From the Demon Accords Universe: meet Katrina Westing. One of Tatiana Demidova's fixers, deadly fighter, borderline psycho. She can make personnel problems literally disappear. Turned at age twelve, trapped in a child's body for 170 years, rescued from personal hell by Chris Gordon. This is her story.

Katrina Westing is one of Tatiana’s fixers, one she can send on a mission where stealth or violence is necessary, and she always delivers. Katrina was turned at the age of 12, a taboo in the Darkkin world, but with the help from others in the vampire world she was able to survive and thrive. She is one who in today’s modern world may be termed a sociopath or a psychopath as she doesn’t feel the emotions as most do.

This was a story that needed telling. It gives insight into how the Darkkin view themselves and the rules they have. It tells how if someone was given the chance, a person can thrive in a new environment, and it might just save their life. Katrina has been around in the series, but I really enjoyed getting to know her more.

Conroe wrote his first readable novel, God Touched, right after finishing his daughter's copy of Twilight and muttering: "Vampires don't farging sparkle!"

With seven more books in the series and a stand alone novel (Black Frost), he doesn't seem to be slowing down. He cut his reading teeth on the likes of Robert E. Howard, Edgar Rice Burroughs, JRR Tolkien, Robert Heinlein, Andre Norton, and H. Beam Piper.

Financial professional by day and author by night (actually by morning), he bangs out his stories with fingers that are usually sore from forge burns or getting beat up at the dojo.
