... Baaart the sheep would live happily on my bookshelf, when not being sneakily stolen by my daughter....
ReplyDeleteHappy Year of the Sheep! I have no sheep pics to share, darn it! :(
ReplyDeleteHey There - This is a great idea! I'm the Ox. Hugs...Ro
ReplyDeleteSheep dominating one reader and film viewer at a time, until complete takeover!
ReplyDeleteI'm a rat....Ick....I guess I have those traits-- successful is a big of a stretch though. BAHAHAHAHA I'm hoping I'm a late bloomer.
ReplyDeleteIf I won Bart-- I'd try putting him on a bookshelf but I have a feeling my grandson will get hold of him for cuddling:)
I am a piggy, it fits. I wish you all a Happy New Sheep year, filled with lots of warm wool and friends. A picture of me with a sheep, I think I need help with that. I have no creative bone in my body, so I will stuck to Reading Romance. That is what I am good at.
ReplyDeleteI love the prizes, I really do.
I am a Water Ox, and it totally fits (and I've been hit with a double dose of obstinance as I'm a Capricorn according to Western astrology). I'd gift Baaart to my maamaa, who has a collection of stuffed sheepies (her family nickname is "Lammlein," which is German for "cute little lamb"). Bovids abound in my ancestry!
ReplyDeleteI´m a Dragon *rawr* and yes, it fits *nods* =D
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway & Happy Thursday!

It appears I am the first SHEEP to reply…yay! I will get on my sheep art pronto and give you something sheep wooly…yeah, that really didn't work out as we'll as it sounded in my mind, it was supposed to be a play on worthy…win some/lose some….my husband is a rabbit, they say we are 90% compatible…we're not speaking at the moment…so there you have that! Have fun with the sheepathon!
ReplyDeleteoh, and ps…I promoted your blog on a recent hop and I have a lucky winner who followed your every social media available…her prize is a book. So since you don't have your own book, I'm allowing her any book she saw reviews for on your site…just fyi!
I'm a Tiger, I think it fits somewhat.
ReplyDeleteIf I got a Baaart, I would give him to my grandson after posing him with my rats for pictures like I did with another Baaart last Easter. Baaart loves to take pictures with my rats. lol
DId we have to sheepify two things for the two entries?
ReplyDeleteI'm a sheep! :D I've always thought it fit. If I had y own Baaaart he would get to hang out with hubby's minions, Fluffers the Chicken, and Snortley the pig. They are a friendly bunch :)
ReplyDeleteI am a rat. Not unloved by some. I am supposed to be: Imaginative, generous, successful, popular, and curious. SO a little bit maybe.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a Baart of my own I would put him over my desk on a shelf to stare at me like a Baaart on a shelf.
I'm a rabbit and I pretty much agree with the description!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the awesome giveaway!
I'm an OX. :)
ReplyDeleteUgh. I lost my comment... anyways... Happy Sheep Year!
ReplyDeleteWhat is your Chinese Zodiac animal? - Tiger.
Does it fit you? - Yes, to a degree.
If you win Baaart what will you do with him? - My niece Mackenzie thinks everything I have is the coolest. So we will play sheep games and she will demand that everything have sheep on it for a year or so....
I'm a dragon!!! But... I'm still wishing you Happy Year of the Sheep!
ReplyDeleteHa! I'm anything but friendly lol the rest is ok ... I'm a Horse and little did I know my year just ended
ReplyDeleteHappy Sheep Year Flock!!
I'm a rabbit and I do think it fits me. I would make Baaart my reading companion and make him watch "The Walking Dead" with me.
ReplyDeleteI was born in the Year of the Rabbit and it does fit me very well. Baaart would have a very special place on my bookshelf and would be my snuggly book companion. Happy Chinese New Year!
ReplyDeleteI'm a dragon; it partially fits me! I'd keep Baaart in the guest bedroom for my grandchildren to play with when they visit.
ReplyDeleteOx --- I pray for patience every day NOW!!!
ReplyDeleteI fit my chinese year sign as I am loyal and friendly. In case you haven't guessed I'm a dog. I wonder if that makes me a sheepdog? As for Baart I'm not able to win him (Int) so have made no plans. Mind you I might one day crochet his evil twin for company :D
ReplyDeleteMy Zodiac animal is a snake and I think it fits.
ReplyDeleteI'm a tiger. Probably a good thing when married to the military!
ReplyDeleteI'm a horse, and I don't think it really fits... but then neither the other zodiac signs :D
ReplyDeleteI'm the ox some fits, and some doesn't.
