Sadie begins manifesting new and unusual powers. Never quiet fitting in, she has struggled with a painful past. Sadie's mom was locked up in a mental hospital and Sadie's afraid that the same thing might happen to her. Haunted by a family history of mental illness, Sadie ends up hiding her abilities from her sister who wants Saide to be back on her meds. Wonder why? I'm not telling! lol
Elijah is a seeker, an immortal hunter in search of a friend who went missing. With the help of his immortal friend Holly, they go looking for someone with the talent to help them find the lost friend. As chemistry heats up the pages, Sadie and Elijah have a cosmic connection. Sadie has dreamed of Elijah, and no matter how hard they try to stay away from one another the pull is too great. These Immortals mate for life, and being away from their true love makes immortals deathly ill.
Everyone is on the hunt for The Book of Sorrow, an ancient artifact that can be used for good or evil, and many immortals have less than the best intentions. Earth and immortal realms are separate but are becoming increasingly in conflict, some immortals think humans should be wiped out of the earth because they think humans are worse then scum. The race for the book is on, and the ride takes the reader on an amazing journey.
Twists and turns, backstabbing, action, romance and major jealousy spice up the pages of this incredible new series.
Amber Scott outdid herself surpassing all expectations, she delivered on all fronts then took it a step further with the underlying mental illness. I feel very passionately about this book. It grabs you makes you think, loved it. There are a dime a dozen books out there right now but this one stands far above any other, well rounded. With a flare of paranormal, this book is a must read that will add depth to your reading repertoire.
