In Reflections, each design is mirrored on the opposite page so you can practice using color theory differently for the same design to see the difference it can make. Rosanes gives a brief description of color theory in the introduction. Six different artists picked a design to color and Rosanes gives an explanation of their techniques so you can learn from those too.

As always, Rosanes' art is detailed and rich. Lots of opportunity to express your creativity.

Book Review: World of Color (Worlds) Paperback Coloring Book by Kerby Rosanes

World of Color (Worlds) Paperback Coloring Book
by Kerby Rosanes
October 18, 2022
Publisher: Plume
From the global coloring sensation, a new, dazzling compilation of colorists' favorite images from Kerby Rosanes's stupefying Worlds series.

World of Color is a book of coloring challenges that showcase the internationally bestselling illustrator's astounding artistic skill through eighty pages of super-detailed artwork in Kerby's signature style. Loyal fans and newcomers alike will be entranced and enthralled as they step into his singular imagination.

Featuring a full-color sixteen-page section at the beginning to display the work of some of Kerby's most talented fans, the original art in this section will demonstrate the incredible, unique approaches that colorists can try their hands at in the subsequent pages.

It is important to note that this is a collection of colorists' favorite Kerby Rosanes drawings. There are no new images in this coloring book. I noticed some people have given a poor review for this coloring book because they thought there would be new pages. I knew what I was getting into when I received a copy for review.

The artwork is of course, amazing. These pages may seem like they are for expert-level coloring artists, but you don't have to be. You can do your own thing and practice more advanced coloring techniques shown in the beginning by the colorists who chose the artwork included. And instead of the colorist giving commentary on their techniques, Kerby gives it! So you get his perspective about how his images were colored.

Check out the Look Inside feature on Amazon to see some of the artwork. It is always a joy to see Kerby's artwork. Excuse me while I find my coloring pencils...

Book Review: Kaleidomorphia: Celebrating Kerby Rosanes's Coloring Challenges by Kerby Rosanes

Kaleidomorphia: Celebrating Kerby Rosanes's Coloring Challenges
by Kerby Rosanes
October 26, 2021
80 pages
Publishing: Plume
An astonishing second compilation of the most striking images taken from the Morphia series, with colored-in examples

Kaleidomorphia is a stunning second compilation of Kerby Rosanes's most remarkable artwork from his beloved mega-bestselling Morphia series. This collection, just like the first, Colormorphia, features a full-color sixteen-page section that showcases some of the most accomplished completed artworks produced by Kerby's fans. These pages demonstrate the range of approaches colorists can experiment with when coloring.

The artworks displayed in the color section are included in the black-and-white section of the book, too, giving the reader the opportunity to duplicate the approach should they wish. In addition, there are a variety of images to color featuring the very best from Kerby's Morphia portfolio.

This is my second Kerby Rosanes coloring book. The first was the beautiful Fragile World (review HERE). And Kaleidomorphia is just as beautiful but with a fantasy flair!

I opened it up and marveled at the artwork. There is no way I can do these pictures justice with my coloring skills, lol. But that won't stop me!
Rosanes also had talented colorists color some of the pages. He included them at the front of the coloring book along with where to find each artist online and his thoughts on their techniques
(left) Japanese Wave - Virginie, aka @loucatvis
(right) Lost Ruins - Laila Heldal, aka @branddoao.arts.

Kaleidomorphia is a coloring lover's dream!

Book Review: Fragile World Adult Coloring Book by Kerby Rosanes + giveaway

Fragile World
by Kerby Rosanes
March 16, 2021
96 pages
Publisher: Plume
From the internationally bestselling artist Kerby Rosanes, an extraordinary coloring book celebrating some of the incredible animals and landscapes that are disappearing around the globe

Fragile World is a coloring book to savor, exploring fifty-six endangered, vulnerable, and threatened animals and landscapes—from the Tapanuli orangutan to the hawksbill turtle, from Philippine bat caves to the Baltic Sea.

The illustrations are intricate, detailed, and unforgettable, both magisterial and whimsical. And the result is a stunning tribute to Mother Nature. Fragile World is a coloring experience that is at once vintage Kerby and unlike any other.

Fragile World has beautifully detailed artwork! The paper is thick so you don't have to worry about bleed-through. At the end, there is a description of each endangered animal included in the book.

Kind of hard to review a coloring book... it is either good or not, lol. Fragile World is definitely worth buying if you love coloring.
