I read The Nicki Styx paranormal mystery series waaaay back when and adored them and have been meaning to introduce them to readers who might have missed out. Then I found out Terri had all the covers updated, and they triggered my grabby-hands. I love the aesthetic.

Today, I give you Talon Pack Series by Carrie Ann Ryan

Okay, these need a little explanation. I saw these three covers on Carrie's Twitter feed and they immediately caught my eye. I love the minimalist art and the cohesive theme. They are pretty, props to the artist.

Then I checked out Carrie's website and found out these are "Special limited Edition" covers of the first three books in a nine-book series. You can only get these covers if you buy them from her website. You can get them signed too.

Of course, I have to comment on the other Talon Pack series covers. They are the cliche' headless/almost headless torso that is common in paranormal romance, but they are aesthetically pleasing to the eye :)

Also, damn, this woman has written a lot of books! I'm guessing no matter what genre of romance you love she is going to have something you'll like.

I'm a big horror fiction and art fan and Dan Soule's Fright Night covers caught my attention. As a series, the books really don't have a cohesive theme but I think it's okay in this case since all the books are stand-alone. Each cover tickles my horror artwork senses. Then I stalked his website and found he has some other worthy covers and at great prices...like FREE!

Okay, it’s a bit dramatic, but we’re just setting the mood. I sit here, writing from my crypt, Cassandra, my one-eye cat psychopathically keeping down the rat population around my feet. We’ve had a particularly good crop of fungus from the walls this year. Come the winter we’ll be well fed but our dreams will be plagued with stomach cramps and terrible hallucinations. But it fuels the writing.

If you are feeling brave, take a look around, browse the stacks before the damp destroys the parchment. Fortunately, if you like what you see copies are available for your ebook readers or to buy from various codex emporiums.

You can sign up for a newsletter, if so inclined. Sadly, I’ve discontinued the vellum edition. We ran out of baby goats when the geese guarding the graveyard became rabid. We do so love to hear from the living, and pass on stories of what we’ve been up to, here in the imaginarium.
