Eye of the Storm (Gray Ghost #2)
by Amy McKinley
March 6, 2018
Genres: Adult, Romance, Suspense
Deep in the untamed wilderness of the notorious Darien Gap, a soldier wakes. Injured, he has no memory of who he is or why he is there until a beautiful woman tells him his name. But can he trust her?
When Mari Dias stumbles upon Chris Shaw in the jungle—a place many risk but few survive—she enlists his help to escape a country ruled by the very family who hunts her.
Before we get rollin on a review, can we just give a nice little tops off to this DAMN HOT cover! Meeeeooowwww. Cover me in honey and lick that shat up! I am a cover whore and give -0 foxes what anyone thinks. Love a good sexy cover, really sells the story for me. I'm selfish and all about those looks, oh well.
Cover hottie aside, this story was really very darn enjoyable. It's missing my vamps but I didn't seem to mind. Mostly. The characters worked hard on their separate missions but came together as a unit when needed. I loved the Jason Bourne feelings I was getting at many different plot points. Seems the author may be a fan girl of those movies, not bothering me one bit.
Tons of sexy steamy romance from our leading pair. I liked how well thought out this couple was, the author took great care in unraveling this one. Overall, an action-packed adventure set to the jungle drum beat. Kept me hooked until the last page and exploring what other books this author has for sale.
