An uptight and by-the-book cop tries to protect the outgoing widow of a drug boss as they race through Texas pursued by crooked cops and murderous gunmen.
Finally got a chance to see this with my husband and 14 year old daughter. We laughed our a** off. Pretty much what you see in the trailer is what you get. Resse and Sofia (OMG I want to hate her because she is marrying Joe Manganiello) had great comedic chemistry. Yes, the plot is predictable except for one twist you won't see coming. But the audience was laughing out loud many times.
The movie is highly entertaining and worth a matinee price. If you wait to rent it, make sure you watch it with friends.
They played the Magic Mike XXL trailer during the previews...how they keep a straight face making this movie I have no idea, but...damn!

Thanks for reviewing this one. It looked really appealing, but I've been burned by too many comedies that put all the good stuff into their trailers and then have no laughs left to offer when you watch the movie. Glad to know that this one has some entertainment value! :)
ReplyDeleteI will watch it when it hits the home screen for sure. We just work all day and fall asleep.
