The best intentions often come back to haunt you. MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - FALLOUT finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) along with some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong. Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast with filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie returning to the helm.

Went to see Mission Impossible - Fallout with my husband and 17-year-old daughter. My daughter has never cared for the Mission Impossible movies. She thinks they move too slow. And this one was no different to her.

My husband and I thought it was entertaining. It is over the top crazy...Ethan Hunt survives things no human can. The Mission Impossible movies are more like superhero movies. Hell, Superman (Henry Cavill) is in it! Looking good too.

If you've enjoyed the previous MI movies then you will love this one. I'm not a Tom Cruise fan, but he makes a great Ethan Hunt. And Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames always make me laugh. The big special effects are great for the big screen and MI is worth a matinee price.

Went to see Jack Reacher with my husband because he loved the first one. This was probably one of the most predictable movies I've seen. I could repeat the dialogue before the characters even said it. It was one big action movie cliche. No surprises at all. I really can't think of any reason to see this at the theater. Wait for the DVD. Unless you are a big Cruise fan. It isn't a bad movie...just generic.

My husband gave it 3.5 sheep. I give it...

With the IMF disbanded, and Ethan (Tom Cruise) out in the cold, the team now faces off against a network of highly skilled special agents, the Syndicate. These highly trained operatives are hellbent on creating a new world order through an escalating series of terrorist attacks. Ethan gathers his team and joins forces with disavowed British agent Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), who may or may not be a member of this rogue nation, as the group faces their most impossible mission yet.

Rogue Nation is absolutely one of the most thrilling and action packed films to hit this summer. Tom Cruise has once again delivered an over the top fanatical high speed ride! From beginning to end, this film entertains every step of the way and keeps you hanging on to your oh shi@ bars!

Does anyone look better full-go running then Cruise? He's got this almost iconic "run face" down pat. I love just watching him run all over town! Run, Tom, run! Add that to his amazing death defying stunts, I mean he really hung onto the outside of a damn plane, and he's truly one of the best actors of our time! Is he crazy off screen? I don't know and I don't care! Be cray cray all day, live it and love it. Bathe in it for all I care. Then go out and make more hits like this one!

So many humorous moments from the merry band of spy brothers, fun high-tech gadgets and killer musical score just add the icing on this rich chocolate cake. More please! I'll keep watching this man and this franchise. Plus there's finally a badass chick that can take on the bad guys and make it look really good.

If you want to check out a entertaining action film done right, then go see this!

Sheep Movie Review: Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, directed by Brad Bird, stars Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Michael Nyqvist and Paula Patton. Watch Ethan (Tom Cruise) jump over objects, roll under them, climb up them then run down them, slide over them, throw himself out of them, blast right through them THEN biff it a few times and you've got yourself one heck of a cardio workout. *bends knees and touches toes* But really, the man looks great running full-throttle all over the world. It's a blockbuster super high-tech thrill ride and while it leaves much to be desired in the plot line it's entertaining enough to keep you strapped to your seat.

Plot:

This is not just another mission. The IMF is shut down when it's implicated in a global terrorist bombing plot. Ghost Protocol is initiated and Ethan Hunt and his rogue new team must go undercover to clear their organization's name. No help, no contact, off the grid. You have never seen a mission grittier and more intense than this.

Land, sea, sand or air this movie's got a lot going for it but it's strongest point is some of the outrageous stunts which keep you hanging onto your seat. MI: GP is filled with intense action sequences, but falls a bit flat when it comes to much of the storyline and script. The opening minutes were terribly hokey but after that awful little snafu the story gets going and Tom's leading the way. As usual Tom and company have gadgets so beyond reality you have a hard time buying into the story. Plus the fact that his team and his alone are the only ones able to stop an immanent attack on the US...makes our military boys seem like they're out for coffee and doughnuts! (I hope it's at least Krispy Kreme.)

I do have to say that I found it overall a pretty enjoyable film with lots of twists and crazy hair-pin turns. Characters from past films make little cameos here and there, bringing the movies as a series full circle. Of all the characters, Paula's was a bit too flat in my opinion. Too much emphasis was placed on her "looks" being the draw and not her ability to hawk down a bad guy and kick their butt to kingdom come. Renner hit me at just middle road in the acting arena but I was so happy to see Michael Nyqvist (from the Swedish Dragon Tattoo films) playing an uber-bad guy for this one. Both him and his acting partner from those, Noomi Rapace, are making their way to Hollywood mainstream and I'm greatly thankful. Tom repelling down the tallest building in the world was definitely a sight to see! I held my breath a couple times, it was that nail-bitting.

Humorous comedy was added in to lighten tense situations and bring the characters down to a more human level. An Indian Palace, too many cell phones, razor sharp fan blades and some cheesy paintings add to the comedic aspects of the film. For Tom's running alone I'm giving this movie an extra 1/2 Sheep. The man looks great and regardless of anyone else in the film he shined once again as the front man to the super-secret government team of agents.

Knight and Day, summer popcorn flick

Knight and Day directed by James Mangold, staring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz hit theaters this week. Low box office numbers so far but those should pick up as the weekend is now underway.

I would like to state for the record that I came up with "Knight and Day" long before it was used for a movie title! Sure my name was for an imaginary cleaning company I would never own, but still my point is they totally copied the name and I should be getting royalties! I'll let my lawyers handle all the little details...

I, personally, like Tom Cruise (even if he is a tad wacky) its nice to watch him let lose and not take himself so seriously in roles now and then. Les Grossman is to date the best comedy character I have ever seen Tom play. "Take a big step back and literally F@#K your own face!" Classic. :)

Plot Summary:

June Havens (Diaz) finds her everyday life tangled with that of a secret agent (Cruise) who has realized he isn't supposed to survive his latest mission. As their campaign to stay alive stretches across the globe, they soon learn that all they can count on is each other.

Cameron gives a fun performance, not her best but defiantly not the worst I have seen from her. Overall the movie is your typical fun summer movie, nothing spectacular about it just what you would expect based on the trailers. Its right in the middle. :)
