I Smell Sheep Feedback Survey Results

We asked our readers to give their opinion about the content we provide at I Smell Sheep! Here are the results. Kind of boring if you aren't into this kind of thing, but a bunch of you took the time to fill it out.

There is a lot of info so you will have to click to read more. You should because I am pretty damn funny and you might see Thor or Optimus Prime...just saying.

Ewe came! Ewe do love us.

What does this mean? The sheeples who took the time to answer love us and every thing we do...except comic reviews. We hope the comic loving sheeples were just too busy playing with their cool comic book action figures to take the survey. We obviously need to provide complementary barf bags for one poor sheeple.

2. What about the frequency of our regular features?

What does it mean: the most popular way is by email! That means these lucky sheep wake up to awesome in their mailbox every morning...they never miss a post and we love them and hug them and call them George. A close second is Facebook. This is also a great way to follow us especially if you are part of the cool sheep in the facebook group. We have a dragon you know and a dungeon...just saying. These are the only ways you follow for the most part.

What does it mean: You love us so much you follow every way you can...except tumblr. I hear tumblr has cooties so that's okay.

6. How many posts should we do a day?
The most popular answer was 1-2. You guys think authors should get at least a 1/2 day at the top. We agree. Sometimes we have 3, but the third post is usually just an information post like new releases, movie releases and news items and it is our bottom post.

Should we change anything? Feedback
These people are so in awe of our awesomeness they didn't want us to change a thing and then fell to the ground at our hooves. We like these people...a lot.
I love how everything is now!
No
Nope

*no, more variety sometimes dilutes the interest pool
*Absolutely love everything you do. Keep up the good work
You're doing great. I really enjoy everything.
*Ya all are terrific! I love your blog and all that you do! You offer a bit of everything. You’ve helped me bounce my checking account more than once. lol Thank you!
*Your posts are usually very high quality. I think you have enough variety. You're doing great!
*You have great variety, and humor.
*I don't think so. I don't think I've ever seen such a variety in posts.
*I have no idea how you can improve on a good thing. Or as the saying goes "if it ain't broke - don't 'fix' it"
*I love to hear from you guys as much as some of the authors. You crack me up.

These people sucked up to us and gave examples of why they fall at our hooves in awe. We like these people...a lot.
*I like the guest reviews as well
*I think y'all are doing an excellent job with a good mix of fun, informative and interesting posts. I know I have discovered reads I wouldn't have even looked at if not for your posts, so thank you. And I love that the Sheep staff is so accessible when it comes to questions and such. Appreciate you!
*I guess I do read the guest posts, you guys do a good job with interacting with them so YES I DO LIKE THEM. ok breathing
*I absolutely love the blog, and your sense of fun and humor. Your best posts, imho, the author interviews. Those are excellent and so fun to read. You make the authors have fun with it and it shows.
*I think the site is pretty versatile and that is one of the main reasons I really enjoy stopping by. Of course I am a huge UF fan so the more the merrier for me.

.
These sheep gave some thoughtful feedback about things we could do to improve the sheep experience. We will make these changes. And to the sheeple who hates our comics, they aren't going anywhere because I like books with pictures, but we love you anyways too :)
*I love the blog!! Maybe add some like paranormal mysteries and stuff too those are fun
*More Alpha Make Diners, love those posts. I think the variety is perfect. Perhaps more steampunk if possible.
*Le Perhaps precise better when a giveaway is international or not to avoid confusion comic stuff. *That's not really my thing
*I hate comics but I like you anyways. Lol

What kind of planet would you like to live on?
oh, my little lambs... you are all 31 flavors of crazy. There were a lot of planets with hot men, book, a few with hot men and books, then a bunch of other planets I want to visit.
Man themed Planets
*Very green & lush, full of animals & history! Lots of lost/hidden cities, mysteries, gorgeous men...
*Purple and green with lots of sexy guys
*It would be multihued & multiterrained and have shirtless men on it ;)
*It would look like earth but be completely populated with Clay Matthews from the Green Bay Packers look a likes and me!
*An oasis with hot men everywhere and I'm the main attraction.
*It would look like November on the English moors and it would be filled with me as goddess of my world, McDonald's and lots of Gerards, Liams, Ians, and Hughs

