Book Review: The Good Side Of Sin by K.S. Haigwood

Good Side of Sin (Save My Soul #3)
By: K.S. Haigwood

Josselyn has just spent the last three months in intense Line of Defense training so she could join Malcolm’s search party. Little did she know the archangels had no intention of letting her bring back into Heaven an angel who had opened a portal between Heaven and Hell, at least not before saving God's creations from the tight grasp of Lucifer first.

Three months have passed since the angel Rhyan released nine repented demons from Hell, and now innocent people are dying, but their souls are not going to Heaven. Josselyn's mission is to find the demon responsible for stealing the souls and bring it to justice before Lucifer gains enough power to rise and claim Heaven and earth as his own.

Her whole world is shaken when she discovers what tool Lucifer is using to track down the one key to the release of his eternal damnation. Thoros is one half-souled immortal she prayed she would never see again. The ex-Prince of Lust had stolen her heart and crushed it with a cheeky smile. Now, not only is she being forced to put her damaged ego aside and face the only man that has ever hurt her, but she has to work with him in order to complete her assignment.

Is she strong enough to keep from falling in love with him again? Or is their love the only thing that can keep Lucifer from getting the one thing he wants most.

After having been released from hell with a little help from an unlikely source; Thoros now lives on Earth. He has a couple of problems though, for one his soulmate is a guardian angel and lives in heaven. His other problem is  he keeps finding dead bodies and he's not sure if he's the one killing them or not. But there are good things too, he's no longer a demon and he's immortal.

Josselyn had been a guardian angel and just passed the academy to join the Line of Defense in the hopes of finding Malcolm, an angel who had gone missing. Her soulmate, Thoros is now on earth but she wants nothing to do with him since she thinks he betrayed her when they were in hell.

This is the third book in the "Save My Soul" series and it's just as good as the first two. Thoros thinks he's killing humans and Josselyn is sent from heaven to investigate if he's killing people and why he can't remember doing it. But even more mysterious is the fact that the dead bodies are missing their souls and they aren't in heaven, they have just disappeared.

The love scenes between Josselyn and Thoros were hot, sexy and sweet. He was the demon of lust while in hell so he really knows what he's doing and he does it well.

There's an adventure to save Malcolm and where they have to go isn't a place I've ever read about in a romance book before, but after getting a tour of heaven and hell this is the next obvious choice of settings. The twists that are thrown in their way and the things that we find out about some of the characters in this 3rd book really took me by surprise. I love the way this author throws in little surprises along the way to keep you wanting to read more.

Once again this author brought this reviewer to tears more than once while reading this book. I actually had to step away from the story for a few minutes at one point because the words were too blurry for me to continue. This book takes you on a journey that pulls you in and takes you for an emotional ride. But I read this book all in one sitting because I couldn't stop until I knew for sure that things worked out the way they're supposed to and I can only hope that the characters that didn't get their HEA come back in subsequent books to get a little happiness.

About the Author:
Ever find it hard to talk about yourself? Yeah, I have that problem too. I have been married to my soulmate for almost 8 years, who wouldn't pick up a book unless promised that it was filled with pictures. I have a beautiful 6 year old daughter, Riley, that talks too much and has a very vivid imagination. I have no clue where she got those traits. My step-son, Hayden, is 15 and very into football and hunting. I am a writer of paranormal suspense romance. If you enjoy a great love story with a massive amount of drama about angels, demons, ghosts, vampires, witches and fairy tale creatures brought to life through a twisted mind, then you might just enjoy reading my work.
