Sheep Book Review: Alien Proliferation by Gini Koch

Alien Proliferation, by author Gini Koch, is the 4th book in her action-packed Sci-Fi series. Kitty and Martini are back, and the full snarky dialog we love is fully in effect! With a baby in the oven and crazies out to take over the world, the team at Alpha Centaurion are once again tasked with saving the world. It's one heck of a ride you don't want to miss!

Plot:

Alien Super-Being Exterminator Kitty Katt is expecting her first baby. But the alien attacks are getting more dangerous, and now Kitty and her Alpha Centaurion husband, Jeff, have to find out who's behind the conspiracy to kill Kitty's secret agent mom and what caused Kitty's transformation into a superhuman-and they've got to do it all before the baby shower...

What I love about Gini's writing style is the non-stop sarcasm. Everyone's got something to say and most of the time that comes out as pure sarcastic banter. It's not something that can just be created or copied. As an author Gini can make her dialog feel natural, like people would actually talk the way she writes. The end result is a believable and enjoyable story that is very easy to read and I love it. As for the characters, Kitty and Jeff are one of my favorite book couples. They completely love and trust one another to handle anything the bad guys can dish out; and in AP the bad guys are tougher and deadly than anything else they've faced by far. Plus they have amazing chemistry which Kitty can't ever stop thinking about. Ah, a gal after my own heart! A baby on the way isn't Kitty and Jeff's only problem this time around. Their alien-hunting team is getting a change in the lineup and rumors of an enemy mole in the ranks has everyone on edge. *cue dramatic music*

Pop culture references abound in AP and the fun continues until the very end. So many twists and turns in the plot keeping the reader guessing until the absolute finale. You don't know who's going to end up on which side of the final conflict until the entire plot becomes clear. And trust me things are NOT clear until the end. If a book can take the reader on a truly fantastic ride then it's one you want to read over and over, AP does that and more.
