“The Series Finale” is the ninth episode of the American television miniseries WandaVision, based on the Marvel Comics characters Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch and Vision.

Wanda embarks on a troubling journey revisiting her past for insight into her present and future.

The events of WandaVision come to a head, and the destinies of all who took part are determined.

When Wandavision premiered there were a lot of naysayers who didn’t understand why Wanda and Vision were getting their own show. Or what the purpose was. A lot of viewers went in skeptics and emerged convinced that the show was what we needed.

The finale didn’t really end anything so much as it set the groundwork for the next step in not only Wanda's journey but in Monica's as well. Without giving anything away it seems both women are destined for two very different paths.

I loved the final episode. It packed in movie-sized action scenes, rad costumes (hello Scarlet Witch upgrade), a few answers, and yet another emotional goodbye between Wanda and Vision. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany have great chemistry together and on a smaller screen with the focus primarily on them? They shined. They made every scene better than the last and I am hoping that this isn’t the last time we see them together on screen in the MCU.

The supporting cast was superb and I especially loved getting another chance to see Kathryn Hahn's Agatha face-off with Olsen's Wanda. The result was pretty neat and Agatha's fate makes me wonder if she's really done for or not.

The show as a whole had its wobbly moments, and that’s what kept it from being a five-star series. The finale had one bit of a letdown when it came to Wanda's face-swapped brother. I was disappointed with the revelation there. It seemed like a cheap out strategy for the writers.

I’m not saying that the show was bad, just that it had ups and downs like other shows do, the difference is that Wandavision didn’t have a traditional season and it couldn’t afford to have “downs” like a normal series. But overall, this show did something new and I can’t wait to see what is next for these characters.
