Meet new I Smell Sheep comic reviewer: Jonathan Harvey

Give a big sheep welcome to Jonathan Harvey!! He will be helping out with comic reviews...

Throughout history, people have asked themselves, “How can I find out more about so and so?” and then began to worry that someone heard them talking to themselves. Well, Jonathan Harvey doesn’t want anyone to worry. Everyone talks to themselves every now and then. People shouldn’t worry until they find themselves arguing loudly with themselves and throwing dishes. Before you throw another cup you should know that Jonathan Harvey lives in Pensacola Florida with his beautiful wife and amazing family. It is there that he leaves the arguing to his imaginary friends and the voices in his head. He is too busy writing stories from the World of the Terrible Turtle Conspiracy and creating the webcomic, The Terrible Turtle Conspiracy, with his real live friend, Joleene Naylor. It can be found at terribleturtles.com. It’s free!

Don’t you feel better now? In case that isn’t enough and you feel the need to ruin the one nice gravy boat in the house, you should also know that Jonathan is also the author of Shades of Plaid (A Very Unconventional Weekly Journey into Christian Living) and that he co-wrote 101 Tips for Traveling with a Vampire with Joleene Naylor. Both are available at Amazon! As if that wasn’t enough, he also wrote Fangs and Fun. It’s an ebook for vampire lovers and its free at Smashwords. So, put that expensive porcelain tea set away because he’s got another book in the works.  Isn’t that nice?  Now that you’ve calmed down a bit, perhaps you should find a broom.  So many broken dishes…

Meet Sheep Reviewer: Tammy "If it isn't Love" Kostecki

Over the next week we are going to officially introduce ewe to four of our most recent survivors reviewers*:
Denise, JeanieBianca, Tammy
They might appear mild-mannered, but they are far from it...
*I Smell Sheep denies subjecting potential staff members to "Hunger Game"-like interview process. That would be baaaad.

Name: Tammy  Kostecki

Fav thing to read - I love a good Romantic Mystery and Suspense

Watch - Drama Drama Drama – Shows like ‘Suits’, ‘Good Wife’, ‘Madam Secretary’, ‘24’. My daughter and I secretly watch Dance Moms, Not the drama I look for but very entertaining to say the least

Eat – I am a salt person not a sweet

A power you wish you had – Telepathy, if only!

Something you would do IF you could get away with it – be a fly on a wall

Fan Crush - I have loved Pierce Brosnan since …… I can’t even say I may date myself, yum!

Dream date – I actually had it, no really don’t laugh.  It was late, I was hungry and my boyfriend at the time was not getting off of work for another two hrs.  He told me to just come up and he will order take out while I wait for him to close.   When I got there on the patio which overlooks the grounds of a golf club and lake was a table set up beautifully for us down to our dishes being covered with those silver banquet covers to keep your dishes warm.  We sat down and one of the staff who was already off lifted the silver tops and poured us a delicious wine.   It was the most romantic takeout food ever.  It is now 23 years, 2 kids later. That’s right I married him.

If you were a pizza your toppings would be – Onions – Take it or leave it

If you could own a boat what would you name it and why – Tamarra, It’s my name why not.

Embarrassing story - Running into the mail man on my bike. I knocked him over, his glasses and mail bag went flying and all was done in front of a boy I liked in middle school. Yep he kept walking

Eat: TOOOO much but love plain old Steak and Salad!

A power you wish you had: "But ma, I can't just choose one!" OK, it would have to be the power to heal.

Meet Sheep Reviewer: Denise "You Give Love a Bad Name" Belt

Over the next week we are going to officially introduce ewe to four of our most recent survivors reviewers*:
Denise, Jeanie, Bianca, Tammy
They might appear mild-mannered, but they are far from it...
*I Smell Sheep denies subjecting potential staff members to "Hunger Game"-like interview process. That would be baaaad.

Name: Denise Belt

Fav thing to read: Urban fantasy and anything paranormal

Watch: Everything. I have decided it’s okay that I watch a lot of TV because I read just as many books so I feel that I’m not rotting my brain. Some of my favorite shows are The Flash, The Magicians, Grimm, The Originals, and Grey’s Anatomy.

Eat: Favorite food is Mexican! I have to say not my family's however. I would make Mexican food for every meal if they’d let me. They like it but not as much as me.

A power you wish you had: Teleporting! I hate traveling and if I could teleport everywhere I wanted to go that would be awesome!

Something you would do IF you could get away with it: Be a fly on the wall! More like an electronic fly that I could watch from a video screen. Sometimes you just want to know what’s going on.

