That awkward morning after
Have your ever woke up and wished you could go back in time and erase a few hours? You're in bed with someone you like, but you weren't quite ready to take it to the next level. Whether it was alcohol, a hot band, a full moon, or some other force fueling your passion, you ended up having sex. So now you have to gracefully escape. One of the best excuses is work. You can leave super early if you have a job to get to. No time for chatting, breakfast, or even coffee. If it's a weekend, you'll have to get more creative.
Let's say you actually want to stick around and get to know your friend better. What do you talk about? My advice, stick with the safe subjects. The weather, how good the band was, you'll have to get that sushi again, etc. Then, once you're out of bed (with or without another round of fun), gauge your partner's mood. Do they want to spend more time with you? If not, it's probably not personal; they need a little space and some time to process. If it turns out to be just a single encounter, be glad you used protection and carry on.
In Sins of Long Ago, Gen is rusty at dating and glad Vincent leaves her home early after a night of hot sex. She likes him, a lot, but needs time to herself. Of course, she has a curse that could kill her hanging over her head, so her situation is kind of unique.
How about you? Do you have a good morning after story?
Thanks so much for letting me share with you, and thank you for reading!

Werewolves and humans don't mix. Until danger forces an alliance and desire demands satisfaction.
Leading his pack of werewolves keeps Vincent plenty busy, and now with a predator out to harm them, life is more perilous than ever. The last thing he needs is a woman to complicate matters, especially one who sets his body and soul on fire. She's a human and a witch — totally the wrong woman for him. Even if he could take a mate for his own, he refuses to put her in the danger his life has become. No way can they ever be together. Werewolf-style love is fine anyway. No permanent partner, no bullshit, no heartache.
Genevieve has never known true love. Cursed by an enraged woman long ago, females in her family are doomed to go insane if they fall in love. Life has been fine without a man around-- until a hot werewolf drops in and captures her heart. Though they have plenty of obstacles to overcome, Gen knows they can work past them. Tell that to Vincent, as he struggles with old pack rules about love, sex, and consorting with humans.
As Vincent searches for a killer, deals with death among his own, and tries to keep his hands off Gen, she attempts to end her family curse. Together, they must find a way to break free from the sins of long ago.
