Getting back to Xest was the easy part. It’s staying here that seems to be the problem.

I have three hags, also known as Xest Immigration, hot on my tail trying to deport me back to Salem. The wall I built in the Unsettled Lands is in jeopardy. Hawk, a man who was once my ally, can’t decide if he wants to lead the horde trying to drive me out or kiss me. Not to mention, everyone keeps calling me the Nowhere witch, and I’ve got a bad feeling it’s not a compliment.

But when the betrayals start rolling in, I realize I’ve got bigger problems. Staying alive becomes the most important issue of the day.

After months in Rest, all Tippi wanted was to return to Xest so when the opportunity arose, and she found herself back in Xest she was ecstatic. Now the challenge is to become a citizen of Xest so she can stay in the only place that has ever really felt like home. Xest Immigration is made up of three really old witches and they have requested an audience with Tippi. As nervous as she is about staying in Xest she has so many problems stacking up she doesn’t know where to start.

Tippi has the type of personality that is infectious, and her loyalty is exceptional. Hawk however is difficult and has more secrets than pandora’s box. Each of the residents of Xest brings something to the table that you want to know more about. There are so many possibilities with this series that the sky is the limit with where Augustine can go with it.

Donna Augustine was an odd child, had a brief moment of conformity in early adulthood and then decided to embrace her craziness as the years rolled by. It's her inner crazy that she credits with coming up with the ideas for her books. One part hypochondriac, a few dashes of paranoia, topped with a sliver of uptight and delivered with a relaxed flair, she kicked the proverbial box down the yellow brick road a couple years ago to embrace her true self.

She can be reached by a carrier pigeon, set free in a south by north direction, where she resides in Neverland with her two Siberian cats. Cats who, by the way, aren't as hypoallergenic as she believed they'd be.

For the conventional minded, and those of you without a pigeon on hand, she can be reached at donna@donnaaugustine.com. She responds to most emails within three dusk periods.

P.S. For those of you looking for the discarded box, it was sitting beside the road for a while but has since disappeared completely.