Apparently book trees are very popular. We have our scientists working on this as we speak.
Book themed planets
*^^ all kind of plants and animals, lot of luxuriant forest, clean water, few humans and large bookshelves directly in living tree with new books appearing regularly
*Umm. Hmm.. I’m not sure. This i do know. I would have my own little spot. It would be a huge house, first level, my living space, second/third levels would be a huge library, filled to over flowing! I’ve always wanted one of those really long ladders that slide. lol Goofy, I know. It would have a recliner, a window seat, lots of light! Oh! And a sky light. lol Umm..beyond that, I dont really care what the world looks like. I’d be in my own little universe and wouldn’t venture out much. lol
*It would look like a giant library and would have zillions of books!!!!!!!!
*Plenty of books, spring-like weather, clear skies, lots of nature, my hubby and a few of my friends and lots of chocolate and pineapple!
*books and tea, and no mean people
*Sunshine, sandy beaches, warm blue water, margaritas, books, books, and more books. I'm sure there is more but that's all for now.
*Beaches on half, and snow on the other... endless books growing on trees
*Very orange and have lots of lovely books growing on trees ;)
*Lots of bookstores and restaurants, where authors get paid enough to be able to write fulltime, but the books are not too expensive for us addicted readers.
*Massive libraries that include all the new releases, awesome eateries, coffee service at every corner, and comfy spots to settle in and read. Of course a bit of scenery won't hurt and a few cabana boys to serve up whateva just might do it up in a big red bow. Oh and did I mention everything is FREE - no money needed - excuse me I have to go and finish this dream now . . .

We will be booking (see what I did there?) flights to these planet soon.
Book and men themed planets
*Lots of book and music with beautiful gardens and lots of hot men.
*Books and all of my book boyfriends...with my fun book loving girlfriends along for the ride!
*lots of hot guys, great books & fun folks like you all -- oh, & choc & other yummies to eat & drink :)

Other creative themed planets
*It would be a big city and have lots of different creatures and music would be important to everyone especially metal music.
*My planet would have roving herds of pugs on it.... (I wonder who said this? <G>)
*It would be a water planet, full of dolphins and sea otters!
*It would be like this one except totally different.
*That's a difficult one! I don't do well with on the spot creativity. :(
*Beaches on side, mountains on the other with Alpha werewolves and other shifters!
*It would have all 4 seasons, the trees would bloom in various shades of purple and green in the summer, normal fall colors. Winters would have tons of snow, humans would be book and animal lovers.
*Sunny, lots of water and mountains
*A planet full of chocolate and wine ;)
*lots of beaches, and purple sheep :)
*I have no idea right now. It is too early in the morning for me and I have not had my coffee yet! LOL
*My planet would look like prehistoric earth except without the dinosaurs, lots of green, less people and lots of dogs.
*As much as I do not like extreme cold or extreme heat I would still want to experience seasons changing. So I would create a planet similar to ours but with less extremes. Perhaps add a couple of moons to add variety.
*BLACK with green sprinkles... lots of places to swim in the nude and bacon trees (what did you expect from Kriss) (yeah, we figured this was you <G>)
*I do own my own planet. It's here.
*It would be like the old Scottish Highlands but with books galore and Dragons flying the skies.
a beach, a solar powered life
*fantasy land with dragons, unicorns, wizards, castles and fairies. U know the normal
*look like Willy Wonka's factory and have a lot of chocolate
*Lots of greenery, no pollution, DRAGONS. City and rural areas, sheep to keep the grass under control: D and I suppose to keep the dragons fed.
*I've had too many wines to be creative right now, lol.
*It would be an exotic utopia where there is no sickness however people will die as you can't tip the balance to much... There would be no pollution as we would have learned from history and have our very own transporters. There also would be dodo birds and unicorns :)
*Covered in pastel clouds with lots of Sheep, authors and characters roaming around. Don't forget the moon pies and Kool-Aid.
*Chocolate trees
*It would be a forest with no creepy crawly bugs, just bugs like moths and butterflies, but no stinging or biting insects. There would be large caves that people could house themselves in and the weather would always be a cool 65 degree's with mostly overcast rainy days. There would be two moons and the animals would be big fluffy and friendly and all the humans and animals would be vegetarians so there would be no killing of any living thing. The sky would be a light bluish purple and you'd be able to see the stars clearly. There would be inlets with small waterfalls that went into small pools of water. There would also be hybrids from other planets that chose to settle down with the humans. Werewolves, were panthers and other were animals and everyone would get along.

This is a lot of information, but the gist of it is
EWE LOVE US!
Well, guess what? We love us too!
We LOVE EWE too!
These are Baaart's tears happiness.

  2. I was totally one of those people asleep when this survey came around. I really enjoy the comics reviews. I read comics and like seeing reviews because it gives me more to add to the TBR pile. Keep 'em coming!

  4. Two questions - Why Sheep? I have never understood why you SMELL sheep. I always wonder if its that you see people flocking around things like sheep. But then I just wonder if you like the scent of lanolin or farms, or wool.

    1. heehee, It is a line in a movie Katie used to watch with her brother growing up. Sort of an inside joke for them. But we won't tell the movie . It is a very guarded secret. I wasn't told until I had been with I Smell Sheep for a year!

you said two questions. that was one
