This time of the year everyone is posting their top 10 favorite books of 2012. So we thought we better jump on this wagon, but we fell off...or maybe we were pushed. So instead, I give you:
Top 10 reasons you need Sheep in your lives!
1. FlowersEveryone knows that March comes in like a lion, but it has to go out like a lamb or else you won't get those April Showers which bring? That's right! May flowers. So no baby sheep, no flowers.
2. Sleep
If it wasn't for sheep, you would have nothing to count! You know what happens when people don't get enough sleep? Bad things! No sheep. No Sleep. Break down of society.
3. Happy children
Everyone knows that a little lamb made the children laugh and sing, even if it was against the rules. No baby sheep. No children laughter. Now wouldn't that be sad?
4. Wool

5. Baby booties
No sheep, no yarn and all those old ladies who knit would be out causing trouble instead of at home making baby booties. You know what that means?! Babies will have cold tootsies because grandma was out partying instead of knitting! No sheep, no yarn, cold baby toes.
6. Sleeping Beauty

7. Sheep Puns
If we don't have Sheep puns, people can't say "Get the Flock out of here" or "Shut the Flock up!" The world would sink into a vulgar mess. Everyone would have to use the "F" word instead. No Sheep, no puns, world depravity.

If there were no sheep, what would the wolves wear? They would be running around naked and cold. No sheep, no clothing for wolves = Naked wolf running through the forest and exposing his self to Little Red Riding Hood!

9. Keep children off drugs
If there was no sheep there would be no wool for the little boy who lived down the lane. And he would be forced to sell drugs to make money.
10. This website
If there are no sheep, then what the hell are we smelling around here?! I don't even want to think about it...
Baaart is so happy (those are tears of joy) you are part of the flock.
So go forth into the New Year and embrace your inner Sheep. Invite others to join the flock... make them drink the Kool-Aid! and if they don't...

Your blog has created more understanding for the plight of animals who need books to read. I now can buy books at almost any store without people trying to make bacon out of me.
ReplyDelete*Sneaking up on Sully* oooooooooooooooooooooooh here piggy piggy piggy #slavetothepig #baconpornforever #iheartbacon
DeleteDo you hear banjos
DeletePoor Sullivan
Deletelol! you guys are funny! Now leave poor piggy alone... this is safe haven for all animals and some insects. Tina has a dragon and is not afraid to use it
DeleteI got your back piggy friend! waaaa baaaaa oink! xoxoxo

ReplyDeleteThanks for opening your eyes to all that is Sheep. Please help yourself to more Kool-Aid and moonpies! *don't tell anyone, but I think you have one of the best site logos!*
DeleteI used to mistake sheep from llamas and then llamas from camels. Did they evolve from each other?
ReplyDeleteEither way, I'm down with the sheep!! :D
I think all things either evolved from sheep or into sheep . Thanks for stopping by! *hands moonpie and kool-aid over*
DeleteI came across your blog through a hop a while back. When I first saw "I Smell Sheep" I thought, what the hell??? I also have to say that I was new to the whole blog thing, so I wasn't real sure about the "places" I was going. So, anyway, Sheep, didn't know what to expect. What I found was an entertaining blog full of fun reviews and information about authors, , books and Sheep. I now love sheep, who wouldn't?
ReplyDeletecmucha319@yahoo.com

DeleteThis group has made my life better by chiewing through all the excess pages in my life. sdylion(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDelete*burp* you're welcome :)
DeleteNaughty girl, say excuse me. lol Hey, if we can get the crapy books out the way (sorry, but there is some crap books out there, I wont sugar coat that pellet pile) so you can get to reading the good stuff...well that's all that we care about!
DeleteIt's fun talking books with those that love to read. We do, and we're glad you do too. Hehehehe I said do two times in that sentence. Did you catch that. Do, Do. Get it? *crickets*
My favorite is the "No sheep. No Sleep. Break down of society." And the naked wolves of course! I love my flock!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to make all of the reasons end in an apocolypes, but my muse ditched me in the middle of it Your naked wolves (aka Changelings) would be okay
DeleteI love I SMELL SHEEP blog, it makes me smile daily. My favorite blog item today has to be:**10. This website
ReplyDeleteIf there are no sheep, then what the hell are we smelling around here?! I don't even want to think about it... ** It's so much fun to be a memeber of the Flock! I'm looking forward to more smiles in 2013.
Happy New Year!
Thank you! We seem to have acquired a dragon over in the Facebook group so Sheep probably isn't the only thing you smell! :) Everyone at I Smell Sheep will be going off their meds for 2013 so things are bound to get crazy all up in this bitch! ;)

