Movie Review: Superman (2025)

Superman
July 8, 2025
Director: James Gunn

Starring: David Corenswet; Rachel Brosnahan; Nicholas Hoult; Edi Gathegi; Anthony Carrigan; Nathan Fillion; Isabela Merced
MPAA rating: PG-13
Running time: 2h 10m
Distributed by: Warner Bros.
When Superman gets drawn into conflicts at home and abroad, his actions are questioned, giving tech billionaire Lex Luthor the opportunity to get the Man of Steel out of the way for good. Will intrepid reporter Lois Lane and Superman's four-legged companion, Krypto, be able to help him before it's too late?

The latest edition to the Superman universe starts out with a bang, almost too much of a bang. It kind of feels like the movie starts at the halfway point. I thought maybe I had missed something. But as it goes on, some of the holes are filled in. But not all of them!

The movie is written well, but kind of oddly. Once you get used to it, it makes things a little easier to just sit back and relax. Maybe the movie follows comic book lore, or maybe I'm just out of touch with Superman.

Toward the middle of the film, I started to really enjoy it. At some point, there must have been enough info to keep me interested and invested. Plus, I loved his metadog and all the weird and odd side characters. Mom and Dad, back in Kansas, were so freaking cute. The Lois character, however, was annoyingly just a tad too bossy or pushy. But aside from that, everyone else really helps keep things moving along.

By the end, I felt like the greatest Superman, Mr. Christopher Reeve, would have liked this latest edition. The super suit looked classic original, the icy super cave was awesome, and Lex was back to being a slimy bad guy bully.

Overall, it was funny at times and action-packed, entertaining with an extra cast of Meta folks who helped keep things interesting. A summer adventure for sure, with heart and surprisingly entertaining.

Film Website-FB -Instagram-Twitter
The film continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word "SHAZAM!" is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam.

Billy Batson (Captain Marvel—as that is his name in the comics in 1941 and one point, a person in street calls him that!) and his fellow Shazam heroes and family don’t know it, by three goddesses are after them, angry that the god power their father, Atlas, had in a staff, was stolen and put in one mortal child from Earth by a wizard. They have the wizard in a prison, and have stolen the broken parts of the staff from Acropolis Museum, killing most of the guards and humans visiting in there, even making many into statues. In Philadelphia, Billy with his foster siblings save people on a collapsing bridge but are called out for the destruction. At home, everyone is drifting apart due to them growing older and having personal interests. Billy is worried about being kicked out of the Vasquez family after turning 18 and aging out of the foster system. In a dream, as Shazam, Billy is warned by the Wizard about the daughters of Atlas. Billy and his siblings then do research on the daughters.

The first movie was good. This one not so much, but then again, it is a comic book superhero movie. We have the actions of teens, even when they are "adult" superheroes. Billy is close to 18 years old and has to think about the future out of the foster program. Job or college. He must grow up sometime. And sometimes Billy tries to get his family together to do something about the Daughters of Atlas, but then goes back to being the immature teen. Until the ultimate battle (and I did love this.).

If you are looking for Shakespeare and a serious movie, then look elsewhere. But if you are looking for a couple of hours of a popcorn movie, then this is it. Non-spoiler (I won’t talk about them, but stay until the end.) There are two clips, one right after the end of the film--before the credits--and one at the end of the credits.

I give Shazam! Fury of the Gods 3 1/2 superhero sheep.

TV Series Review: Peacemaker: Season 1 (2022)

PEACEMAKER: SEASON 1 (2022)
Premiere Date: Jan 13, 2022
Genres: Comedy, Action
Network: HBO Max
Writer: James Gunn
Executive producers: James Gunn, Peter Safran, Matthew Miller
Cast: John Cena, Steve Agee, Jennifer Holland, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Freddie Stroma, Chukwudi Iwuji
PEACEMAKER explores the continuing story of the character that John Cena reprises in the aftermath of executive producer James Gunn’s 2021 film The Suicide Squad – a compellingly vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it!

