Swagday Contest Winners - couch digging edition

This month I picked the winners with a method suggested by my 10  year old (Hey, Holly!). She suggested digging into the couch cushions.

So...I wrote everyone's name on a little piece of paper (I'm old fashion like that, I don't need no stink'in rafflecopter! And the fact that I have no idea how to put one on the blog has nothing to do with it!) 

I dumped them all into the couch.

Then I had Holly start digging!

She pulled out 2 (and found $.76, I had to let her keep it)

September Swagday Winners!

My daughter begged me to let Drake the Rat pick the winners again.  So I assigned everyone numbers and wrote them down (104 separate entries (some got double for being a follower) and put them in a basket with some mini marshmallows.  Got to give Drake some incentive to pillage through the entries.

To pick our 300 Follower winner I decided to use the... POPCORN POPPER!




I filled out all the little papers with everyone's name and folded them lovingly.



Then lovingly dumped them into the popper.

Thanks to everyone that showed up and played with us on Swagday. I decided to select our first and second place winners a little differently.

First I put everyone's name on a little piece of magical paper! There ended up being about 54 magical entries after giving our followers their extra.







Then I mixed them up and dumped them on a blanket.










Then Drake was placed next to the magical entries. He wasn't interested. So we hid Smarties candy under the pile.

I picked up the magical entry that was closest to his little paws for the first place winner. Then I mixed up the magical entries and let Drake do his magic again for the second place winner