Fan Crush: I guess it depends if we are talking TV, music or books. If we are talking about TV it would probably have to be Charlie Hunnam. He is just so hot and I loved him on Sons of Anarchy. If we are talking music I’m a long time Bon Jovi fan and think Jon Bon Jovi is still awesome. For books if we are talking author’s I can’t limit it to one. A few of my favorite authors are SM Reine, Donna Augustine, Elizabeth Hunter, JR Ward, and Darynda Jones. My list is really much longer but I figured I should limit it to a few.

Dream date: A quiet dinner with my husband. I know that sounds funny but with kids and work our life is hectic and sometimes we just enjoy the quiet.

If you were a pizza your toppings would be: Mushrooms!

If you could own a boat what would you name it and why: I’ve never put thought into naming a boat. I’m not quite sure what I would name it. My guess is that it would be after a favorite literary character. Not a famous one either!

Embarrassing story: I have a small office at work and it is full of furniture, etc. I was walking around my desk to leave my office and the previous client had moved the visitor chair up just slightly. I tripped and went flying across my office into the open door. Thank goodness or I would have ended flat on my face. There were sound effects to go with the flying as well. We all got a great laugh out of it.

First boyband you rocked out to: I don’t know that I would call them a boyband but I am a diehard Bon Jovi fan since I was a young girl! Love them!

Lisa brings her own moonpies!

It's a beautiful day in the flock when can announce the insanely talented Lisa is now reviewing! She's all kinds of crazy fun and we love her fist pumping Jersey loving self. She's made for Sheep and thus, we welcome her home. Check out more Lisa fun facts below:

She is New Jersey born and raised. We hope she knows Jon Bon Jovi!

This gal loves to read Urban fantasy/paranormal romance and anything else she can get her hands on.

Authors you stalk/want to meet?
Not much of a stalker and I’m not sure I want to meet anyone.  I mean what if I like their books more than them?  Could be a problem.

Coke or Pepsi? "Neither, ice tea all they way." We were sadden to hear that Lisa has been brainwashed in Jersey, she's coming to the Coke side soon if it's the last thing I do! Muuuahahahaha.

Lisa has a major crush/obsession with Patrick Dempsey (huge fan), she may or may not have his pictures all over her walls. *winks*

When it comes to zombies, Lisa thinks some crazy scientist is going to trigger the apocalypse thinking he’s going to save the world.

Once again, welcome to our pal Lisa and we thank you for bringing your flavor to our wild and whacky home.

Pamela Kinney brings a little class to Sheep!

It brings us great honor to have author Pamela Kinney reviewing on Sheep! This gal is all kinds of classy and we love hearing her take on all the stories that she reviews. Want to know a little more about Pam? Check it out!

Pam lives on the darkside of the moon. No, seriously in Virginia.

She reads and writes about what she loves: horror, fantasy, since fiction and paranormal romance, even the erotic stuff. Love nonfiction books on the paranormal, UFOs and Bigfoot, too.

We asked her to pick a side in the Coke or Pepsi war. "The real thing, of course! Coke."

When it comes to zombies, what did she think will trigger the zombie apocalypse? The milk. It’s all about the milk.

Pam is a Dragon lover, she's not afraid to check out the haunted houses and all the ghosts they bring!

Reviewing with Gef Fox

We're proud to have the one and only, Gef Fox! He's our comic book guru and mad scientist enthusiast (ok, I made that last part up). Want to know more about Gef? Check out the Q&A below.

What do you like to do in free time?
When I'm not reading, I'm writing. Social graces have eroded with such

Books/comics you love or are reading now?
I'm a genre mutt, and as such am easy to please. by Duane Swierczynski and Ten Grand by J. Michael Straczynski have been two comic book series I've been caught up in this summer.

Zombie apocalypse plan?
Stay ahead of the poor bastard right behind me.

Coke or Pepsi?
Which side do you pick! I am Switzerland on this one, as I gave up cola and most soda years ago. Give me a Nestea Ice Tea if anything.

Sexy hollywood crush?
My lawyer has advised me not to answer this question.

What part of the world do you live in?
I'm a Maritimer through and throughout (that's Atlantic Canada for the uninitiated).

If you walked into a room, what theme song would you want to play?
How about "I Got Mine" by The Black Keys. That's a good ego boost song.

Stick'em with a knife or shoot'em with a bullet?
I am rubbish with both. I will sling frozen mackeral, instead.

You can also stalk follow Gef at his blog (http://waggingthefox.blogspot.com), on Twitter (@wagthefox), and on Facebook (facebook.com/wagthefoxblog).

Sheep reviewer Adria, she drank the Kool-aid!

We're proud to have honest and fun reviews from the very classy and always sexy, Adria! She's one amazing chick who's got a lot going on. Check out the Q&A we asked her below.

What do you like to do in your free time?
Read, of course. Listen to music, draw, hang out with my pets and watch movies.

Books/comics you love or are reading now?
If I MUST limit it, Laura Wright, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Joan Swan, Elizabeth Hoyt and Alexandra Hawkins are just a small handfull of authors I always love.

