Tour de Force is at it again! October is "Masquerade blog tour" month which features 12 authors over 6 days and tons of free giveaways! Amber Scott is back with us pimping out her new book Wanted, check out the stellar review below. Leaving a comment at the end of this post will automatically get you a FREE ebook. Plus if you leave a comment on Amber's blog you'll be entered to win a Kindle AND a "HOT kit" which includes some top secret beauty products. The winning starts below!
In Amber Scott's latest book, she takes us back to the days of the wild west where gun fights are common and the cowboys make flannel look good. In her book, Wanted, we get to follow the story of two people who live in different times but through fate and a little matchmaking from the other side of the grave, come together and find a way to conquer time.
Samantha is a head strong, smart, beautiful survivor who has just lost her dad. Her only inheritance is a treasure map, an old bottle of whiskey, and a Wanted post of a man she has grown to hate, Jesse Kincaid. When the grief she is faced with becomes too much, she drinks away her pain and gets more trouble than she bargained for. Instead of waking up with the usual hangover accompanied from a night of drinking, Sam finds herself in the wilderness with a mystery man, a very attractive one at that, standing over her. Adventures ensue and instead of this turning out to be a very vivid dream, Sam finds that she has traveled back in time and the mystery man is none other than outlaw Jesse Kincaid, a famous bank robber with a Robin Hood persona.
The storyline follows the adventures of Sammie and Jesse as they try to change history and outsmart the men out to kill Jesse and steal his treasure. These characters are stubborn, smart and passionate. The book delivers on all fronts for me. There is action, indecisions, humor and a love that will travel through time. Scott does an amazing job of portraying the characters emotions; it has always been one of her strong suites and she definitely out does herself with this one. Throughout the book, you feel the frustrations, the desperation, the fear and the love that Sammie and Jesse are experiencing. Scott has the magical ability to capture the reader with her writing and allows you to experience the storyline, instead of just reading it. This book was a fast-paced romantic mystery and I loved it.

I know he wasn't an official cowboy but Kevin Costner did ride a lot of horses and chew grass in Dances With Wolves (ahh, Lt. John Dunbar, another man in uniform,). Otherwise, I have to agree with those who've picked Sam Elliot (that voice!)