Is it true what they say about Welshmen? Don't answer that!! It was rhetorical. Thanks for being a loyal follower. Maybe we can have a Welsh themed post...
DeleteYou've brought a smile and a chuckle to me :).
ReplyDeleteHAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
vsloboda(at)gmail(dot)com
Drink more kook aid! We want to give you more than just a chuckle... We want to hear an evil cackle! Thanks for commenting. Every time someone comments a sheep gets laid okay, that's not true, but funny right? Right?
Deleteloll..its funny..yet sad because its sooooo not true lol
DeleteI have the best reason...
ReplyDeleteBecause Mary had a Little Lamb...and I'm Mary!
bwahahaha
miztik_rose@yahoo.com
Oh and Because I found this awesome poem..*not mine but better than anything I could write*
Mary had a little lamb,
a little toast,
a little jam,
a little pizza
and some cake,
some French fries
and a chocolate shake,
a little burger
on a bun.
And that's why Mary
weighs a ton.
Are you suggesting Mary ate a baby sheep?!?! OMG! You are so part of this group :) then the lamb turned into a zombie and ate the town.
Deletethat video is awesome. those shepherds and dogs were talented, but i feel sorry for the sheep if they were at it for all that time. i hope they were allowed to rest. lol :)
ReplyDeletethe 10 reasons for sheep was hilarious! great imagination! :D
They probably took a long time to do this with many takes, but how sweet of you to be worried about the sheep! You really shouldn't make sheep mad cause all it takes is one genetic experiment gone wrong to give you the example in the last picture! By the way Black Sheep the movie is made of awesome sauce!
DeleteI think with all that The Sheep have contributed, one day soon there will have to be an international Sheep Day - there are just too many reasons to hail the smell. Can you really imagine a world without the Sheepalisa, what a sad place indeed. To to you my Sheeply friends I send good wishes of joy, giggles, occasional dastardly deeds (the battle for Coke vs. Pepsi must rage on), and loads of excellent sheeply reads this new year. With a sheeply tear, I will get mushy a moment here, and say thank you for all the joy you have brought to my world. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Baaaaaaa
ReplyDeleteAll hail the smell! I love the sound of that :) the battle to prove Pepsi's supremacy will never end! Your comments have always brought joy to me! You always leave the funniest things and even though according to your Facebook profile pic you are a glasses wearing baby, you are wise beyond your years!
Deletehear, hear *raises glass of blood* all hail the smell!
DeleteBy FAR the best end of year review post! You know, I had been considering goats, but... this has really given me food for thought in the pro-sheep category.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! Up with the wool!
Heather
Dammit, I wanted to edit that! I forgot to share how I Smell Sheep has made my life a better place since I discovered you only a short time ago.
DeleteBooks (especially PNR/UF) + sheep + humor = J.O.Y.
I always look forward to the daily post in my inbox every day! Thank you!
Heather
Lol! Could you say that a little louder? You know the part about this being the BEST end of year post. so glad you found your way home wagging your tail behind you. One of the things I love about what we do here is you never know what we will be doing each day . Thanks for the nice words!
DeleteHaving sheep in my life has made me warm in woolies, sleeping at night with counting...And I have found lots of fantastic books and been introduced to wonderful authors i may have miss otherwise.....Sheep make me Smile even when I'm feeling baaaad...Happy New Year & Happy Baaas to you all!

DeleteOnce you meet sheep, youre in deep *nods nods* ive made some wonderful friends since joining the flock..and they still love me even after the numerous incidents..accidental terrorizing of new members...construction of their dungeon (including the constant renos required) and still have entirely prevented me from retaining..er..receiving guests..despite the recent spontaneous bbqs..and they let me keep Jake *pets my dragon* ..hehe..in all seriousness fellow flock members you know i love the sheep outta ya *grins* mmmmuwah!!
ReplyDeletesee!! puns are a MUST.. otherwise she would have said shit and that is just rude thanks Tina, you have made the facebook group a dangerous and more interesting place :)
