Feral Fascinations
Beyond rebels and rogues, the ultimate insurgents, psychic mercenaries, fight for your freedom of thought and hunt earth mates for one purpose--to defeat the universe's psychic emperor wanting to control all sentient beings through mind control. And you have no idea this war rages beyond the planet... Failure is not an option for the free-thinking universe. The free thinking's universe's prized psychic mercenary, Red Trekaar, seduces an ex-mercenary from earth, a Violet Child of heightened psychic ability, who she feels can hold his own as a were-assassin, i.e. her psychic soul mate. But she's running out of time. A legend claims she will give birth to a child that will end the war. But gaining her mate's respect just might prove her greatest challenge of all. A sexy Goth babe crosses Jake Straightarrow's path, and he wakes up in an alien-abduction nightmare with a chronic hard-on, powerless, labeled a blood fucker. She shanghaied him using some force's magnetic attraction. But a guy has self-respect. She should have earned his trust, then spread her legs. Especially after he learns sacred soul mates shape shift into uncontrollable werewolves trapped in a frenzied blood lust for their mate's blood. Self-control is what kept him alive so long. Now, the unshakable countdown to the moment he will shape shift ticks inside his head. His gut shouts escape stud service. Yet, humanity needs a hero. Colliding in a world of mind-reading games where one's best friend is the equivalent to one's worst enemy, each knows trusting the other is as dangerous as buying into their FERAL FASCINATIONS. Rating: Carnal Genre: Paranormal/Futuristic Romance.
North of Need
While attempting to escape the agonizing memories she associates with Christmas, twenty-nine-year-old widow Megan Snow builds a snow family outside the mountain cabin she once shared with her husband and collapses in tears against the snowman at the sight of what she'll never have.
Called to life by the power of Megan's tears, snow god Owen Winters appears unconscious on her doorstep in the midst of a raging blizzard. As she nurses him to health, Owen finds unexpected solace in her company and unimagined pleasure in the warmth of her body, and vows to win her heart for a chance at humanity.
Megan is drawn to Owen's mismatched eyes, otherworldly masculinity, and enthusiasm for the littlest things, and her heart opens enough to believe he's a Christmas miracle. But this miracle comes with an expiration before the snow melts and the temperature rises, Megan must let go of her widow's grief and learn to trust love again, or she'll lose Owen forever.
Immortal Rider
The signs are everywhere...disastrous world events. Evil rising up, unleashed upon the innocent. The prophecies were there...but no one listened. Until now. The time has come for those who can either usher in Doomsday...or prevent it. They are here. They ride. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
Arik Wagner, a soldier with the U.S. Army's paranormal unit, the R-XR, kissed a girl and liked it. And then he went to hell as punishment. Where he's spent weeks being tortured...and plotting revenge.
Limos, Horsewoman of the Apocalypse, isn't your average girl. She's immortal, dangerous, and her fiancé is Satan himself. In a moment of weakness, she gave in to her desire and kissed Arik, triggering her fiancé's wrath - and his claim on her. In order to save Arik, and theworld, Limos must make a dangerous pact with her recently turned evil brother, Pestilence. A deal that might just cost her her soul...and her heart.

Dead Girls Are Easy
There's something about almost dying that makes a girl rethink her priorities. Take Nicki Styx—she was strictly goth and vintage, until a brush with the afterlife leaves her with the ability to see dead people.
Before you can say boo, Atlanta's ghosts are knocking at Nicki's door. Now her days consist of reluctantly cleaning up messes left by the dearly departed, leading ghouls to the Light . . . and one-on-one anatomy lessons with Dr. Joe Bascombe, the dreamy surgeon who saved her life. All this catering to the deceased is a real drag, especially for a girl who'd rather be playing hanky-panky with her hunky new boyfriend . . . who's beginning to think she's totally nuts.
But things get even more complicated when a friend foolishly sells her soul to the devil, and Nicki's new gift lands her in some deep voodoo.
As it turns out for Nicki Styx, death was just the beginning.
The Graveyard Book
After the grisly murder of his entire family, a toddler wanders into a graveyard where the ghosts and other supernatural residents agree to raise him as one of their own.
Nobody Owens, known to his friends as Bod, is a normal boy. He would be completely normal if he didn't live in a sprawling graveyard, being raised and educated by ghosts, with a solitary guardian who belongs to neither the world of the living nor of the dead. There are dangers and adventures in the graveyard for a boy. But if Bod leaves the graveyard, then he will come under attack from the man Jack—who has already killed Bod's family . . .
Beloved master storyteller Neil Gaiman returns with a luminous new novel for the audience that embraced his New York Times bestselling modern classic Coraline. Magical, terrifying, and filled with breathtaking adventures, The Graveyard Book is sure to enthrall readers of all ages

