It begins after an epic battle left a great city torn, but with the world saved. As humanity picks up the pieces, a shadowy group reveals itself in an attempt to control the direction of history...while an ancient, powerful new menace sets Earth in its crosshairs. With help from a new cast of humans (led by Mark Wahlberg), Optimus Prime and the Autobots rise to meet their most fearsome challenge yet. In an incredible adventure, they are swept up in a war of good and.

I have never hidden my little crush on Optimus Prime. So I went to see Transformers 4 with expectation I would love it regardless! How wrong I was...it was such a disappointing movie.

First, it was unnecessarily long. You don't artistic lighting shots in a Transformer movie.

Second, I can swallow a whole lot of bull crap in my action movies, but once you set up rules for your universe you can't change them because they were inconvenient. The "Evil" robot army was T-1000 capable. If you blew them up they would reform...until it was time for the big bad guy a** whooping. Suddenly they didn't do that anymore and could be blown up.

Third, Optimus "King Arthur" Prime. Pulling a sword from the immovable object, riding off on your dinosaur (in all fairness Arthur rode a horse, but you know what I mean). I will give props to the dinosaur transformers. I mean they came to Earth 60 million years ago so it wasn't like they could copy an 18-wheeler.

Fourth, what the heck happened to the bounty hunter's space ship prison at the end? It was kind of floating over Hong Kong with bad guys from all over the universe and the owner was dead...

Fifth, product placement shame. OMG. We aren't talking subtle. They beat you over the head with the stuff.

There are lots of other little things that bothered me, but I'll just start crying again. There are some funny scenes and the music was good.

Honestly I wouldn't waste your money at the theater unless you have kids that want to see it, but there is a good deal of language. Wait for the DVD.

2 "sad little" sheep

    1. It was kind of insulting the way they did it. There are some great special effects and lots of explosions...it is like they just tried to hard.

  2. some people have been loving it. Maybe if you haven't seen the first three this one doesn't seem so bad. You don't realize they are recycling characters and scenes from the others.

  3. Damn, I knew it wasn't going to be great, but I was hoping for at least fairly good. How was Mark Wahlburg?

  5. That's just sad, I mean, I had a feeling it wasn't going to be all that great but damn, TWO sheep from you Sharon? That sucks I was hoping it would be good. I think the fans should write the next one since the "experts" are failing to deliver.

  6. Sounds like my experience with The Matrix Revolutions. Oh you liked badass, so let's give you even more badass to the point it's not possible and so therefore not really badass, just bad movie concept.

  8. Transformers has ambition and attitude in its pores, and spectacle to spare. Bay shoots cars like they’re women, and people like they’re cars, and tosses around metal like it’s made from thin air. The film wasn’t meant to make you think, but it does. For better or worse, it’s cinema.
