Afterlife: The Resurrection Chronicles

Afterlife: The Resurrection Chronicles by author Merrie Destefano hit book stores this week with a bang! Holy freakn undead sheep I devoured this book. Afterlife marks this authors first sci-fi novel and if this one is any gage on the rest …the series will be fantastic.

The book takes place in New Orleans (goin down the bayou) and is set in a twisted future where clones reign supreme. Man has developed the technology to extend human life. For a price, of course. There is ALWAYS a price. Make sure you read the fine print before signing on the dotted line...

Would you want to live over and over? Would you want to die in one life and wake up brand spanking new? Would you take memories from a previous life with you? "Sign up today and you too can live out 9 lifetimes!" It's a choice everyone has to make in this book. The temptation of extended life is always great and so many are hungry for a taste.

The children in the future are vanishing too…due to, lets just say complications. With so few born there are those who are out to kidnap these rare kids for very dark and devious purposes. No one is safe. The Underground Circus will take your baby's, never to been seen again. Its creepy. *shivers*

Merrie writes a captivating story that drags you in and holds onto you to the end. I was sucked so deeply into this book I felt as if I was feeling and smelling the world around these characters. I could taste the drama and let me tell ya it was yummy. *licks lips*

A BIG bonus was the mention of some fuzzy four legged animals that also just so happen to be the name of our blog. :)

Maybe the only thing lacking was a little more hot and heavy action between the main characters. But thats just my romance addiction coming out. lol

This book comes with high praise from me and is recommend to all. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book in this series!
