Lincoln Marshall has failed. The Godslayer is trapped in her worst nightmares. His only chance of repairing the timeline is dead. He's stuck a decade in the past with Sophie Keyes, and the world is falling apart.

Held captive by the Union, Lincoln and Sophie must fight to repair a timeline rapidly unraveling.

James Faulkner has survived, but he's not whole. He's divided into angel and demon--his ambition and obsession severed from his power and passion. His angel side wants to rescue Elise. His demon side wants to rescue the world, at any cost--even if it means letting Elise die. Between their brilliant minds, they've conceived a plan that can repair the timeline. The only price is their lives.

Lincoln finds himself in another timeline and this one is even worse than his original timeline. Elise is trapped in a living nightmare with her biggest enemy and James has been split in to literally as an angel and a demon. Lincoln wants to fix the timeline and return to his world with Sophie but to make this happen people will die.

Reine has the ability to create many different worlds within her books that most of us can’t even imagine. Lincoln, Sophie, Elise, James, and Betty are at the center of this book where the only one with enough power to fix the mess is Sophie but does, she want to fix this world that is not her own and live here for the rest of her life? The characters are complex and full of depth that most of us can relate to in one way or another. This book might make your head spin too but all in a good way.

Sophie Keyes has been taken. Accused of breaking the laws central to the universe, she’s at risk of being erased from existence—unless Lincoln Marshall can fix her wrongs for her.

Book 3 of the A Fistful of Daggers Series.

Hold on Reine fans this one is going to throw you for a loop. Book 3 of A Fistful of Daggers is extremely well written, and the format is totally different than her other books but never fear it only made the book that much better.

Sophie has been taken by the Traveler and Lincoln is determined to get her back. The problem with that is the Traveler seems to be able to stop anything from happening and knows everything. Sophie is being accused of breaking the laws of the universe which holds the fabric together and the only way to fix that is to correct Sophie’s wrongs. Lincoln together with Sophie and the Traveler will travel back to correct her mistakes if it’s the last thing they do.

The creativity and imagination in this one are terrific! The layer upon layer of intricate details is mind blowing and where all this goes next is anyone’s guess.

Book Review:Spellsmoke: An Urban Fantasy Novel (A Fistful of Daggers Book 2) by SM Reine

Spellsmoke: An Urban Fantasy Novel (A Fistful of Daggers Book 2)

It's not much of a life, taking bounty hunts on vampires. But as a disgraced former deputy, Lincoln Marshall's not exactly knee-deep in job offers, and airplane tickets are expensive after the apocalypse. His dying father is all the way across the country in Northgate. It's Lincoln's last chance to see him, and he'll do whatever it takes to get there - even though the werewolf pack in Northgate is still out for his blood.

Sophie Keyes, the one and only Historian, needs Lincoln's help. She fears the gods may be out to kill her. So Lincoln drags her back home despite his better instincts - only to learn that home's not exactly safer than Reno. Some preternatural monster is killing hospice patients in Northgate.

Sheriff Noah Adair is convinced the killers are werewolves. The werewolves are convinced Lincoln Marshall is the killer. And Lincoln thought surviving the post-apocalypse had been bad enough before all this crap.

Book 2 of the A Fistful of Daggers series.

Lincoln was disgraced as a deputy and has no job offers on the horizon, so he takes bounties and hunts vampires to get paid. He wants to use the money to find his ex-girlfriend Elise. He needs her help with an immediate problem that he faces. His plans take a turn when his cousin calls and says his dad is dying and he needs to get home as fast as he can. Sophie has an assassin out to kill her and decides the only way to stay alive and protect history is to enlist Lincoln’s help.

Sophie rejected Lincoln’s advances for a relationship in the past and he still has some sore feelings over her rejection, but Lincoln is an honorable man nonetheless and will do anything he can to keep Sophie safe. The dynamics between Sophie and Lincoln are interesting. They aren’t the type of couple you would envision together, but something about their differences draws them together as well. Family drama is always the hardest for people to face and seeing the truths sometimes if hardest of all. If you've wondered how some things came to be in other series there are some answers here so you won’t want to miss this but beware the story creates more questions for your mind to ponder.

God is dead. Lincoln Marshall knows who killed Him...

It's been a month since apocalypse destroyed the world as Lincoln Marshall once knew it. The new world is populated by deadly faeries, wild shapeshifters, and humans without a god. Lincoln's sins can never be absolved now that God is dead. There's nothing left for him but the bottom of a whiskey bottle.

Until Cesar Hawke comes seeking help. The undersecretary of the new Office of Preternatural Affairs has manifested uncontrollable magical powers. The only cure lies beyond the frontier of the untamed faerie worlds -- a land that no mortal man can survive. He needs Lincoln to escort him to the Winter Queen through hostile territory riddled by killer unicorns, doppelgangers, and false prophets. No big deal.

Lincoln Marshall once conquered Hell. He's certain he can conquer the Middle Worlds too -- and if he can't, he's happy to die trying.

The world was destroyed by the apocalypse a month ago, and people are still coming to terms with what and who they have become. Some didn’t return and stayed dead, others became fae, shapeshifters and other strange things. Lincoln feels that his sins can never be forgiven now that God is dead and is determined to drink himself to death.

Cesar Hawke is the undersecretary of the new Office of Preternatural Affairs, and after a month of the new world has developed out of control magical powers. He is a danger to all around him and the only cure is in the faerie worlds which no mortal can survive. Lincoln will escort him to the Winter Queen in hopes of helping Cesar and others live.

If you are a faithful SM Reine fan and have been reading all her series this is the one you’ve been waiting for. The story of Lincoln Marshall. Many of the blanks on Lincoln are filled in as well as a few other characters as well. It didn’t bother me that we were going back in time, so to speak either, it just helped enhance the books I’ve already read.
