Author Sherri Jordan-Asble: The care and feeding of Vampires... + giveaway

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE BLOOD

The care and feeding of Vampires....

I write paranormal or supernatural adventure and romance and I adore vampires. I love throwing them in my stories in one form or another. There is even one twisted short story in Brink, my collection of speculative fiction short.

Once you have your coveted vampire, you need to know how to take care of it, so...

#1. Blood. Yes. Vampires require a lot of blood.
Make a deal with your local butcher or a hunter and see if they’ll save their drippings for you. Blood banks don’t really like you dropping in for random withdrawals.

#2. Dark. Vampires need somewhere to hide out.
If you don’t have a coffin, a basement or attic will do. Or in a pinch, under your bed or in your closet (as long as you don’t have any other monsters lurking there.)

#3. Hide the mirrors.
It’s very disconcerting not seeing yourself all the time. Have some compassion. And you may want to ditch the garlic too.

#4. Keep a large net handy.
If they turn into a bat, you’ll want to be quick at catching them.

...and finally #5. More blood.
Yes, they need a lot of blood, so I’m repeating it. Even the hottest book-boyfriend vamp will get hungry, so unless YOU want to get drained, maybe stock that freezer up with tons of steak – in case of emergency.

The Desolate Incubus series should be read in order or you will lose context, events, and will have confusion around character and character development. This includes Blood Pact. Even though it is primarily a prequel, there are events that take place between Fire Blood and Molten Blood. It's vital that you read in order as follows:

Summer Blood #1
Fire Blood #2
Blood Pact #3
Molten Blood #4
