THE FUTURE OF HIS TRIBE
Leader of the vampire clan MoonBound, Hunter will do what he must to save his people from extinction—or worse, a torturous eternity as vampire slaves and subjects of human experimentation. To keep his enemies at bay, he has agreed to mate a rival clan leader’s daughter in return for peace between the clans and an ally in the looming war with the humans.
THE LOVER OF HIS SOUL
But survival comes at a price. First, Hunter must break an ancient curse by successfully negotiating three deadly tests. Then he must resist the searing passions of the gorgeous vampire warrior he despises but is bound to mate. Will Hunter stay true to his word? Or will he risk everything for the woman he really loves: the vampire seductress’s identical twin sister?
The second book in this new series by PNR author Ione should have been the first! I was so heartbroken after reading the opening story to this new world, it just didnt match up to anything she has written in the past. BUT now we are getting into the swing of this thing!
If ever there was a daytime soap opera that could take notes, I would recommend their writers grab this book. The clan chief who's betrothed to a rival clan's daughter, but falls for the twin sister. Yes, twins! It was a page right out of any good drama book. Sure, paint by numbers twists but it was enjoyable!
I loved all the Native American lore elements that are brought into this unique world. It's paranormal with a tomahawk twist and that just brought it all back to great writing by a gal who knows how to see some drama!
Some fun action and adventure scenes are thrown in, helping to sew our couples growing bond. Some characters in the shadows are giving sneaks to what's coming, and the drama is building to a nice boil. Back stabbing and a major jaw dropping twist at the end will keep it all moving along.
This is a super fun read with steam, angst and hot vampires!
