A man believes he has put his mysterious past behind him and has dedicated himself to beginning a new, quiet life. But when he meets a young girl under the control of ultra-violent Russian gangsters, he can't stand idly by - he has to help her.

Denzel is the man! I really enjoyed this movie. It moves at a steady pace and with a purpose. The visuals are just as important as the dialogue. What did I learn from this movie? O.C.D. people make great assassins.

It is kind of violent, but the bad guys get what they deserve in such interesting ways. What else did I learn from this movie? Don't piss of the O.C.D. guy working in a home repair store.

This movie is exactly what the trailer promises. Do you need to see it on the big screen to truly appreciate it...no. This movie is about the story and characters, not special effects. If you are looking for an ass kicking revenge film to see at the theater then this is a good one. Denzel does The Equalizer character justice (ha! see what I did there?).

  1. I've watched a few movies where Denzel was a bad guy or bad ass and to me he just didn't pull that type of character off at all. I might watch this but I'll be waiting until it's on cable or tv.

  2. Sounds like my kind of movie. I would never have given it a thought because of the movie title. Thanks for sharing!

    1. Do you remember the TV show The Equalizer? It is a remake of that for the most part. Except instead of an old guy we get Denzel!