The series stars John Cena as Peacemaker, Danielle Brooks as Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Harcourt, Chukwudi Iwuji as Murn, Steve Agee as Economos and Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith.

Gunn wrote all eight episodes of PEACEMAKER and directed five, including the first. Gunn, Peter Safran and Matt Miller serve as executive producers on the series, with Cena as co-executive producer. Based on characters from DC, PEACEMAKER is produced by Gunn’s Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Holy Sheep! This series is so flocking awesome! I don't know where to begin...

First of all, I know nothing about the Peacemaker DC canon story. Suicide Squad 2 was the first time I'd seen the character. And I didn't really like him. I wasn't a big John Cena fan either. But the character was funny in that "Snort! I can't believe he said that!" way.

The trailer for Peacemaker Season 1 was full of action (it's pretty violent) and I never say no to a superhero movie/series. It is probably my favorite comic TV series now (sorry WandaVision!). The whole cast (primary and secondary) was amazing in their roles. The characters' development from misfit loners into a team was full of heart.

The writing! I now understand why Peacemaker is the way he is and it isn't pretty. The show didn't shy away from some harsh topics but it was balanced with brilliant dark comedy. And the hair-metal band music score was fun. And the opening credits are hilarious. And...and...I could gush about it all day...lol.

Eagley wins best side-kick of the year.

Peacemaker Season 1 is a must-see.

TV Show Review: Sweet Tooth (Netflix)

Sweet Tooth
Jun 4, 2021
Creators: Jim Mickle, Beth Schwartz
Exec. Producers: Jim Mickle, Beth Schwartz, Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey, Amanda Burrell, Linda Moran
Cast: Christian Convery, Nonso Anozie, Adeel Akhtar, Stefania LaVie
Genre: Science Fiction & Fantasy
Network: Netflix
Ten years ago "The Great Crumble" wreaked havoc on the world and led to the mysterious emergence of hybrids -- babies born part human, part animal. Unsure if hybrids are the cause or result of the virus, many humans fear and hunt them. After a decade of living safely in his secluded forest home, a sheltered hybrid deer-boy named Gus (Christian Convery) unexpectedly befriends a wandering loner named Jepperd (Nonso Anozie). Together they set out on an extraordinary adventure across what's left of America in search of answers -- about Gus' origins, Jepperd's past, and the true meaning of home. But their story is full of unexpected allies and enemies, and Gus quickly learns the lush, dangerous world outside the forest is more complex than he ever could have imagined. Based on the DC comic book series by Jeff Lemire.

Based on the comic book of the same name, Sweet Tooth takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where a virus wiped out most of the human population and caused the emergence of hybrid babies born half-human, half-animal. Because of this, many humans fear these hybrids and hunt them. Sweet Tooth revolves around Gus, a half-human, half deer child left alone after his father dies from the virus. Gus finds what he believes is a photo of his mother and the word “Colorado” written on it. As Gus journeys across what is left of America searching for answers, he quickly learns that surviving in the world outside of his old home is a lot more complicated than he thought.

I’ll admit that I was very skeptical about this story for many reasons. It’s pretty far outside my preferred wheelhouse for one. But curiosity got the better of me, and I binged this 8 episode series and was pleasantly surprised. Sweet Tooth is way out there in terms of fantasy, magic, and believability, even for fiction. Suspending what you think you know and what you readily accept for this comic book/fantasy story is definitely your best bet. It would make a great family movie/binge night pick while also opening up an opportunity to have discussions with kids about people who are different.

I was not aware of Sweet Tooth before the series came out. I had no idea it was a comic until recently, so I can’t say if it’s true to the source material or not, but I can say that the casting choices added to it the likability of the story. Each actor brought to life their part of the story and made their character relatable to the audience.

So overall, whether it’s your preferred wheelhouse or not, I highly recommend Sweet Tooth.

