Sheep Book Review: How to Marry a Warlock in 10 Days + giveaway

Make sure to stick around for your chance to win a paperback copy of this book!

How to Marry a Warlock in 10 Days, by Saranna DeWylde, is second installment in this world of witches and warlocks. It's fun, witty, and sizzling hot!

Middy Cherrywood does. She's got more warlock than she can hex with Dred Shadowins. He isn't just a billionaire playboy and Weekly Warlock centerfold. He's a spy for the High Chancellor, and he convinces Middy to pose as his fiancĂ©e for his latest mission. Too bad no one told his mother before she slipped Middy a potion that will make their sham engagement all too real in just ten days.
Dred Shadowins already has his hands full with cursed objects, possessed nuns, and dreams where Merlin makes him pay for taking his name in vain by relating his sexcapades with Nimue. But by the end of the mission, he's convinced his most difficult challenge is the hero's cape Middy's draped over his shoulders. Because he wants nothing more than to give her the one thing he may not be capable of providing: Happily Ever After.

If I had to describe this book in one sentence it would be: Harry Potter for horny adults. If you liked Harry Potter and you enjoy some hilarious humor with abundant innuendo, then you're going to enjoy this one. The comic hits start in the first chapter and carry through until the very last page. There's major adult themes, language, chats with body parts in dreams, and plenty of sexually explicit romance. Looking past the sexier sides of the book you are left with some engaging characters that are brightly written and easily to relate to. The plot itself is filled with twists and turns that add to the overall entertainment of the book.

This is a quicker read coming in at about 277 pages, for which I was grateful. The only problem I had with the story was towards the end where things seemed to drag on a bit. This in no way would have me suggesting you look elsewhere for entertainment but it was a little bit of a let down after the strong start. That being said our lead pair are dynamic and feed off each other's character traits. You will laugh till you hurt!

I didn't read book one in this saga and didn't feel I needed to, you can pick up from here and read as a stand alone if you like. If you're looking for a fun story to read and have a good sense of humor then check this one out.

  15. oooh, that does sound good!

If I could do a spell... hmmm... I would want the ability to make my will reality, with no negative consequences... Or the ability to turn someone into a leperous chipmunk.... or to create fireballs... hey, maybe invisibility.... turn things into cash?... control the weather?

I always like money spells so how about this one?
Whenever I want to buy something it magically pays for itself. If I want to buy a shirt the money shows up in the pocket, a drink, the money's under the coaster.
It sounds selfish but think of all the presents I could give away.
    Thanks for the giveaway: carlscott(at)prodigy(dot)net(dot)mx
