The V V Inn has a ghost problem. When the lurking specters draw the attention of Constantine, head of Grim Reaper Services, he calls in the only local who can return the remote resort to its former tranquility, Lisa Carron—resident Alaskan reaper.
Still new to the death gig, Lisa accepts the job. After all, how much trouble could one ghost be? Once at the hotel, she learns that not only is the inn full of the dearly departed, she’ll also be working for vampires. Throw in Asa, a young vamp hot enough to melt the Arctic ice, and Lisa realizes she’s way out of her element.
Asa didn’t know what to expect when told a reaper would be working on the property, but Lisa certainly wasn’t it. Blond and curvy, she’s very easy on the eyes. Tasked with helping her, Asa soon realizes that not only can she provide the dead a peaceful passing, but offer him solace in a way no other woman can.

Review
Lisa has a lot on her plate. She's a real life Angel of Death, a grim reaper for the GRS (Grim Reaper Services). She has three kids to feed and take care of, so after her husband dies she took this job. She reaps idiotic spirits and her partner, Nate reaps violent criminals. On top of having a strange job, she's been having lusty fantasies about her boss, Constantine but since she's not completely sure he's human, she hasn't acted on her fantasies. Nate, being her partner usually goes on the reaps with her but he has another assignment so she's doing this one alone.
She's sent to Fairbanks, Alaska to the V V Inn. They cater to a special clientèle, which Lisa thinks are the rich and famous but it turns out they are much more than that.
Asa, a vampire who lives at the V V Inn meets Lisa when she arrives. He realizes right away that Lisa doesn't know he's a vampire or that there are werewolves at the Inn as well. Asa lives off of bagged blood since his bite is unbearably painful to humans and he doesn't want to hurt anyone else like that again. So when things start to heat up between the two of them, he's afraid he won't be able to stop himself from biting her during a moment of passion.
Lisa is there to reap the ghosts who are at the Inn, but things quickly get out of hand when some of the ghosts don't want to cooperate and leave. Asa helps Lisa reap the ghosts and in the process, things heat up between the two of them especially after Asa gets hurt and needs blood.
There were a lot of different elements to this short read, including a pirate booty, an elevator to the afterlife and ghosts that can possess you in a most shocking ways. One of the funniest lines from this book was, "Not the part with you and me! That was...incredible. But having a ghost try and penetrate my hoohah?" Yeah, after reading that, I had to read it again just to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
The one thing I didn't like is how the author changes perspectives during the book so that it's from several characters not just the perspective of one. I don't generally like it when books are written this way as it can seem confusing, but this author did a fairly good job letting us know from who's perspective were were seeing things from and didn't let things get completely confused.
If you're looking for a quick, fun read then might be the book for you.