TV Show Review: Doom Patrol season 2

Doom Patrol season 2
Premiere Date: Jun 25, 2020
Exec. Producers: Jeremy Carver, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Chris Dingess
Cast: Timothy Dalton, Matt Bomer, Joivan Wade, Riley Shanahan, April Bowlby, Diane Guerrero
Genre: Action & adventure, Comedy-drama
Network: DC Universe (Season 2)
HBO Max
Doom Patrol is a team of traumatized and downtrodden superheroes, each of whom has suffered a horrible accident that gave them superhuman abilities but also left them scarred and disfigured. The members of the team have found their purpose through The Chief and have come together to investigate some of the world's weirdest phenomena. After The Chief mysteriously disappears, though, the reluctant heroes find themselves called to action by Cyborg, who comes to them with a mission that they cannot refuse. Doom Patrol -- part support group, part superhero team -- is a band of superpowered freaks fighting for a world that wants nothing to do with them.

Doom Patrol season 2 on HBO Max was just what I've come to expect with this acid-trip random-ass puppet show. DC brings the full array of nutballs and whack jobs from their closet, dusts them off, and lets them play house all over the screen. The show is intensely dark, weird, makes no sense at times, and yet makes all the sense in the universe at others. It's a mixed bag of Spam and Candy Canes in one bite. Yet, it freaking works!

As we pick up on season 2, we get to know Dorthy a lot better. She has her "friends" that make appearances here and there. But the main theme is the Candle Maker, we don't know what's up with the guy, but bad news is the theme. Jane continues to battle with all the voices inside her, the struggle to control and contain is draining on her and it gets hard to watch at times. And yet, I can't look away.

Cliff is still struggling to just BE. He's not happy most of the time and continues to find ways to blame everyone around him, yet we want him to find peace. Rita and Larry are in the same boat as well. We want them both to find peace, master their powers, and live a life that will be meaningful to them. However, nothing is ever easy in this universe and so the wash, rinse, repeat goes on and on. And yet, I can't look away.

Cyborg.....I don't know what to say, except he's so on his high horse at times. Almost judgmental. Which I find out of place with all the other characters. And yet, I can't look away!

Danny the Street has got to be one of my favorite characters from any of the shows I've recently watched. I would party there any day, any time! The world that DC has created draws you in and won't let you go. It is so weird and thus why it is so great. I can't look away, and I sure as hell don't want to.

Though she's come into her full powers, she maintains a low profile by curating ancient artifacts, and only performing heroic acts incognito. But soon, Diana will have to muster all of her strength, wisdom and courage as she finds herself squaring off against Maxwell Lord and the Cheetah, a villainess who possesses superhuman strength and agility.

Getting 3 and 1/2 Sheep
Wonder Woman 1984 had a lot to offer, at times maybe too much fanny pack. But hey, they can come in handy! I decided to finally sign up for HBO just because of this movie. I'll binge-watch the hell out the rest of this month and cancel it soon. Took long enough to watch a blockbuster like this; I didn't care where I had to go. Just show me some Hollywood action already! All that said, I enjoyed seeing Gal once again get all decked out for WW.

No matter what you may think of the movie overall, Gal does an amazing job of bringing this superhero woman to life. She is believable, likable, and a downright joy to watch in any movie she makes. Girl crush much? Yea, sure why not. She's freaking smoking hot and can act her booty off! I dunno what else to say except I like her and really want to hope she's just as nice in real life.

All the action I come to expect with movies like this, bad guys, and gals. Hard decisions for humanity to make and some funny, witty character banter. Overall a very enjoyable popcorn movie for a Christmas evening at home, in my pj's, with the family. I can't ask for anything more. Except, maybe more butter for my popcorn!

3 1/2 Sheep
Katie and I agree on this one.

My husband and I also got HBO Max streaming just to see WW84. But we are keeping it for a while because Godzilla vs. King Kong in May!

Now, my husband has a very biased opinion of Wonder Woman, lol. He gave it 4 1/2 sheep.

