Top 5 Safe Boxset Reading Practices (Nightshade: 17 tales of Urban Fantasy)

As you sit down to read Night Shade, or some other book you stumble across that happens to have seventeen authors, there are a few steps you should take before you proceed. These things will help keep you safe and hopefully enhance your reading experience.

1. Hydrate! Drink as much water as possible for a couple of days prior to reading. There’s nothing like a charley horse striking your page-turning finger to ruin all the fun just as you’re hitting the good part.

2. A do-not-disturb sign because there’s nothing like friends and family to screw up a good book. If they don’t respect the sign, I’ve heard duct tape and rope come in handy.

3. Keep plenty of protein bars handy. You must keep up your strength!

4. Caffeine since you’ll have to get up extra early if you plan on reading this in one shot. This is not the day to don’t skimp on the chemical enhancers.

5. Candy. I’d suggest a combination of gummy bears, Twizzlers, and Snickers. A sugar rush will help you power through last couple hours when you just don’t know if you can make it.