ReplyDeleteI remember the first time I rode a horse, there were no adults around. I was 8 years old. The horse was a little wild, and somehow instead of falling off, I ended up hanging onto the bottom of it's neck with my hands up in it's mane and my feet up by it's shoulders, while it took off running. It stopped because of a fence. I didn't even get a bruise out of it.

ReplyDeleteMy first baby was overdue by 3 and 1/2 weeks - yeah...my doctor had several lawsuits I found out about later for malpractice for babies that died for the placenta giving out before the baby was born. He didn't like to induce labor, apparently. Anyway...I thought I was having false labor, and by the time I went to the hospital, I was 8 cm dialated, and it was too late for drugs. The kid was 9 lbs, so it took over 2 hours just pushing. The next baby was induced the day after his due date, and there were drugs to be had. 'Nuff said. lol

Well my first kiss that I can remember was humiliating. It was me and him on the beach with the ocean in the back ground, the moon was full and illuminated us, it was perfect. He pulled me in for a mind numbing smooch and I was as rigid as a surfboard and when he placed his lips on mine my son decided to point out that there was a dead fish on the beach between us and it smelled like stinky booty mama. It kinda ruined the moment. But alas the man still became my hubby and my son's step dad.

My first kiss was very awkward. I wasn't attracted to the guy at all but decided to give the kiss a try. Nothing, nada, zip. Decided then and there that no way was I going to date him. Poor guy was evidently heartbroken cause I think he announced later that he was gay. Great, huh?

I will never forget my very first kiss. It was a pop kiss. It was in kindergarden. I was in Korea and his name was Jason. He was in my class. It was recess and we were running around as kids do and I went to hide near a big tree. He chased me there and we kinda did silly circles around it trying to dodge each other and he stopped in front of the tree while I made a full circle and was in front of him. He grabbed my shoulders and pop kissed me right there. And I took a step back and punched him square in the nose. He bonked his head on the tree and suffered a broken nose. Needless to say I wasn't the ninja kissed like that again. :P

The first time I read a romance book was when my mom cleaned off her shelves and brought a huge box of books over to my place. There must have been 50 books in this box and I hadn't ever read a romance book before so I decided to give it a try. The first one I read was Once in Paris by Diana Palmer. I read the rest of those books in less than a month and I still have that very first romance book my mom gave me.

My first.... car! It was a blue Pontiac Sunbird, 1984. It had no power anything, windows, seats, brakes!!! The roof was falling down from my brother tracing his finger on it, disrupting all the foamy-ness that stuck it up. The radio was wired wrong, and ran independantly from the car - even without a key! And one day, my parents decided to detail it... from that day on I had NO roof, just bare metal, and no sun visors! I loved it though :) No one could beat my beast :)

I remember the first time I saw the Rocky Horror Picture Show when I was around 7 years old. So a first...i remember the first time i was at the pensionnat ( school intership). It was a Sunday evening and my parent just left me. i was feeling completly hopeless and alone. The room was so foreign and the others girls stranges.
I couldn't not breath properply and was clutching my plush near me like it was my only hope .. it was a real nightmare and i thought my parents angry with me. For me it was a terrible punishing ( and uncalled for). Now i understand they wanted my best and it's true the school was great but the pensionnat...a nightmarre ( still now) i was the only one who loved reading and studying so they pushed me on the side and bullied me as soon as nobody was watching...
The first time I ever read a romance book was Catherine Coulter's Warrior's Song. I actually was at a train station where there was a used book shop and I needed a book to read. I had left my Pier Anthony books at home so I hurried to buy a title that sounded kind of fantasy like. Warrior's Song turned out to be the first romance book I ever read. I almost had finished reading it by the time the train let me off. ;)

Afirst time experience for me was the first time I went to a job interview. It was for a part-time job as a gardener in a plant nursery a couple blocks from where I lived. i think I was 14 or 15 at the time. I was super nervous throughout the entire experience. I didn't get the job, but one of my classmates did. I was both happy and jealous of her when I found out, but I'm glad she got the job. :D If only I did as well.