I was a teenager in the 80s, and even I will admit that 80s culture hurt your eyes! So much bright. The movie overdid the "HEY LOOK IT'S THE 80s!" *shoves it in our faces." It did calm down eventually.

I liked the plot...couldn't figure out how Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) was back, but it all makes sense now, lol. The movie was longer than it needed to be...but the story is all heart and feels. The movie will pull at your heartstrings and leave you with a smile by the end—an overall positive message during a not so positive time for people in the real world.

Not as good technically as the first movie, but if you are a Wonder Woman fan (or just a Gal Gadot fan like my husband), then it's worth checking out.

Be sure to catch the after-credit scene.!

Sheep Movie Review: Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey

Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey
Feb 7, 2020
Directed By: Cathy Yan
Written By: Christina Hodson
Cast: Margot Robbie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Ewan McGregor, Rosie Perez, Ella Jay Basco
Rating: R (for strong violence and language throughout, and some sexual and drug material)
Genre: Action & Adventure
Studio: Warner Bros. Pictures
You ever hear the one about the cop, the songbird, the psycho and the mafia princess? "Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)" is a twisted tale told by Harley herself, as only Harley can tell it. When Gotham's most nefariously narcissistic villain, Roman Sionis, and his zealous right-hand, Zsasz, put a target on a young girl named Cass, the city is turned upside down looking for her. Harley, Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya's paths collide, and the unlikely foursome have no choice but to team up to take Roman down.

Saw Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey with my husband and 18-year-old daughter. It had some cool action scenes but overall it wasn't what I'd hoped for. The trailer made me think there would be a lot of kickass female action scenes...but the gang didn't get together till the last few minutes of the movie.

I enjoyed this Harley Quinn (vs the one in Suicide Squad) more. She was more like a comic book character than a side piece for the Joker. She was definitely more physically brutal when she beat the ever-loving s*** out the bad people after her.

There is a short audio after-credit scene that is just funny, it doesn't give any insight into future DC movies.

We all agreed on the rating. This is more a rental type of movie.

Sheep Movie Review: Joker (2019)

Joker (2019)
Oct 3, 2019
Directed By: Todd Phillips
Written By: Todd Phillips, Scott Silver

Cast: Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen
Rating: R (for strong bloody violence, disturbing behavior, language, and brief sexual images)
Genre: Action & Adventure, Drama, Mystery & Suspense
Runtime: 122 minutes
Studio: Warner Bros. Pictures
"Joker" centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone fictional story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips' exploration of Arthur Fleck, who is indelibly portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix, is of a man struggling to find his way in Gotham's fractured society. A clown-for-hire by day, he aspires to be a stand-up comic at night...but finds the joke always seems to be on him. Caught in a cyclical existence between apathy and cruelty, Arthur makes one bad decision that brings about a chain reaction of escalating events in this gritty character study.

Wow...there is so much to unpack with this movie. But let's get this out of the way...I loved it. It is dark and brutal and sad but it is one of the best villain character developments I've seen on the screen. The writers and directors got this one right. It was so believable, which is why it is disturbing. My emotions were everywhere. The more I think about it, the more I like it.

It does move slow, but it has to in the beginning. Once the Joker accepts his fate things get exciting and violent. I liked how they tied in Bruce Wayne's fate and the reason why the Joker laughs like he does.

Joker is a dark movie but from a storytelling point of view, it is brilliant.

Sheep Movie Review: Shazam! (2019)

Shazam! (2019)
Directed By: David F. Sandberg
Written By: Henry Gayden
Apr 5, 2019

Cast: Zachary Levi, Mark Strong (II), Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Djimon Hounsou, Faithe Herman
Rating: PG-13 (for intense sequences of action, language, and suggestive material)
Genre: Action & Adventure, Science Fiction & Fantasy
Runtime: 130 minutes
Studio: New Line Cinema
We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson's (Asher Angel) case, by shouting out one word--SHAZAM!--this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Zachary Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart--inside a ripped, godlike body--Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he'll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).

