An immortal wanderer. A brilliant scientist. A centuries-old menace written in blood.

Lucien Thrax, son of the earth and child of the ancients, is a healer of immense power. But years of work on a deadly vampire virus have not led to a cure, nor have they softened the wall he built around his heart. When he’s forced to work with Doctor Makeda Abel, Lucien is convinced he’s reached his limit of patience with humanity.

Makeda Abel may be human, but she’s far from impressed with the brooding vampire healer, even if his mind draws her reluctant admiration. She’s learned how to survive in the immortal world, and it’s not by being afraid. Working together may lead them to answers, but it also pushes Lucien and Makeda’s attraction to the boiling point.

When nightmares become reality, Makeda will have to trust Lucien with her life. Finding answers has never been more vital. Finding love has never been more deadly. To heal the Elemental World, Lucien and Makeda must follow ancient paths and ask for help from the most inhuman of immortals. Because even with a cure in hand, the battle has only begun.

A Stone-Kissed Sea is the fourth novel in the Elemental World series.

Lucien Thrax is a very old and powerful earth vampire who is extremely difficult to work with. After becoming sick with a deadly virus his sire was able to heal him but he stayed away from the world. Finally, after a few years he was forced back into the world to work on finding a cure for this deadly virus that affects both humans and vampires alike.

Makeda Abel has been part of the vampire world for her whole life and is her medical research is funded by a vampire. When she is asked to give up her research for two years and go to a remote area and work with a vampire to find a cure to the deadly disease she is less than thrilled.

Lucien and Makeda have a fantastic chemistry and are constantly bumping heads. Lucien has a brilliant mind and can’t fathom that a mere human could keep up with him, let alone have anything worthy to contribute to the cure. Makeda doesn’t have time for hard headed vampires that know everything though she is continually drawn to his mind and even his body.

Elizabeth Hunter is an incredible writer. Her books are always well written with attention to detail. Before writing this book she traveled to Ethiopia for a month to research, work and enjoy life. This was extremely important to Hunter and her Elemental Series. In her blog, she mentions that her characters originate from Africa not Romania and it was a expedition that was very close to heart.