Zombie apocalypse plan?
I'll be the one with the semi-automatic, hand gun, machete, bow and arrows, grenades and silver tipped claws on my left hand.

Coke or Pepsi? Which side do you pick!
Oh noes! I'm more of a caffeine free girl :)

Sexy hollywood crush?
Just one? Okay, Johnny Depp, no, Hugh Jackman, no, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau... All three?

What part of the world do you live in?
Border city baby! I live in El Paso, TX

If you walked into a room, what theme song would you want to play?
Hmmm, good question. My mother would say the theme to the Pink Panther but don't listen to her she's nuts. I would chose the Avengers theme song, just because I'm a Marvel girl all the way.

Stick'em with a knife or shoot'em with a bullet?
Bullet. A knife means you have to get close to them.

Sharon comes home to Sheep!

Sharon comes to us from North Carolina, where she lives with her husband and two daughters (Lauren 22 and Holly 17). Mini Sheep? I think so... lol

Sharon is a big fan of Dark UF with a romantic element, but can relax and enjoy just about anything Paranormal. She holds a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo and with a personal motto like "What doesn't kill me, better run pretty damn fast" this is one gal you do NOT want to mess with. :) She may like Pepsi *shivers* but she is also a huge fan of Star Wars and the TV show Supernatural.

Some of her favorite authors are:
Charlaine Harris, Kim Harrison, JR Ward, Josh Lanyon, Madelyn Alt, Keasley Cole, Kat Richardson, Mary Stanton, Terri Garey, Karen Marie Moning, Shirley Damsgaard, Angie Fox, Larissa Ione, Ilona Andrews, Karen Chance, Joleene Naylor, Linda Welch, Kalayna Price, JA Saare, Dakota Banks, Jocelynn Drake, Vickie Pettersson, Jeaniene Frost, Donna Augustine, Juliana Stone, Laruel K Hamilton, Scott Nicholson.  As you can tell, she likes reading A LOT and is definitely going to fit in with the rest of us nerds around here. :)

While she could not pick sides in the Marvel vs. DC Universe battle,
she picked Marvel! she did have this to say about comics:
"I think I am more of a Dark Horse and Valiant kind of gal and Action Lab Entertainment. I do love Manga! Vampire Knight, Trinity Blood and Loveless are some of my favorites."
*"Yay, Dark Horse!" shouts Ben from the gallery*

Sharon has a wonderful sense of humor and is an all around fun and witty gal. When asked what she will bring to the blog she said, "chocolate! I try to keep my reviews short and to the point. I don't dwell on the plot much cause that information is usually in the blurb. I tell you how a book made me feel and if it satisfied me. When it comes to alpha-males, I am a fangirl and will have fangirl moments. Please, don't tase me! I will calm down on my own "

Sharon also has an editing site, Devil in the Details Editing. She does content and line edits.

It's just me, the vampire freak! Yay!

Well, it's a long time coming, but here it is. My bio. *gulps*

Hello peps reading this! I am Katie the Founder and Head Writer of I Smell Sheep. So, who am I? Well, I'm the Coke drinking, vampire/sci-fi, Walking Dead, GOT, movies and romance lover. :) Give me some sexy bloodsucking men to read about any day! Yeow!

I could make a list of all the men I pine over but that would take up this whole page...and Sharon's. But if I HAD to name just a few of my top drool picks it would be: Paul Bettnay, James Mcavoy, Vincent D'onofrio, Nathan Fillion, John Cusack, Karl Urban, Tom Hardy, Alexander Skarsgard, Brendan Gleeson, Jericho Barrons, Bones, Spade, Vischous, and Wraith just for starters. Really, I could go on and on....

I was born and raised in sunny CA and I loved it. Pfft...earthquakes fear me! *evil laugh* Now, I am proud to call Spokane Valley, WA my new home. I love to travel and my goal is to make it to every continent before I kick the bucket.

When I am not reading or watching movies I am with my family. My Mom (Linda) is my BFF, we go to concerts, movies, I share with her the latest and greatest books and we just hang out as much as we can. :) **Though now she has passed I still hold it down for her, I love you Mommy. xo

I've had many people ask me "what does the name of your site mean?". Well if I told ya I would have to kill ya. KIDDING! No, for real, I just might have to. I wont give the whole mystery away, but I will say it's for my little brother. An inside joke only we get.

I love to read. And I enjoy discussing these books, comics, TV and movies with all of you. If you are an author and would like us to review your book please email us at anytime. We also love doing interviews and guest posts so let us know if you're available for that.

Ad space is now available so feel free to email me for pricing or check out our "Ads" tab at the top of this page.

We hope you all enjoy the website as much as we do. No matter what you're reading or watching come share it with us. *sheepy hugs*