Went to see Shazam! with my 17-year-old daughter. Neither of us was familiar with the canon story. But I did watch the TV series back in the 70s.

What an unfortunate decade for fashion...

We both loved Shazam! I've always been a fan of Zachary Levi and thought he made an adorkable Shazam. Mark Strong (II), Asher Angel, and Jack Dylan all carried their weight and were well cast.

I was surprised at the darker elements in the movie. The trailer is all about the comedy, but so bad things happen...like a head getting bitten off in the PG-13 way (think Venom). I liked the balance of dark drama vs comedy and think DC finally pulled it off.

I don't know how well it stuck to the canon origin story. It was predictable but well written.

If you love superhero movies will you love Shazam!?

Sheep Movie Review: Aquaman (2018)

Aquaman (2018)
Dec 21, 2018
Rating: PG-13 (for sequences of sci-fi violence and action, and for some language)
Genre: Action & Adventure, Science Fiction & Fantasy
Directed By: James Wan
Written By: Will Beall, David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick
Runtime: 143 minutes
Studio: Warner Bros. Pictures

Cast: Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren

From Warner Bros. Pictures and director, James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, "Aquaman," starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime--one that will not only force him to face who he really is but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be... a king.

Went to see Aquaman with my 17-year-old daughter. We are big superhero movie fans and we agreed Aquaman was a disappointment.

Where to start...the writing was awful. I don't know the canon Aquaman story from the comics; I grew up with the Superfriends cartoon Aquaman. In this version, Arthur Curry becomes King Arthur a la Camelot, right down to the pulling of the sword/trident from the stone/dead king. But I could have dealt with the cheesy storyline if the script had been better. The story was cliche and predictable.

The whole movie was overproduced and poorly edited. It was like they were more interested in creating sexy/badass gifs and freeze frames than a movie. One minute you are watching a fight scene and the next you are looking at Jason Mamoa (not that I don't like looking at him) posing in a photo shoot for an expensive cologne, then we go back to the action.

I might not be popular for this opinion, buuuuuut...a little Jason Mamoa in Justice League (2018) is good, but a whole movie...not so good.

My daughter likes to make video edits and she complained about the CGI lagging in places.

The action scenes had too much going on so it ended up looking like a big mess flashing across the screen.

I did like a few things about the movie. It was cool how everyone looked and moved underwater. I've always been a fan of Willem Dafoe, and Dolph Lundgren's acting was surprisingly good!

DC still can't catch that superhero magic like Marvel has.

Comic Review: Batwoman (2017-) Vol. 1: The Many Arms of Death

Cover by: Steve Epting
Written by: James T Tynion IV, Marguerite Bennett
Series: BATWOMAN 2017
Book Type: Collected Edition Graphic Novel
Publisher: DC

Fresh from her adventures in DETECTIVE COMICS, Katherine Kane returns with her own DC Rebirth title—and an intriguing new mystery to solve—in BATWOMAN VOL. 1: THE MANY ARMS OF DEATH.

Someone is selling cutting-edge weaponry on the black market, and their aim is to kill as many people—from as many nations—as possible. With help from her intrepid assistant, Julia Pennyworth, and their high-tech mobile command center, the yacht Sequoia, Batwoman quickly tracks the weapons to their source: a small, lawless island known as Coryana, home to pirates, outlaws…and a year of Batwoman’s life.

Back before she joined the Bat-Family, Kate Kane spent some time with Coryana’s unofficial matriarch—and nearly lost herself in the process. Now her past is quickly catching up to her, and if Batwoman can’t figure out who to trust, the next thing she loses will be her life!

Acclaimed writers Marguerite Bennett and James Tynion IV and artists Steve Epting (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Stephanie Hans and Renato Arlem launch Batwoman into an explosive new era in BATWOMAN VOL. 1: THE MANY ARMS OF DEATH, collecting the BATWOMAN: REBIRTH one-shot special and issues #1-6.