The first time I rode a roller coaster, I screamed and screamed and screamed. I also removed my glasses, thinking that what I couldn't see would be better, and I wouldn't know how high the coaster really was. My boyfriend said it was fun and held his arms up the entire way. I held on with a death grip, squeezed my eyes shut, ducked my head down and screamed as soon as the coaster started moving. He told me that we weren't even going up yet. When we got off the ride, I told him I didn't want to do that again. Then he said, here's another one, let's go. So I did.

MY FIRST kiss was with a more experience boy and he laughed in my mouth. I was so confused. I have been self conscious about kissing since. Perhaps admitting I have a problem is the first step in healing. Perhaps I need more practice!!
I follow you FB and Twitter and subscribe to your newsletter! And I followed the instructions!!
Ok here you go, lol

It was a Friday night, about 11pm. I was 9 months pregnant and had woke up thinking I had to use the rr (water had started to leak). I went out to the living-room where my dad was watching a movie. I climbed into his lap and he rocked me back to sleep and he carried me back to bed.
The next day he told my mother. My mother came to my friends house and got me. She took me to the hospital and sure enough, my water had burst. After several hours later, (and trying to push my mothers hands off my stomach, lol) my first Son was born. Leonard 8 lbs 8 oz and 21" long. Such a wonderful son he is :-).

I've been a voracious reader since the age of 5, but my first paranormal romance was Pleasure Unbound in the Demonica series by Larissa Ione. And now, well, I'm just a junkie for it!!!! My first kiss was an awesome and intense experience...I was on my first real date at the age of 15...we went to a mall theatre to see (drumroll please as I totally age myself here) Starman. After the movie he took me into the hidden back hallways of the mall (which I didn't even know existed) and it was a passionate, up against the wall, hand up the skirt and over the tights (yes tights. It was the 80's) full on kiss that really did alter my entire existence. Actually I dated him for the next 8 months and it was so intense that I ended the relationship because I just wasn't mature enough to engulf all those feelings. I do think he was an old soul in a 16 year old boys body. He just about ruined me for anyone else..for quite a long time. There was just no comparison.

Firsts: First french kiss was in 3nd grade and the boy was named Kyle. I remember thinking, why is he shoving his tongue in my face? Is he mental? lmao.
First vampire I ever met was in 11th grade. He wore fake teeth, but told me he was saving up to get the real ones filed into real fangs. Knew he was mental.
Not a follower yet but plan to be, very neat blog!

The first time I really had to worry about one of my kids was when my oldest son was sent to Iraq. That was the scariest 15 months.

Well, how about I tell you about the time I discovered paranormal romance books! My best friend had just had heart surgery, so I was posted up in her room during my spring break. Since we love to read her mom went and got us some books to read. She picked up Lynsay Sands! The first paranormal romance I ever read was Single White Vampire! Needless to say, I've been hooked on PR ever since!
I follow Larissa Ione! Woo hoo!

My first job was working as a maid in a Ramada Inn at the age of 16. During my first week on the job I had to clean a room that had been occupied by disgusting jerks. They left a used condom stuck to the wall above the nightstand. Yes, they stuck a used condom to the wall and it dried there, to be found and cleaned up by me. O_O

My most memorable first would have to be my first surgery. I gave my dad a kidney 2 yrs ago.,it was by far harder than I ever expected. They did not lie when they said it is more painful for the donor. I recall trying not to show my pain. Letting my Dad see Mr after and seeing him cry for the first time in 33 yrs of my life. I will never forget those weeks and will always appreciative of the fact that I was able to prolong his life.
