Book Review: Hell's Gift (Save My Soul #2) by K.S. Haigwood

Hell's Gift (Save My Soul #2)
by K.S. Haigwood

Depression consumes the guardian angel, Rhyan, after his human charge chooses her soulmate over him. Filled with anger and despair, he lashes out. And when his hate-filled words land him neck-deep in Hell, he realizes he's gone too far. He expects trouble, but not to discover his own soulmate in the fiery depths. Abigail is there with good reason, but she's done her time, and in order to save them both, Rhyan must strike a deal with the Devil. The stakes are higher than ever before, with his soul, his friends and even the fate of Heaven and Earth in jeopardy. If he fails, Rhyan stands to lose more than he ever feared. Will true love be denied? It will take everything he's got to break down the traps Lucifer puts in his way. New lines are drawn and old scores are settled, and Rhyan is in for the fight of his life. With Abigail as the prize, and humanity in the balance, he will stop at nothing to claim...Hell's Gift
Guardian Angel, Rhyan is devastated that his charge choose her soulmate over him and has lapsed into a serious depression that sends him to hell...literally. The only good thing about this is that he finds his own soulmate, Abigail.

Abigail has been in hell...literally, for three centuries and when she remembers her past she wants out. Only one problem..Rhyan has to strike a deal with the devil in order to free himself and Abigail.

Book two starts right where the first one, "Save My Soul" left off. Rhyan is devastated that he's lost the woman he loves and lashes out at those around him only to find himself in a place I never would imagine him being...Hell.

I found the world that this author has created to be very imaginative and the characters are so well thought out. You would think with so many secondary characters they would get lost in the pages, but they are so memorable and so well fleshed out that you can't help but to remember who each one is. They say it's all in the details and they are right.

There were many twists I would never saw coming, but they made the story so compelling. Plus, if you've read the first book you'll see a few familiar people in this book who will surprise you as to how they are fairing in their new lives. One character, Murry is just as evil as ever and I hated this guy so much.

Rhyan makes a deal with the devil to either save both his and Abigail's soul or lose them both to Lucifer if he fails the challenge Lucifer has given him. He will have to battle the seven deadly sins in order to save them both but in the process he finds himself saving others as well.

But be forewarned, this is a tear jerker story. I don't cry easily but the tears were free flowing by the end of the book. Were they tears of happiness? Maybe... You'll just have to read the book to find out.

About the Author:
Ever find it hard to talk about yourself? Yeah, I have that problem too. I have been married to my soulmate for almost 8 years, who wouldn't pick up a book unless promised that it was filled with pictures. I have a beautiful 6 year old daughter, Riley, that talks too much and has a very vivid imagination. I have no clue where she got those traits. My step-son, Hayden, is 15 and very into football and hunting. I am a writer of paranormal suspense romance. If you enjoy a great love story with a massive amount of drama about angels, demons, ghosts, vampires, witches and fairy tale creatures brought to life through a twisted mind, then you might just enjoy reading my work.
