None dared to touch her, or directly interact with her unless they required her healing gifts, so she’d been left to feed off scraps of emotion and energy.
She flattened her palms against his chest and tried in vain to push him away. Her cheeks heated in embarrassment, she was pathetically weak. “I—”
“Need me.” His rich voice was roughened with passion.
Katya trembled with yearning. Oh, yes, she needed. But would he demand she surrender? Could she? He was a vampire, an immortal immune to magic, invincible. Perhaps with him, she could let go.