I’m ashamed to admit, I’m not familiar with Batwoman. I know nothing about her so I went in blind to Batwoman Vol. 1: The Many Arms of Death.

And had my mind blown.
REBIRTH one-shot special and issues #1-6

Kate Kane’s story is one of tragedy, heartbreak, and survival that writers Marguerite Bennett and James Tynion IV strongly convey in each page of dialogue. From Kate’s tragic loss of her twin and mother as a child to her time in the military to the day she meets the Caped Crusader himself, Kate’s journey is chronicled in a few short sentences. I would have liked more about Kate’s past because it was just a fascinating story that took place over the course of a few years and in more than one place. The little bit that was told was what hooked me and had me finishing this volume in about an hour.

Just as important to a good story are the illustrations. Artists Steve Epting, Stephanie Hans, and Renato Arlem beautifully bring to life Kate’s world and don’t shy away from depicting the harsher aspects of her life. The details in each image really draw the eye to the rough action scenes as well as the raw emotions on Kate’s face. I loved all three artists’ contributions.
All in all Batwoman Vol. 1, The Many Arms of Death was a good introduction to a character I knew nothing about. I would have loved a more in-depth look into her past but I still managed to connect to this character through her will to survive and make amends. She’s a tortured character, more so than the more well known Batman, but she has a realistic complexity that makes her more interesting and in my opinion, that complex nature of hers should be explored a lot better in future volumes.

Sheep Movie Review: The Justice League (2017) Spoiler-free

Justice League (2017)
Directed By: Zack Snyder
Written By: Chris Terrio, Joss Whedon
Cast: Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa
In Theaters: Nov 17, 2017 Wide
Rating: PG-13 (for sequences of sci-fi violence and action)
Genre: Action & Adventure, Drama, Science Fiction & Fantasy
Runtime: 110 minutes
Studio: Warner Bros. Pictures
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes--Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash--it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League was entertaining. Went to see it with my husband and 16-year-old daughter. My husband liked it more than Thor: Ragnarok, but I think that has more to do with Wonder Woman.

Gotham City is just such a sad and dark place and the movies reflect that. Ezra Miller's Flash was the one bright spot. He was so freaking cute and had all the best lines. I was surprised at how much I liked Cyborg and the way they handled his backstory. Really hits you in the feels. I was a little disappointed with the depiction of Wonder Woman compared to the Wonder Woman movie. There were a lot of shots that focused on her butt...I mean, it is a nice one, but there was more emphasis on her looks in this movie. The Amazons wore two-piece armor so their bellies were exposed. But to be fair, Aquaman was shirtless so it kind of balances out. I like Ben Aflack as Bruce Wayne, but I'm not a fan of the Batman costume. It has no flexibility. I'm not sure he can even sit in that thing. He moves around like an action figure without any movable parts.

There were lots of great action scenes between the villain Steppenwolf (He has mommy issues.) and our Superheros. Thor: Ragnarok set the superhero movie bar kind of high for me and Justice League didn't quite reach it. But it looks great on the big screen so it is worth seeing.

KATIE'S REVIEW

I didn't get all the same warm fuzzes Sharon and fam did. Not at all. I wanted to. It just didn't happen. That really does make me sad too. I may not be a big DC fan BUT I do love heroes and hot guys with their shirts off. *swoon for Aquaman!*

This movie was missing a ton of pieces when it came to story-line. The Amazon gals looked weak sauce, acted weak and fought weak which that right there really bugged me. The team overall just did not work for me, Batman was totally different in this movie as in any other movie I have ever seen the character. Even Val Kilmer did a better job. The new Flash was cute but got annoying just as quickly. Cyborg was the only one I actually liked and was invested in.

The CGI left much to be desired, what the Hades happened! Overall, the movie was middle of the road. I wanted better. Expected better. Didn't happen. That's how it goes sometimes.
